So I finally found the wave 1 of voyagers in my area today

So far just looking through the box, the head/mask issue isn't quite as bad as it appears online. Definitely better in person

You know, I got Galvs the other day, and was pretty impressed by how sturdy he is. Even though he's on the hollow side, he's got the flaps on the backs of his shins that close them up. I love everything about him...except the head. While the actual Titan Master is good, his mask is sorely disappointing. It doesn't sit flush, he has no movement at all with it up.

But other than that, this is probably the best Galvatron toy we'll get for a decade.

One thing is sure. Galvatron will come WAAAAYYYYY before Megatron. Because it will be piss-easy to make due to the overall simple design, and it will be a walk in the park to market worldwide.

Just opened my 15th birthday presents. Got an

t-shirt and some neat figures.
1: A bag full of assorted Transformers, mostly parts, but I found an intact G1 Bombshell, Twintwist, and Topspin in there.
2: Titans Return Rewind.

Shockwave's got some competition for the title of Favorite Legends Class.

I'm starting a G2 collection and figured if I were patient, I could get sealed figures for relatively cheap since they're not terribly old and kinda niche even. Sideswipe here is actually my second G2 (got Bee a while ago) and I've kinda run into a problem. I can't.... bring myself to open them :lol:

I feel your pain on the Galvatron head so I sculped a new one and the little grey ring under his head the whole thing pops into the existing hole and the head is held in place by a maget to the grey ring to allow movement on the horizontal plan, and the best part the two peices fit inside his chest cavaty

I wanted (and still want) a DOTM Space Case. Ironically, I found that the MOSC G2 original was CHEAPER than the DOTM version! So I bought it and it's in my sealed collection (I already have that mini-jet mold twice loose to play with). So now, I have a g2 sealed card for my MOST collection!

My advice would be to keep one or two sealed. The ones from the molds you already have (example, if you already have G1 Sideswipe) and to illustrate how g2 were packaged. Then, unless a sealed g2 is not that much expansive compared to a loose and complete g2 figure, just open it and enjoy! A sealed G2 figure will NEVER be a priceless diamond like a sealed G1. It's a privilege only G1 will ever had.

My daughter was playing with Optimus Primal yesterday ripping off his limbs and laughing. So I went to Marshalls (TJMAxx) to get her exactly the type of transformers toy made to remove limbs

I also found Crazybolt. People said he had the articulation and transformation of a warrior class figure and... they were right. Sure he has that gimmich, but it works very well. And he looks fine. My only complaint is that you cant remove that giant clamp in robot mode, but I understand why.

I disagree. I won't say they're even close to the same level as G1, but back in G2 times there still wasn't anyone collecting sealed toys. Even Early BW figures sealed I'd still consider an amazing commodity. Transmetal to BM and so on, much less so.

This is why I find it odd that people collect sealed toys in this day in age, instead of opening them an enjoying them. There are SO MANY friggin collectors, that sealed toys these days are still going to be basically worth shelf price 20 years from now. The only (modern) things that will be worth any money down the road are the ones that were made in limited (or even extremely limited) numbers.

I learned this the hard way with my comic collection. My collection is 95% modern, and when I was done collecting and deciding to sell off a chunk, I realized NOBODY wanted anything I had. The only desirable things are complete collections, which its very likely will actually be worth less than cover price. Variants are another gamble, there are thousands of "variants" out there that are basically worthless because the print run was so high.

What I meant was the price will NEVER be as insane for the G2 as the G1 can be. They WILL be worth something, sure, but only G1 can acheives 5 to 10 times the value of an open but 100% complete toy just because it's sealed.

And if I collect sealed toys, it's only as a personal museum. It's not an investment. It's more of like an history of all the packagings over the years. Because I like the design and love them seeing the cards on my walls. My chief rule for buying TFs on cards to keep sealed is to buy a mold that I already own, opened, and enjoyed. And only on sale if possible. Often, I'll buy a repaint. I love Starscream and I open them all. However, I buy all the Thundercracker and I keep them sealed for my History display. (Skywarp is ignored).

I did collected a few sealed boxes, but found that they serves no purpose because they are undisplayable and I'm looking to sell them all off. And I don't care for profit.

And yeah. Comics are useless. Graphic novels are the way to go. Much, much cheaper and you can enjoy the story while feeling the paper.

A little fun fact: I was able to half-fix my Skullcruncher by swapping his hip-thigh connector pieces. Now only one of his legs is a floppy mess.

I dont think thats related though. Different factors are at play for the low prices of the sealed G2s. Unlike G1, G2 was not popular (to the point that the franchise almost died until Beast Wars saved it). So many G2 toys were never purchased. Many ended up in warehouses and were purchased a decade later by collectors (who kept them sealed). Some were never even released at retail and were sold later to collectors. It happened in Japan/Korea too. I am 100% certain Death Garry Gun was a warehouse find, though it seems BBTS finally sold out of him, and he happens to be from the same era as G2. Its probably just a coincidence but its an example of a warehouse find, which I am sure many of these more affordable sealed G2s are.

Got B'Boom MISB for only $22 on eBay last night. Also picked up a complete loose Generations Jetfire with rubber bands still attached and absolutely no wear whatsoever from 2nd and Charles (Used books/movies/collectibles store owned by Books a Million) for only $25.
