why put it somewhere that blocks his elbow articulation when it could have gone on the side and it blocks his hands since they don't have wrist swivels

I know this was a rhetorical question, but if you are curious, they did it for screen accuracy.



While i dont mind it as much, a wrist swivel would have helped a lot.

Yet in many shots from the show it's attached to his forearm rather than his upper arm.


It's reeeeally bugging me. Also open hands would have been nice too so he can hold the usual Matrix accessory. If I'm gonna keep this figure I'm likely gonna custom the heck out of it to get it the way I want it. The head's gotta have some changes too. Plenty space in the chest for a full new head if I can figure out the best way to make one I like.


Also didn't the original G1 cannon have some kinda sparkly thing going on in the orange barrel or am I misremembering? I liked it cos it seemed extra cosmic or something.

Did a test of putting the cannon on his forearm by unscrewing the cannon and taking out the part that had the post on it which left a rectangular hole which I blu-tacked on around the 'fin' on the side of the forearm. Now full elbow articulation is enabled. I like it more this way but since I haven't actually transformed him yet I don't really know what that removed bit is for in his other modes so will play about with that later.


Ah the instructions show that piece connects the cannon to the other modes. To be honest I don't really like the other modes anyways but I can try come up with a solution and look in my spare parts bin for anything suitable before considering making permanent changes to the piece I removed.

Thanks. Nope I hadn't see that. I'm probably gonna shave the fins off too and try get a hole in the forearm (rather than the bicep) cos I like the cannon attached to the forearm moreespecially when posing. I don't have tools for drilling though so that may have to wait. I can always put that grey bit back in that I removed but for now I'm leaving the cannon on the fin like in my photo. I really do want to change the head though and that topic gives some nice ideas. Thanks for the link.

I put the grey piece back on cos it's needed for alt-modes but I carved a lil section out in the middle to slide and clip over the fin on his arm. It's a lil tricky to make it stay on and not perfect (obviously Hasbro could have done a better go at it) but you can see in this photo it's on fine and stable on his forearm and looks pretty cool.

Not headmaster juniors, just extra heads that fit on he bigger headmasers (like Skullcruncher and Scorponok). And yes, Takara did release just heads, like Shuffler.

That lion for instance is what the upcoming titanmaster is based on.



And its perfect since he was only just a head in G1 anyway, so thats the perfect G1 toy to have in a line of just heads.

And I Knew the lion dude was a nod to the old little lion dude. Shuffler looks awesome! Did the individual heads have a name? I mean like was there a name for the line?

Yeah, its those, its the one we are getting as just heads so far in TR. They were smaller and the heads could not be interchanged with the larger headmasters like Hardhead and Brainstorm.
