Transformers Toy haul thread
Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
SCF Act 3 parts chase Metroplex and all 10 single pack (colour version) Boss Coffee figures, £35 shipped for the lot. Given some of the prices I've seen Metroplex alone go for over the years I think I got a bit of a bargain.

Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
Kind of Transformers related so I'll post these here instead of non TF toys. I've decided that the time has come to start putting together a full set of Battle Beasts. My first arrival came in today, series one Triple Threat Snake. Not bad paint, needs a repro label for his rubsign and with weapon, although that is a little chewed up.
I've got a real thing for mini figures at the moment.
-edit- And a jiffy bag of Battle Beasts to add to the tally today. No weapons, only a couple with rubsigns and some worn paint, so largely a junker lot but it helps get me off the ground.
There's Roamin' Buffalo, Gargantuan Gorilla, Rubberneck Giraffe, Prickly Porcupine, Hair Razing Rabbit, War Weasel, Bloodthirsty Bison, Bighorn Sheep and Pixilated Pointer

Ordered a DOTM Deluxe Leadfoot from RK last week. Waiting for it to arrive.
I bit the bullet and ordered a DOTM Deluxe Soundwave from Ebay last night. It was about $35 with shipping, which is the most reasonable I've seen.
Isn't it pathetic how 3 times the figure's value can be called "reasonable"?

Picked up a DotM voyager Op for £9 out of Tesco. Looks better out of package, I've been really put off before now by how gangly he looks in the box. My movie toys are packed away until I get more shelf space sorted, but he looks like he'll scale well with the smaller DotM deluxe cars. Of the 4 voyagers I was missing I'd probably have picked up Megatron, Fireburst or Sentinel ahead of the first version Op, but he was the last guy on the shelf.

My mother found some more DotM voyagers on clearance and snagged me a Fireburst Prime and a Sentinel Prime, so that was nice. On the downside for today though my kitten is poorly. Should be on the mend after her antibiotics.

Traded a MP Skywarp for a complete G1 Devestator this weekend. I also traded a broken G1 Megatron for a G1 Scroponok body.

I truly hope your kitty makes a quick and expedient recovery.

My afore-mentioned DOTM Deluxe Leadfoot arrived today! I must say that having him in hand, I'm not that upset about the price I paid for him. I actually like this version better than the human alliance one. Transformation is complex bit not overly so, nice spread of removable weapons, great light piping in the visor, and what paint apps there are look decent. At least Takara bothered to paint the head and shoulder pods silver, which makes all the difference.
My deluxe Wreckers are now complete. Just waiting for Deluxe DOTM Soundwave to arrive and for Que to drop in price from ungodly to merely expensive.

Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
Thanks Cobalt. She's still passing blood this morning, but it will take a few days for the meds to kick in. At least she'll be getting more sliced chicken for the rest of the week while I get her pills into her, so she won't mind that too much. Hopefully she'll be recovered enough for me to get a clean urine sample for the vets tomorrow or Thursday.
Issues with yesterdays haul. The gears on Fireburst's mechtech were misaligned right out of the box, so I'll need to take that apart to get the axe mode working, and there's some really nasty paint scuffs on the deep red on Sentinel's torso, again right out of the box, and annoyingly that were under the clear plastic protective packing that he comes banded to so I couldn't even spot them before opening him up for the glare. Hrmph.

Received PRID Ratchet in the mail today. Fantastic figure. There IS weapon storage, too! His swords store on blue pegs underneath, on both sides of the ambulance. Flip him over, you'll see 'em. They're not mentioned in the instructions, but they do go there.

Today, I walked into a bargain market and bought RTS Bumblebee. Good deal for $8, I think.

Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
Got a great deal today at the local toy shop:
United Axalon
United Warpath
FWI-2 Ironhide's Upgrade
DOTM DLX SW.
DOTM Que's price has escalated badly, I do hope somewhere sometime I may get this at the original retail price.. or somewhat affordable.. cause Que is my last mold to complete the entire DOTM line; not counting repaints.

Got a Battle Beasts Sly Fox in the mail yesterday. Came with the weapon, but it looks like the paint has been messily redone and a repro rubsign added at some point. I will start scoring collector quality BBs at some point soon, I will damn it!

Get him now while you can. It'll only get worse.

Got PRID Soundwave & Wheeljack yesterday, but haven't opened them yet because even though I got them at retail it was a major ripoff. $24.99 each. So I might return them if I can find another pair.

I realise you're in Canada and pricing can be a bit crazy, but where was that from? Any chance they put the wrong bar codes against voyager pricing? Wow.
