He is an awesome figure, probably the best of the FoC deluxe line in my opinion. Very well thought out and designed.

To be fair, the bar isn't set very high. But even compared with past Generations deluxes, I'd say Kickback is pretty good.

How is it?

He makes some (to me at least) strange leg movements during transformation, and I at least relied on the Seibertron gallery pictures to make sure I had them done right.
His weapon is kind of foolishly large, but it's a disc shooter that really functions well, unlike BH Skystalkers' wing disc shooters.
Insect mode is kind of uninspiring, but it looks like the Insecticons in the game, so that could be a plus.

Robot mode is incredibly cool! He looks great, and the purple and gold on him is VERY eye catching. His head/face is very, very dronish as opposed to individual, identifiable character, but he has his G1 antennae, so it makes the head Kickback-ish enough to be identifiable. He has really large robot legs and sliding parts on his forearms to help give a visual balance at least between lower and upper bodies. The small insect legs get in the way a little when posing him, but it's not a big deal, and those larger claw legs also hold these translucent purple weapon parts, but there's not a good way to pose those legs in robot mode with the weapons attached that won't hinder the posability. I'm talking about the big pincer legs that are positioned over his shoulders in the photos.
But, as a robot, he looks good, and he looks imposing....not slight and/or agile as you might expect from an Insecticon. I don't think he'll look well next to more recent insect figures like the one from Energon or Hardshell or that ROTF Scout one, but that determination would most likely be best left to personal tastes.

Kickback is very cool. I am very happy with him. His wave has been out for a while and this is the first one I've ever seen, but I'd say if you see one, get it.

Agreed but for this line the Hasbro paint job is quite nice and I love the articulation it has.

After selling a bunch of figures, I "reinvested" (i.e. turned around and bought shamelessly) and got MakeToys Chaos Paladin, Beast Wars Neo Moon, Universe Snarl, TF Prime Voyager Predaking and I was surprised to come across a Platinum Edition Ultra Magnus!

Why Voyager Predaking? Because after seeing Takara's Supreme Predaking's colourscheme, I knew i had to get that one as the leader of my predacons!
