They both look really good! Don't need or really want them though. Has this been rumored at all? I know a Ratchet version of ER Ironhide was inevitable, but did we have any knowledge of these figures coming out before now?

There'd been a few leaks, but the guy who leaked them said they were Selects, and then later corrected himself to say that they weren't a two pack. Guess he was wrong there

Ratchet manages to look even better than Ironhide somehow, despite not having any unique accessories.

I'm disappointed that Hasbro can't be more creative with these various Arcee repaints, but considering Paradron Medic was a straight recolor of Arcee in the cartoon, I guess she gets a pass. Mostly I wish they'd retooled Elita's alt mode as well.

This is odd, but interesting. I wonder why it comes in generic "Selects like" packaging, instead of the more stylized packaging of the other Amazon 2-packs.... oh well....

In any case, this makes me more excited for the next 2 TF Tuesdays because now we have no idea at this moment what they will be.

Ah, that explains why I didn't even notice. Wish they'd made it more like the cartoon model but I suppose they had to cut corners somewhere with all that robot mode retooling.

Looks like Ratchet wins this round, drawing him to 1-1 after Ironhide won Siege. Ratchet really wears the earth mode tooling well. And he's got a way better deco than Siege Ratchet, but it still makes a couple of odd deco choices. Why the grey hands and thighs? It's almost like the design team loves everything about G1 except Ratchet's color scheme. At least he has a good deco this time though, accuracy aside. But he still has the cartoon head deco, and a Marvel red helmet was kinda my threshold for replacing Siege Ratchet, so...

Still want a Marvel accurate Ratchet.

Lifeline looks solid, I like the shade of green. That's about all I have to say.

So the most interesting part of this, IMO, is that the description makes it pretty clear that we're getting 4 more of these, and the box seems to indicate which planets each one will be, so speculation time!

We appear to be getting sets for Micron (combination of Micromaster and Minicon planets), Botropolis (Go-Bot planet), Dominus (Planet Master but renamed?), and Biosfera (Doesn't really exist, according to TFWiki, might be Beast-themed?), so I'm guessing:
Micron: A pack of Micromasters like the Target pack, presumably, or possibly another Unicron Trilogy homage (CD Red Alert from Doubledealer, Demolishor from Siege Impactor, CD Scattorshot from Siege Impactor, I could go on)
Botropolis: Another Bug Bite-style Go-Bot update (Treds from Kingdom Warpath or Road Ranger from Kingdom Huffer, maybe, since Ratchet & Lifeline aren't out until December and these should come afterwards, or Crasher/Fracture from Siege Mirage?)
Dominus: Some sort of Headmaster/Targetmaster-affiliated character? (Artfire from ER Grapple/Kingdom G1 Inferno?)
Biosfera: Ummm....Missing Beast Wars guys or a general beastformer character? (Tarantulas from Kingdom Blackarachnia? There aren't really any beast mode molds in Siege or ER already barring the Horrorcons)

Also, if these work the way this one seems to, the story is that crewmembers of the Ark and Nemesis (and maybe, hopefully, some Mercs?) are going to these places and encountering the other bot in the set, so each one should just come with any repaint/retool of one of the pre-existing molds, like Ratchet, so that could be...really anyone that Hasbro wants (Hauler, Deadlock from Siege Springer, Detritus from Siege Hound, more Seekers, etc).

Ratchet as usual always wears a look better then Ironhide.

This is of course due to Ironhide's base design, him and Sideswipe with their head designs and colors of mostly red are the prime example of "generic design" amongst the early Autobots which I think works for them since they are just members of the Autobot army with basic roles so for all intents and purposes they are just named/important generic soldiers but it does make their more specialized mold-mates Ratchet and Red Alert look cooler in comparison.

Preordered. Mainly in it for Ratchet, but I have a buddy in my unit who’s new to collecting who’d get a kick out of Lifeline.

Makes me wonder what the other four sets will be. Also this made me think; considering the state of the world what with COVID-19, perhaps releasing these as online exclusives is Hasbro’s attempt at encouraging social distancing.

We got Crosshairs because he's an easy retool/repaint of Ironhide, doesn't mean we will be getting the other two Targetmasters anytime soon
