This is great news! Not because I will buy them, quite the opposite. I was not sure if I wanted to spend the cash on ironhide and prowl. I already had all the datsuns from last year and while I like the idea of an earth mode ironhide, I thought maybe I'd be ok with just sticking to the cybertronian one. not sure.
But now we see that Ratchet comes with a figure I could not care less for. I don't want to spend one red cent on it. So that makes my decision of not buying this two pack easy and since I am not getting ratchet, no Ironhide either. And thus no Datsuns. So I am basically sticking to Siege for my datsuns and cherry vannettes.
This reveal was the tipping point. Now I can save up for Kingdom.

Wouldn't it be "hilarious" if, with all these exclusive figures coming in lots of various ways, and folks jumping over each other in order to get them before they sell out... the same figures are released with better paint apps as Netflix Earthrise figures?

"Oh, we heard you liked Dirge and Ramjet, so here they are with much better paint apps--available at your local Walmart. Hope you don't pay a scalper too much for the first release..."

As to the different planets and different sets, here's my take on who might be in them. But remember, these are "encounter" sets, so with Ratchet, he's not from Paradon, he's meeting someone from Paradon. One figure from the planet, another a core character.
Micron Set: Recolors of various micromasters we got in Earthrise, much like the Target set from previous. Who do they "encounter" though? I'd say someone who likes minicons, probably an Armada homage.
Botrotolis: This one is a bit odd as it is the planet in the Transformers Gobots (the kid friendly puffy robots, not the old 80s Gobots). Maybe Speed Bot from Sideswipe, Beast Bot from Allicon? Who would they "encounter"? Let's give them another Go-Bot from our side: a green Warpath recolor as Treds (we did just get Bug Bite after all..)
Dominus: Being basically planet Master, this could be where we got the rumors of that rerelease of the 4 Autobot Headmaster characters. Myself, I would prefer we get the missing 2 targetmasters: Pointblank from Punch, Sureshot from Mirage. Not sure about an "encounter" bot? Maybe just the targetmaster bots themselves?
Biosfera: Most likely our Beast planet, and we don't have many beasts in Earthrise, so I'm going to go REALLY far out (and will most likely not be true) that we get a Botanica from the Quintison mold. Since these are about "encounters," throw in a random jet recolor like Sunstorm since we gotta get jet recolors somewhere :-p

Wait, what!? I don't remember seeing or reading about thee supposed unreleased Earthrise Battle Masters before. Where can I find them?

It's entirely possible it's just early concept art that was never meant to be made, but considering ER wave 4 isn't happening and they would have needed figures to stick in that wave I think they're real and probably got far enough into production to be releasable. That was leaked back in February, they couldn't have predicted the pandemic and delays back then. Also Siege had six unique Battle Master molds in 4 waves (Lionizer, Firedrive, Blowpipe, Pteraxadon, Smashdown, and Rung) plus one retool (Aimless) and two repaints. Meanwhile ER has had only three new molds and two repacks from Siege in 3 waves so there's was plenty of potential for more new molds as of February.

Pre ordered. Lime others, Lifeline is not a dire need for me; in my case I ha e the TFSS deco of T30, but someone else pointed out that it will be nice to have a Lifeline who can actually hold Quickslinger. And, I have not yet comitted to the mold so it wont be repetitive Since TFvsTerminator is introducing Velocity as a Nurse for Ratchet I think I will steal the characterization for this Lifeline.

Lifeline has a more lively paint deco than Arcee.. Hopefully Arcee's face will be better than just the plain white as seen before...

I only have so much money that I can reasonably part with, and it almost makes me want to give up the hobby entirely.

Actually the Headmaster rumour is based on the Decepticons Headmasters, the ones with the beast modes...

Are you U.S. based? I search using both my browser and the Amazon app, and it comes up both ways as still available to preorder.

I'm in the UK, but I've been doing some digging and it seems the Paradron set hasn't been listed on Amazon UK. They didn't get Listings for the Ironhide and Prowl and Dirge and Ramjet sets either, I had to go through Amazon US to pre-order Ironhide and Prowl. The sold out page I talked about in my original post was on Amazon US, and going by some of the angry comments on the Facebook post announcing this set, Amazon US is the only place the set is actually listed.

If you folks that cannot find it are not in the US, that could be why. I'm seeing several posts on Twitter from people complaining about another US-only exclusive, which I find somewhat understandable. It is freaking 2020 and international shipping is not magic.

Not only is it 'another' US only exclusive, it's the 2nd Ratchet in a row that is US only.

What's most interesting about Ratchet is how wrong the leaks and rumors have been. I'm pretty sure none of them actually said he'd be packed with Lifeline, just that they were both being made, I think it was just our own speculation that they'd be paired together.

Actually, that first part did leak. A guy on TFW who definitely has sources (he saw Rattrap and Cheetor, and I think mentioned a few other Selects figures) said that it would be a Selects two pack of Ratchet and Lifeline with medical accessories to bump it up to a Leader price point. Oddly enough, he later went back on that, saying that they were separate releases.

Seriously don't you just love that feeling when you find that figure you have been thinking of and wanting, and debating whether or not to pay over the retail price? Then BOOM, you see it on the store shelf with zero expectations of finding it!

So there it was the only one on the shelf and it was all mine! I even felt compeled to check for the tag on the shelf and there it was. Yesterday was an awesome day indeed and I just had to make it known that I found me a Scorponok....my sincere apologies for this rant!

No apologies needed, he's a great figure, plus it has been at least 3 years since any of us in the US have been able to go into a regular store (non-comic or collector type) and see a titan on the shelf. I got mine from Amazon, but still got the rush of excitement when I found him on the shelf in Target. Also, I totally read your first line in the Rock's voice in my head.

No need to apologize. Scorpy is not an absolute must have for me, but the first time I saw it in stores I most assuredly stopped what I was doing and poured over the box. Very tempting but I have my heart set on Sky Lynx first

Since when does Ratchet have a bunch of gray on him? I was about to justify the purchase by saying “well maybe this is his Netflix Earthrise deco,” but the Walmart releases showed us that the toys aren’t really show accurate at all! NO SALE!

So despite what I said yesterday, I pre-ordered the set. Much like movie Jazz when SS started out, I've realized Ratchet has sort of become a closet favorite of mine thanks to Prime and IDW2005, and his Siege and movie versions have helped towards that as well. So I have no issue getting him and just him along with Lifeline, it will be nice to have her, have another medic, and she will be my experience with the Arcee mold (unless I see and like Elita in stores, but her PotP toy is much better).

Still very interested to see where the other 4 boxsets go. We now have at least 8 figures from those sets to look forward to that we have no information about, we have 2 selects releases we don't know what they could be AKA no leaks/listings, and not to mention figure out how we are getting the likes of Runabout and Bluestreak (is he Walgreens? I've heard much doubt).

I'm hoping for more seekers. we've got at least 6 more to work with
