I got mine the same day Arcee came. Both from Target, though oddly not in a box together.

I wouldn't freak out, my arcee from target said back-ordered til 9/14 this morning, but by lunch I had gotten an email that she had shipped

Cool blog...definitely an Ironhide fan, but I can't wait to switch out Prowl's head.

I'm thinking of buying the Siege Rescue Patrol and Earthrise Astro Squad for the Autobots, and the Siege Airstrike Patrol and Earthrise Battle Squad for the Decepticons. For those who have them, are these Micromasters worth buying?

I really dig the Micromasters this time around. I wasn't a fan of the originals but of the WFC Micromasters I've picked up all but the Siege Rescue Patrol and the Siege 10-pack. Honestly, I've kept the Airstrike Patrol is combined sword mode but all the rest are on a shelf with Ironworks and Greasepit. Airwave should be here Tuesday and Hot House in a month or so, and then I'll arrange everything into a little town on the shelf.

Target or Amazon? From what I can tell, between my purchase and people on Twitter, it seems Target is shipping while Amazon is delaying.

I bet if I really wanted that, it would be hard to get, and Scorponoks would be everywhere....

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I have Scorponok, but I had to coerce two levels of management to dig one out of the stockroom for me, and have only seen it one other time since. I know many of you probably haven't even seen one yet sadly. My point is, if you are going to gamble on one high price point TF I'd say Scorponok is a much safer bet for a sale than MPM-10. I lifted the box and was surprised how light it was.... Definitely not worth it for me.

I was born in late 83, so I really missed most of G1. I watched the original cartoon on homemade recordings rented from the grocery store, and saw the movie as a rental from Pop-in-Go Video. Eventually I saw the first season on TV repackaged ad G2, and I collected a handful of Marvel comics by scouring antique stores and flea markets when I was older. Point is, by the time I was old enough to ask for Transformers, most of the iconic stuff had come and gone. I had Powermaster Prime, Wreck-Gar, Joyride, and Pretender Grimlock, Jazz, Bumblebee, and Starscream, all without their shells. And I had Micromasters. LOTS of Micromasters.
At the time I kind of loved/hated them. They were awesome, but I always resented them for not being the characters from the cartoons and for not being 'in scale' with any of the figures that were. Regrettably, when I got the chance to 'trade up', I did, and got rid of every single one.
Then, decades later, Armada came out. I didn't have any interest in the cartoon, but the first Armada comic hooked me with this one scene, where the Decepticons attack a Minicon city. It's violent, brutal, and horrific when you grasp what the Cons plan to do with their captives. Although Decepticons had been attacking humans for years, that always felt like Independence Day, War of the Worlds type stuff. The interplay between the Decepticons, Minicons, and Autobots felt very different from that, so I got hooked on that concept - the idea of the minicons or micromasters being at the bottom of the social ladder, fighting for survival and freedom in the middle of a grinding war of attrition between titans.
So, I started collecting Minicons like mad. In grad school I kept a huge bowl of them on our coffee table that people would sit and play with when they came over after a bad day. Needless to say, I was thrilled when WFC:Siege revived the idea, and have been snapping up the Micromasters and their bases, only lamenting more of my childhood favorites would be recreated (e.g., the rest of the AstrobSquad).

What is a little more annoying is I finally opened my Scorponok and the silver paint on his crotch is a mess. Part of me doesn't want to go through the trouble of exchanging it with Amazon while another part of me is going to be annoyed every time I look at him. I think he'll be going back.

New Video Review of Transformers Earthrise Deluxe Class Ratchet
Posted by ZeroWolf Mon Sep 07, 2020 2:30 pm
Thanks to fellow Seibertron users, Praxiusprime77, blackeyedprime, and Hokutron, for spreading this news.
Ratchet is a redeco of Earthrise Ironhide, who himself is a retool of his Siege toy (which was also redeco'ed as Ratchet for 2019s Walgreens exclusive). Like Ratchet, Earthrise Ironhide is only available as part of an Amazon exclusive.
We have embedded the review below for your convenience:
What do you think of Ratchet? Have you preordered this set? Or are you happy enough with any of the previous versions of the character? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!
