I believe they are, which leads me to my next couple of questions. 1) Is that a battle master? and if so, 2) does that mean other battlemasters will be ramp compatible?

If yes on both counts, then the design teams are geniuses. We have been clamoring for playsets forever. Not with titans, weaponizers (basinizers?) and possibly battle masters, being robots AND playsets? :michaelbay:

I don't think it's a Battlemaster, but I can't be sure of course. my first guess would be it's his accessory. And maybe, from that pic, we can also discern that they are including blast FX with the new Deluxes?

All speculation of course!

Edit: Maybe all Deluxes come with an accessory to build a Space Bridge!!!

Like Grapple, Wheeljack looks like a "simplified" version of his MP.

If WFC had come out before the Masterpiece line I might not have gotten into the MP. Not that I think is WFC better, but it's sufficiently cartoon-accurate, and you know, cheaper. And more shelf-efficient and more frequent. Naturally I'll be skipping a lot of this since I'm not going to re-buy the entire cast in CHUG form, even if they're making it tempting. Will simply enjoy online pix.

I pretty much dedicated CHUG to figures that won't/shouldn't get an MP (Rebirth cast) and some random things.

Wheeljack looks amazing, bought on sight. I can't tell if he's Earth mode Jackie or Cybertron Box Car Jackie though, he has tires but also the windshield is an odd shape and he has what look like clear plastic kickstand bits in his legs? Maybe he's a mix of both alt modes?

Found another new render on TFW but the site isn't letting me post it because it doesn't like the resolution: The Military Patrol is Bombshock and *looks at notes* Growl? The orange one, I don't collect Micromasters sorry. Both look like new molds, and Growl has a 5 mm post/handle visible above his head, so weapon modes are most likely still a thing. I'll keep trying to get it posted so people will actually believe me.

Seibertron is on the field at New York Comic Con and while we already got the reveal of Both Titan Scorponok (with his headmaster) and Earthrise Starscream, a picture of Wheeljack has surfaced online. You can find it below. It is unsure just how earthly the vehicle mode is, at least in comparison to the vehicles we saw in Siege. What is interesting is the armor/weapon. We can see connection points which work with the modular nature of the base bots like Ironworks. So you can build you own mini city with lots of accessories. let us know what you think. We are sure to get more images soon, so stay tuned.

Bumping this as it was a penny short and a post late.

But a Space Bridge would play in nicely for the idea of Earthrise. To get to Earth you could fly an Ark, or take a Space Bridge. *shrug*

I see a lot of differences. Looks like the actual alt mode nosecone is in his chest and does not form the shoulder stacks in bot. His hips and thigh swivels look completely different.

Upon further scrutiny, I fully agree. I was in a hurry when I made that post. I now think that this screamer is a mix of classics and masterpiece engineering.

Transformers Earthrise Images with Hoist, Wheeljack, Cliffjumper and More #NYCC2019

Postby william-james88 » Thu Oct 03, 2019 12:19 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
Live from the floors of New York Comic Con, we have new images of the newly revealed Transformers War for Cybertron Earthrise figures! Earthrise continues the War for Cybertron stories following Siege, and is the middle part of the War for Cybertron Trilogy. Earthwise features a return to more Earth based alternate modes, and drops the battle damage aesthetic that Siege utilized.

The new bots shown were Hoist, Grapple, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack, Ironworks, Soundbarrier, Starscream, Optimus Prime as well as some Micromasters.

Here is what we learnt from John Warden, concerning all these new toys.

The new gimmick is shields that can connect to base bots to make a bigger base.

While there will still be Battlemasters, there will also be armour based bots that will help build the bases with clear pieces. Soundbarrier, a new character, is who was on display to represent these new bots.

Earthrise Prime shares parts with Siege prime but has a different Transformation. The matrix is removeable and he has silver hands.

Cliffjumper comes with the giant cannon he had in the G1 show for one episode. He fits in Optimus' trailer. Cliffjumper is his own mold and not meant to be Bumblebee down the road. You can add modular elements to him (same with Hoist).

Hoist can tow characters or attach to your mini cities and his robot mode can become a bridge like he did in G1.

Astrotrain will be rereleased in Earthrise packaging since he (and Omega) work with the new base building system.

Deluxes like Ironworks are called Modular Battlestations and in earthrise we will be getting the classic bases from g1 turned into partsforming bots.

Check out our images below, and let us know what you think of these new figures in the comments section below! And stay tuned for more New York Comic Con coverage on Seibertron.com!

I'll be intrigued to see more product details. Wheeljack looks pretty nice, but I'll stick with the RTS version if the new one doesn't come with similar weapons/accessories. The shield does not do anything for me.

This is actually ONLY PARTIALLY CORRECT. There are still Battlemasters, but the only one they showed and talked about is Battlemaster Soundbarrier, who does what WJ said. That translucent blue shield piece comes with him, NOT Wheeljack. You can see him in the picture, he's the little white and blue guy standing in Prime's open trailer.

I have to admit that I am very disappointed that we didn't end up with Cybertron versions of Bumblebee and Wheeljack like we did with the seekers. I really wanted boxy Wheeljack and UFO Bee.

Why? #-o

Saw more pix from the show of the new Optimus Prime, they dropped the ball with the deco this time. Grey hands, crotch, intake, biceps and inner lower legs. Missing yellow on the pelvis. And the face is painted like the MC model. The whole thing makes him look cheap IMO. Maybe I should hold off for an edition with a better deco? (I miss pre brand-unification Takara.)

And he does have wheels on his lower back like Studio OX!

EarthRise Cliffjumper has pipe biceps. Most likely because of Bumblebee. And the transformation seems very inspired by MP-21 Bumblebee.
Looks like Hasui is using a lot of his tricks here. Overall the designers have really stepped up the main line. Some of the figures even come with accessories that they had on the show, just like the MP line (like Prime's Matrix, Cliffumper's cannon, etc.)

I meant it as a straight up fact, really.

But I do think it's time they made at least one CHUG Prime and Starscream with the wheels and nosecone completely hidden.

Based off Cliffjumper's looks, it's entirely possible that Bumblebee will be his own mold. If not, then it'll be an extreme retool. A simple head swap and recolor won't work this time.

Might buy Hoist for nostalgia reasons. One of my best friends (who I haven't been in contact with for years... :( ) had a reissue of the G1 figure. It confused the hell out of me because I had grown up with the Unicron Trilogy, so seeing something made of die cast and removable hands was something completely alien to me. Took me several years to figure out that was Hoist's original toy, actually found out thanks to this very site. :-P

...I'm rambling again, aren't I?

Hoist looked Hoisty and great, then sees side view....Eeew. painted fake windows that are a throwback to classics Ironhide and mismatched wheels for whatever reason. Still buying him but once again another car figure that might as well not have a alt but big thumbs up for all his panels being the correct color.

Was really hoping cliffjumper came with a pretender shell. he does look like the new MP bee in some ways which must be the justification charging deluxe prices for legends sized figures (hey if they can get away with it for leaderclass why not).

Will wait for better pics of wheeljacks alt and if the whites match each other unlike redalert/artic megs. Edit* nope, looking like classics is the winner at the moment for car mode.

Primes hands will need repainting, might wait for a better paint version. Edit*the earlier photos looked better with the blue legs and no arm stripe. It's something that's going to take a bit more than just painting the hands for it to look right :(

Who is the white car hiding in the hangar?
