If there's something the current design team excels at, it's coming up with creative transformation schemes. I'm pretty confident they could they could come up with something that isn't most of him folded into a box with his legs sticking out the back. .

Here is the listing for Thrust

https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... ore/44559/

As for the comment about creative Transformations, I never felt that, at least not generally. Some stubborn fans ignored the 2015 RID line, but looking back it had far more creative transformations. Of course, its due to there being new characters and designs. The Studio Series line also has interesting transformations since the designers are not basing them on previous toys (for the most part). But for all the generations lines, the transformations felt rather meat and potatoes rather than OMG because in many cases we were getting G1 with more articulation. Some wowed me, like Legends Blurr, the Jumpstarters, Triggerhappy, Siege Optimus, and most recently Earthrise Cliffjumper. I also really liked Kup and Ironhide/Ratchet. But for the most part, it's more about looking the part than reinventing the wheel. Just my opinion of course.

Ah, thank you. :D

Perhaps "excel" was too strong a word. And my perception is probably limited by the relatively small number of recent figures I've experienced. But of those that I have, I've found that most of them have some interesting element to their transformation. The way Spinister's torso unfurls into the helicopter fuselage and tail was something I've never seen before, Ironhide/Ratchet has the dynamic torso rotation, and even the Siege seekers do something cool with the tetrajet nose/air intakes (even if the rest of the transformation is meh). Though again, I haven't handled a lot of figures from the last few years, so maybe I'd feel differently with a larger sample size. And just from what I've seen, I agree that a lot of what is currently in Generations is fairly straightforward stuff, so maybe a few creative steps here and there wouldn't translate to the ability to come up with an all-new transformation scheme.

Are there different design teams for different toylines (ER, Studio Series, Cyberverse, etc.)?

I got my Cliffjumper from Amazon, and he is a really good little deluxe!

He reminds me a lot of Studio Series Jazz, who is my favorite figure from that line: a nice, tiny, tight little package that does everything you want it to, is enjoyable to mess with in any mode and transformation, has a really nice weapon, the headsculpt is on point, and he's just a fun package!

Super glad I got him by himself, I can properly enjoy him before I find the others. But this guy is great

This set was particularly well cut. There are a lot of good guide lines for applying them precisely.

Earthrise Starscream feels more like a sideways step than an upgrade over the old Classics figure. Each figure has both pros and cons and you would expect a Voyager class figure from 13 years later to have more pros. The quality of the blue plastic feels REALLY cheap, and one of the corners of a forearm piece was already slightly warped in the box. The only definitive advantage this figure has over the old deluxe is its size.

IMO the size is enough, since that's the big downfall of the Classics Seekers (which were overall a masterful update design-wise). There isn't really much more you can do with the F-15 Seeker design in a retail toy that size.
Oh, and here are more definite pros over the Classics mold: Better clearance between wings and arm guns, hiding the head better. and the head rotating independently of the nosecone (at least, from what I've seen).

Also, the Earthrise Seeker mold does offer Weaponizer compatibility, which is something the Classics mold didn't have and which the SIEGE mold is impaired on.

Nah, it's also vastly better articulated than the old deluxe. Actual bicep swivel, thigh swivel, more than 90 degree elbow, bettee range in the hips, ankles, ball-joint head. Not as good as I wish it was, but better than the old Deluxe, and better than I was expecting before I got it.

Funny how a different deco can make a mold look better, the two look better then ER Starscream.

Then again debatably they always have, funny how Starscream probably is the most bland looking Seeker out of the main 6 and maybe overall.

This is subjective of course and I'm not saying him being the blandest means his deco is bad, far from it it's just that his main color is white/grey/traditional jet colors with some blue/red to help shake the look up.

Which might be why his Siege and ER toys and their white potentially lead to his toys looking meh on first impression, to me his molds so far standout more in the repaints.

Last year's Target Rainmakers Seeker exclusive multipack retailed less than what three voyagers would normally cost. I wonder if this new 2pk will follow suit? I doubt it, but would be a good motivator to double triple sixtuple dip?, how many dips are we even up to now?

Too many

Ok, out of the Siege mold we have:

Starscream
Thundercracker
Skywarp
Red Wing
Ion Storm
Nova Storm
Acid Storm

7 in total.

And yes to the re-release of the Clones! Autobots too please, but then I'd have doubles if I were to hunt down the Titans Return box sets... I have the original Classic Deluxe Seekers, so I'm good. Skywarp needs a new hinge for the cockpit tho.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one
