Thanks to fellow Seibertronian TFanPage101 we've learned of a new post to Snakas.blog, this time showing the Transformers War for Cybertron Siege Refraktor Reconnaissance Team with Spectro, Spyglass, and Viewfinder. The set also includes the fireblast effect sidekick character Kremzeek. Unlike the main release which has fans assembling three identical Refraktors (or Reflectors) as they appeared in the cartoon, this set has three individual Refraktors, each repainted and armed with unique accessories that makes them look much more like their G1 toy counterparts. The additional accessories also add to the camera mode making a more realistic looking camera. Also included are images of the packaging with insert art that was previously noted as 'leaking' this sets additional accessories. The set is currently expected in October 2019 and is available for pre-order at Entertainment Earth for $69.99, Big Bad Toy Store for $71.99, and the Chosen Prime for $71.99. I finally moved heavens and Earth and and scored a Jetfire. I was so stoked but his battle mask won’t stay on. Has anyone had this issue? Am I missing something?

Inside the battle mask, there's a peg that pushes into a spring loaded squarish panel on Jetfire's forehead.. are you pushing it in all the way until it clicks?

The more I see of Astrotrain the more I love him. The shoes are a bit weird but I do love the tread detail on them.

I just noticed that the "REFRAKTOR" label on the front of it's camera mode has a design error in its typeface. The "R" at the beginning of "REFRAKTOR" is slanted correctly, but the "R" at the end of the word is not slanted at all. A reprolabel would fix that!

if wreckers have blue autobot faction symbols...what are white decepticon faction symbols

Either way the odd bot out is going to get a faction symbol put on him, unlike ultra magnus that has no smooth spaces for where he should have a faction symbol.

It's not just that the Wreckers symbol is blue, but that it has a hammer inside it.

Good spot... however, went to check the g1 toy pix and they are indeed apeing the original g1 sticker... the first r is slanted, the last isn’t.

Re astrotrain.. would’ve loved a larger figure to go toe to toe with jetfire, though the original robot scale means he should be a voyager... I enjoyed every iteration of astrotrain so far... will enjoy this one too. And yes, the cybertronian flip flops are weird,

Not a design error, thats 100% G1 accurate.

Yeah, you guys are right, the toy is actually like that! I was getting it confused with Reflector's appearance in the Megatron Killing Joke homage cover from the All Hail Megatron series, where the other "R" is slanted :HEADHURTS:

Jetfire’s Radiograph Boosters blasters are just attached by a 5mm peg. You can create a cool Jetfire armor configuration.

This has probably already been covered before, but I was wondering: How does Apeface's Titan Master work? Is it the same way as the G1 toy with one side having bot mode, and the other beast mode?

Cause I saw that Apeface looks to have a faceplate for beast mode, but I can't tell if it covers bot mode's face, or does something similar to the leader classes from TR where it was just a helmet to improve the look

I find the fan camera quite appealing that I'm ok with having just one. I put the sheild sideways on the back of the camera to cover some of the gap on the back. I also use his gun as the flash on the camera.

So what’s the consensus on Siege Jetfire? He looks like an awesome figure with exceptional detail and articulation, although I don’t care for the scale in proportion to my other Siege figures and I don’t know if I’m OK with the $ investment. I actually like the Generations alt mode design better - should I pick that one up instead? Thoughts?

Man I guess I’d say this would hinge on if you like the G1 cartoon version of this character or have always liked the Veritech aesthetic because the 30 version pulls off the Veritech look much more than the Siege version.

But if you first saw this character in the cartoon and that’s what you really like then Siege is like spot on. Holds three Titan/Primemasters, guns galore, blast effects that are crazy versatile with the rest of the line.

You could also boil it down to one face mask has horns one doesn’t :lol:

I don't know about a consensus among Transformers fans on anything. But I do know I'll be picking up a Siege Jetfire. He's like he stepped right out of the cartoon. If you're into that sort of thing.

Normally I'm all about animated series accuracy over anything else. Jetfire is my one exception, because I love the original Macross Valkyrie model so much. However... all that being said, I think Siege Jetfire is brilliant! I never thought we'd see an animation accurate Skyfire, yet here we are. While it does not pull off the Jetfire look as well, it reminds me of the DW Ongoing series version, which I really liked. This toy is amazing, and I am so glad to have it.

If I want a Valkyrie, I get a Valkyrie. I don't need Jetfire to be an actual Valkyrie. It was weird even back in 1985.
