Honestly, that's a very nice option. It give versatility. However, the toy meant for a Targetmaster should have a proper 5mm peg hole where the TM should properly plug in.

Had I been more of a 'serious' collector when TR was around I would, in hindsight, absolutely gone for the Legends version of most Titans Return figures. However back then I was just getting back into it and was quite happy to just hunt down figures that interested me in stores.

I personally think the Legends Targetmasters are mixed bags. Especially Doublecross, Top Spin, Twin Twist, and Windblade .

What I do for my customs is to add a peg hole by drilling a hole that is close enough in size. Imperial drill, of course. It's usually a nice tight fit.
So if you don't care about the collectability of the figure, you could always do that.

Other than that, there's some figures that happen to have an open space that is just right for a weapon to fit. Love that when this happen.

Anyway with the likely hood of another Commander Class figure for either Siege or the new line (and with Astrotrain revealed to be Leader-class) who do you guys think it could be?

Well, it could be a downsized OS (poss. in Guardian Robot colors). It could be a bigger, better Overlord (that would be nice). It could be Optimus with a trailer or Ultra Magnus with a bigger trailer than the Leader version. It could be the return of the Cybertron Primus mold (not likely, but you never know).

I’m thinking it’s going to be a heavily retooled Jetfire into Thunderwing with Reflector retooled into the inner robot.

Tidal wave doesnt partsform. You dont dissassemble his alt mode to then build his robot mode.

He's more similar to the Duocons in that he's 3 vessels that combine into 1, and from there transforms into a robot.

"Partsforming" is more used for the likes of the Siege Weaponizers and Omega Supreme, but from the latter I can see where you're going with it.

Since you can transform from the combined altmode to robot without needing to remove anything then, yeah he's definitely not a partsformer.

Actual partsformers are rather rare in the Transformers brand. Omega is rather exceptional because he did not originate as a HasTak toy.

G1 had a lot of minor partsforming, like seeker wings or Optimus' fists.

Bluestreak looks really good, it's a toss up between him and Smokescreen for best looking use of the mold.

Next Commander class figure? I'd like to see Thunderwing. He needs to happen. Sky Lynx or Star Saber are also high picks for me.

Walmart Leader Class clearances will take care of that. Better get that Magnus, Prime's casemate will be Shockwave.
