Barricade has had a consistent presence here in the North, the only ones I never saw at retail are Astrotrain, Rumble & Ratbat, Caliburst and Smashdown. Although the later popped up in the earthrise repack. Micromasters do seem to be sticking around as well, hopefully this doesn't clog up distribution down the road here ..

Barricade was on the shelves for a good while in my area, I saw him multiple times. The deluxes were the only figures from the final wave that ever showed up in my neck of the woods, plus maybe Direct-Hit and Power Punch. Never once saw Apeface, Astrotrain, or Ratbat and Rumble.

Overkill and Slugfest might like to have a word with you. They at least got to be in the cartoon, unlike Beastbox and Squawktalk. Maybe Buzzsaw can be paired with Enemy in a future Selects set since his "partner" Wingthing (they've been paired together twice now) is already being made.

Why wouldn't he be? He's still scheduled for the end of March so we should be seeing some in hand pics soon.

After the initial announcement there wasn't a peep. No prototype pics no magazine teasers, nothing.

Man, Prime just can't get enough jet packs... first he steals Sideswipe's, in an alternative universe he turns Jetfire into one, now he's duplicating another bot to use and it turns out he already had one to begin with.

Reminds me of the end of AoE

BTW, very cool use of Rung ;)^

Agreed. I think the designers really out did themselves with him. He's a beast of a toy and ever so fun to handle.

Bit the the bullet and ordered the Ratbat/Rumble set from an ebay seller in China. Seems like it was the best option but I didn't realize the instructions would be in Chinese, anyone have and English Ratbat/Rumble instruction sheet they'd be willing to part with? (I collect them, not that I'm having trouble with the transformation lol)

The Netflix bots (megatron, hotlink) are out in blighty thanks to CyclonusG1s sighting, bad news for us, is that the toyshop doesn't sell food unlike walmart, so we can't go to the shop to buy them :)

While my Earthrise post went unread for the Gallery news, I just ordered Siege Spoiler Pack Ultra Magnus. Guess I'm going to give my other Ultra Magnus to my boy.

Transformers Netflix Series Exclusive Megatron and Hotlink Found in Canada

Postby william-james88 » Mon Mar 23, 2020 8:27 pm

While all of Canada is in quarantine, Walmart is remaining open and some fans have stopped by the toy aisle while getting groceries. From these visits, several fans have brought back sightings of both the Megatron and Hotlink box sets which are part of Walmart's exclusive line of Siege repaints for the Transformers Netflix Series. Here is a specific sighting from Alex, over at Cybertron.ca, who found these in Calgary:

Today I went to the Deerfoot WM. There were 2x Netflix Megatron and 2x Netflix Hotlink (Bought 1 Hotlink).

Megatron looks really good, nice silver paint and plastic with shading done in silver paint on his legs.

Hotlink is great, dark grey plastic with shading in both metallic purple and pale purple (almost lilac) paints. He's not as dark as seen on stock images.
Targetmasters (Heatstroke and Heartbrun) are unimpressive, what you see is what you get.

Now, while sightings can be exciting news, please remember that this is a time of crisis and it has been advised to only venture out if need be. Stay safe fellow fans!

Eh... For one thing, I think these releases will be a bit rarer than the main SIEGE stuff. For another, he seems to have the frowning head (Yes, I know the official Skywarp had that - and that was stupid).. I guess if that doesn't bother you.. But then, if that doesn't bother you you could also repaint Starscream (who is not exactly hard to find).

What I would do with Hotlink is strip off the excessive black weathering. Because it's just too much in his case. Unless they toned it down for the production version...

He's way too shway to be turned into skywarp, though it doesn't look like he will be as hard to get. He should go nicely with redwing. Photo lifted from CyclonusG1s post.

Oh good, they did throttle back on the weathering for the production version. On the toy fair version and the stock image, the black weathering obscured most of his base plastic color!
