I believe the term I coined was "Pre1"!itscramtastic wrote:I'm aware that Takara won't be releasing their colors on these figures. I just want to know who else thinks Takara is super mad that they can't release Lavenderwave?![]()
And why couldn't John from Hasbro say there was a submarine mode for the main robot config of Shockwave?!
All of these figures have me at a loss with where to go collection wise. I could easily re-do my G1S1 Decepticon shelf with these bots, but do I want to..![]()
Carytheone said to start a G1 Pre-S1 shelf. which is an idea.

Submarines = Space Pistols
All space subs still require a 3 day waiting period before you can dive though.TF-fan kev777 wrote:Damn, I live in Illinois. Replacing the placeholders, it's slightly annoying. I'm a bigger fan of TR Megatron than I am of this Megatron, even though he's a triple changer. Well, let's see how I feel after hanging out with him some tonight..This Optimus > Classics Optimus for me. This Hound > Universe/Generations Hound for me. Sideswipe and Ultra Magnus are the same as the previous mentions from this line..gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah it's annoying.william-james88 wrote:I hear you. But I was actually looking at my available molds and nothing really worked so far. I was covered for Megatron (Classics and TR) but for the seekers, soundwave and shockwave what i had was not ideal. So in the end, there really isnt much to redo its just finally removie the placeholders and adding in the actual toys.
It becoms more problematic with the autobots where we already have a deluxe sideswipe and hound, leader magnus, voyager Prime (though that last one i will forgive since we never really did get a voyager Pime with as much influence from G1).
I am actually really forward to these since right now my daughter is into the cast she saw in the movie and its only the Gen leader scale that convey what she saw, and they are too big to keep carrying around. The voyager scale is much more manageable.
I may write an article about all this since I feel this all in on G1 thing is far more positive than some may think. I dont feel there are as many repeats as some do.

itscramtastic wrote:My real problem WJ is I have a blended MP/Generations shelf as my G1 S1 Decepticons, and it works pretty well.
I'm getting that way, pruning the trees, trimming the bushes, whatever you want to call it. There's always figures from a few lines that I won't get rid of, and I really need to make a "misfit" shelf where all the bots of lines gone by go. I have a top shelf of rando bots, then I have my G1 Sunbow leader shelf (of actual G1 figures), then my basically complete G1 S1 Decepticons as seen above (can't wait for Siege REFLECTOR!!), then my mixed up G1 Autobots, then another rando shelf of stuff and things, AND THEN the "active" bin of whatever else I take out to play (Generations/Movieverse/Aligned). So much stuff is not even out, the rest of my G1 collection is in a bin in the attic (with some Alternators and MP stuff mixed in for good measure) along with everything in my sale thread in bins.Wolfman Jake wrote:I hear you there. Many years ago, I wanted to keep everything and keep each line as complete as possible, even if it meant having multiple versions of some characters (and sometimes, that meant having different deco versions of the same mold as the same character). But, space limitations in my apartment started to become an issue, and as much better "G1" representations of characters came out, like Combiner Wars Legends Class Powerglide, it was easier to let go of "less perfect" incarnations such as Universe 2008 Ultra Class Powerglide. Every 12 to 18 months or so, after buying up a new subline of Generations figures, I usually round up anything I don't need to keep anymore for sake of having a newer, more desirable version, and sell them off. In addition to saving space, it gives me the added benefit of some extra money to buy new, better figures down the line. For a line of plastic figures that represent robotic, metallic beings, my Transformers collection is surprisingly organic.itscramtastic wrote:It's tough man. OF COURSE I need them, but do I reaaaaaaaaaally need them?! Unless I'm really pulling the trigger and selling a bunch of stuff, I should probably stick with picking up Reflector x3 and some Tetrajets..I mean, I NEED Starscream.william-james88 wrote:Ok, I get it now. But dont you need some smaller voyager sized decepticons to fight all those deluxe and voyager sized autobots you have?itscramtastic wrote:My real problem WJ is I have a blended MP/Generations shelf as my G1 S1 Decepticons, and it works pretty well.

I know Ironhidensh and Rodimus Prime can’t either, they buy up all the ones I list for sale!!carytheone wrote:I'll second that. And on that note, can one really have enough OPs? I sure can't
