OK. first thing first: that Cybertron Prime is exactly what I wanted from the Leader Prime! It looks amazing! And now I can comfortably pass on Magnus and the voyager Prime. Joy!

Second, I finally found the Micro and Battlemasters this weekend! Opened them up this afternoon after getting home from a wedding and I have to say, these are some fun little dudes. I somehow missed the fact that 3 of the 6 micros have waist swivels, which is cool! I've heard some bad things about both Bot teams, but they are both pretty good. I enjoy them! Battlemasters are good too, nice and chunky and the effects parts are a blast!

At this rate we'll see 'Starblast Optimus Prime' as a pretool to a Star Saber in the mid 2020. Or a Megatron retooled into a tank Optimus. Or...well, you get the joke. Slap that iconic head and color scheme on anybody big and intimidating looking and you got a toy to fill a wave.

While I get your concern, and share it to a degree, this is no different than eny other major toy line keeping its main heroes at the forefront. The difference is that in 99% of them is a 5" action figure and a playset or a vehicle. We are the oddball because pur Playsets and Vehicles ARE the Action Figures.

But Prime has more room thsn ypu think. Next year we could get an "Earth Mode" Leader version of Car Robots Prime; the fire engine uses the same engineering style as Siege Magnus and the toylune in general with add on armor, boots, gauntlets, etc. So there is 2020.

Then ypu have Star Convoy, who cpuld backpedal as Armada Optimus,

then you have Energon Prime, and I think Combiner Wars missed out on an opportunity to make transformong Trailer Armor, or an Armada Wing Saber that utilized the CW engineering.

The Star Saber idea is a sound one, even though most pf us would laugh at the Jet Optimus part.

And they said almost every year. Nothing says Hasbro can't pull a fast one and give us a Leader figure who interacts with their Optimus Prime. Maybe a retool of Star Saber as Jetfire in such a way that a Voyager Prime could wear the armor, speaking of Jet Optimus. We don't know what Hasbro has in store, never in a million years did anyone think we would get an Orion Pax evolution figure, so Hasbro cpuld do anything. Its their own rules to break

A lot of us have been speculating about a possible "booster pack" of weapon effects for the SIEGE line. They're pretty neat for customizing a battle scene, but a bit scarce right now as they only come with the Battle Master figures. Getting a bunch of different colors for the various laser, explosion, muzzleflash, sword slashing, etc. effects seems like a great idea, but what if Hasbro combined that with an actual weapons pack? I'm thinking something similar to the original Masters of the Universe line and the more recent "MOTU Classics" line, where we can get a selection of accessories in different colors to customize our figures. It would be a great way for Hasbro to put out some "cartoon" colored accessories for the siege figures, like a white shoulder missile launcher for Sideswipe, or a light blue gun for Ultra Magnus, or an orange axe for Optimus Prime. I think the combination of weapons and special effects parts together would make such a booster pack a hot seller for both collectors and kids alike.

It'd certainly help arm up the legends figures from the Prime Wars Trilogy. Plus, it'd be nice for them to cover older figures' accessories too because then the parts could be applied to older displays by virtue of just changing weapons out with new versions with compatible muzzles/attachment points

Power of the Primes as in the 13 Original Transformers, as in Titan Master-style figures that act as super-deluxe Energon Stars that channel the power of said 13 Original Transformers.

The Prime Masters were lame.

Sadly that was the only way they were going to handle the 13 as its far easier then working with some of the designs of the 13...plus how they would break down in class sizings, for marketing they would need to assign factions...Not to mention they would still need recognisable characters in said toyline, taking away available size slots...basically it wasn't going to happen in a years toyline. They compromised with the Prime masters which let them homage the pretenders to boot. I mean how many of us thought that the pretenders would ever see the light of day again (outside of bot mode references)

Best bet for the original 13 is if hasbro plan a whole trilogy around them and then release 4 a year in Voyager and leader Class (or deluxe and voyager... More space in those slots)

I'm possible now, maybe, but not necessarily if they'd been running on the scale of Titans Return,

Nexus Prime would be a combiner, so he markets as four deluxes, a voyager, and maybe a scout too, spreading out size-classes. Amalgamous would be a leader to allow maximum alt-modes. Prima, Megatronus, Onyx, and Optimus would be Voyager class, Solus, Quintus, Maximo would be deluxe class. Micronus would get packed in with Amalgamous. Alpha Trion and Vector Prime could have been rereleased or retooled as store exclusives since they already have good molds. And you can double-dip on molds. Nexus Prime would have a box-set rereleased in blue and red. Megatronus would have a repaint as the Fallen. Optimus as Nemesis Prime. Then fill out the line with minor Primes or Prime-adjacent characters like Nova, Zeta, Sentinel, Rodimus, Primal, Thunderwing, and maybe new takes on Cybertron Evac, Scourge, and Overdrive, or homages to characters like Lio Convoy. The $5 class would be filled with Minions that become parts of primal relics like the Requiem Blaster.

This is exactly the next line I want them to do! :D You know after there War for Cybertron trilogy is done...
I only have one edit

The Titans for there line would be new molds of Primes and Unicron, they sorely need new figures that aren't bogged down by gimmicks. They need new figures almost as much as the Thirteen.

The Prime fetish is pretty toxic to Transformers in general. It does make you wonder if anything like Beast Wars or the New Character World Building of the Unicron Trilogy could ever happen again? :(

No, we won't because Hasbro's current mandate is for an 'evergreen' line which only feature the iconic and marketable (reed: GEEWUN!) characters. The era of Transformers doing new things has died off after Animated and Prime, since the latter was a bit of a transitional era where they tried to do an Ultimate Marvel but ultimately the Aligned continuity imploded on itself, leading them to focus more neo-G1 even more.

Except more Optimus, more Bumblebee and (yuck) more Windblade. Forever.

Yay shockwave turned up today. Thanks to kapowtoys

Its a beautiful figure, the size for the price point is a bit annoying but im in love. Just not a fan of the 'leader kibble' stuff so its going to be in hover drone mode when he isnt in cruiser mode

Dunno if counts as arms since they have no hands on the ends and they're the same as the bug mode but eh it's sorta four arms. Fun toy. A lot of articulation for a smallish figure.

That Ironhide looks alright. He's always had a pretty dull design overall but that's certainly one of the better toys (even if he does borrow somewhat from Kup in the chest area) and while the vehicle mode is very blocky it still looks a bit more 'cybertronian' than most of the other attemps in Siege (though could have hid those shoulders better. Still not my thing but it beats the hell out of previous versions of that character (such as the Classics figure with the horribly segmented vehicle mode, and the forgetteble Offroad retool Combiner Wars figure oh and of course the infamous crummy headless G1 toy).
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool! :)

Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

I don't mind getting new Primes so often, but getting some brand new molds for someone like Wheeljack or Sunstreaker would be nice.

The Amazon Counterpunch/Punch was pretty cool at least.

If I have an issue with Siege, I wish they would've changed it up a little bit with the Decepticons a little more.

This is something we have been advocating for since at least Energon had those Stars and weapons.

I dont see that being something the mainline retailers will want to support though, honestly.

After stuffing the FireDrive flames into the back of Shockwave's armor I really want a ton of those, so maybe Hasbro could do ot as an HTS or Web/Amazon exclusive.

I really hope thye dont give us a sunstreaker from this since they are supposed to be different molds. Sunstreaker from Siege sideswipe would be a real cheap move and simply another temporary solution to having a new Sunstreaker in a classics collection.

They offer very different things so its all about what you want. If you want a G1 themed Prime in scale with a generations/classics collection, then the standard voyager is an excellent option.

I probably should be clearer when I say that. I would be fine with a different mold Siege SunStreaker, though we pretty much onow all the molds coming, I more mean that I want a comperable Sunstreaker in the same design style to go with this. Throwing Siwge Sideswipe with CW Sunstreaker just aint gonna cut it, and Siege Sideswipe with the Classics Streaker defeats the purpose.

EnergonStew wrote:I confused on what to get. Standard voyager or this crazy cybertron esque figure. Any thoughts?

Tough choice if you are only gettung one, and probably best to see more pocs of the CYB version before saying. That said, the Voyager is a fantastic toy all around that does neat Transforming tricks and has lots of playable 5mm ports, and even his own jetpack. So think very hard about turning this down. The Cybertron version will be a stockier Optimus Prime with a much more straight up, simpler Transformation and lots of add ons.

Does anybody remember way back in Combiner Wars when Hasbro put out a few special edition sticker sheets for the Aerialbots and Stunticons (I think)? If I recall, it was limited to the Asian market only. I'd like to see Hasbro do the same thing with SIEGE, but make it more available worldwide. Optional extra stickers would be fun, but I'd also like to see some made specifically to fill out missing paint apps on the figures. It would be helpful to add the silver/white and red details to Prowl's pelvis over the less than accurate yellow paint apps. Sideswipe could use a white triangle for his pelvis and white squares for his kneecaps. Most figures in the line could use a little touching up to add more (optional) G1 details, be they from the original toy or cartoon character models. Characters like Prowl and Red Alert also get saddled with Cybertronian writing on their alt modes as opposed to the traditional "Police" or "Fire Chief, respectively. A set of new stickers could give us the option to cover up the Cybertronian glyphs with Roman letters to make more "Earth-based" looks for them.

But wouldn't that go against the theme of the line, which is pre-Earth, the beginning of the war? It wouldn't make sense for them to have English in them if they have yet to go to Earth. I'm saying this just about the writing, stickers for the knees and crotches would be fine. They're much needed, actually, as I think both Sideswipe and Prowl are kinda bland.

My concern with stickers for Siege is there is so much molded detail that may get covered. I did get a set of those official stickers for Devastator and they are very nice (possibly better than repro). I'm sure ToyHax will get on stickers for Prowl, Red Alert and any others that are lacking.

Motto: "Operation: T E R M I N A T I O N"
Weapon: Heat-Seeking Incendiary Missiles
Vote polls Aside, we do still have Unknown Evil (Which is Dezaras/Deathsaurus) and Star Saber on the Prime votes, so i think there will be Star Saber and Deathsaurus planned in siege? (or probably next year or 2021 for the rest of another trilogy?) :???: :-D
Still Playing Fall Of Cybertron, it's still a great sequel!

For Siege? Definitely not. For the trilogy as a whole? It's plausible and certainly in the cards, as I doubt they threw away all those POTP concepts.
