These have better articulation and detail than Action Masters ever did.-Kanrabat- wrote:Just a thought.
Seeing how popular these non-transforming figures are, also Blokees, and 3-0, did any of you have forgiven the G1 Action-Masters?
Or even plan to get some?

Sure, but so are modern Transformers VS G1. Yet, G1 never ceased to be popular. Action Masters were pioneers in making action figures of Transformers that were as toon accurate as close as possible within the budget and tech of the time. That must count for something.

Yes it did. Action Masters were the reason Transformers as a brand died in its biggest market of the 1980s, the United States.-Kanrabat- wrote:Yet, G1 never ceased to be popular.
Europe, Australasia, and Japan kept it going in their smaller markets, but only because they went in other directions different from relying primarily on Action Masters like the U.S. did.

Down Under punching above it's weight in their "smaller market".

I don't get way the Orion Pax is named Menasor, I guess it's another case of them wanting to do a new character, but Hasbro refused to let them use a new name like with the Lady Cliffjumper they did.

You call 60 bucks "too expensive" compared to the hundreds upon hundreds of dollars that the Fun Pub-era exclusives were sold at cost (and which have since gone up into the thousands of dollars on the secondary market)?Perceptor1996 wrote:Man these con exclusive Yolopark sets are always interesting and way to expensive.
They only made about 500 of these sets and nearly sold out of all of them at just the convention alone. There's barely any left in stock available to buy afterward.
Guess you've never seen the unreleased Universe Menasor prototype from back in 2004:Perceptor1996 wrote:I don't get way the Orion Pax is named Menasor, I guess it's another case of them wanting to do a new character, but Hasbro refused to let them use a new name like with the Lady Cliffjumper they did.

And I already explained this Yolopark toy's origin in my big BotCon 2026 report.

I'm with you on this. Just isn't value for my money. Resale value is irrelevant since I'm not looking to flip for a profit.
