It was just a retool to have something else on the shelves for people to buy. Just like optimus and cyclonus. More product for parents to buy for kids.

And yeah, they are planned out for 2 years. And thats why the full computron is coming out 6 months after the individual scatershot. Meaning there were 6 months within this 2 year phase where Hasbro wasnt working on anything aside from scattershot. I am assuming that when they saw the Groove Takara was making (way before we did) along with the little drill accessory for drillhorn, they thought they had enough components that the extra resources required to make the rest of Computron wouldnt be that big afterall. But that was months after the individual scattershot was cemented within their release schedule. This all happened before any of us got any word of it or saw any prototypes (it had to, knowing how long the process is), and now that we see everything at once it looks weird. But when you look at the time difference between the two, it makes sense. The full computron came to fruition at hasbro months after they had finished scattershot, who was to be released alongside onslaught.

Again, Ramhorn's drill was made by Hasbro, not FunPub. FunPub only made the head, the drill bit was tooling from Hasbro they already had access to. That gives us an idea of not only when they started designing Computron, but how far ahead of that Scattershot must have been conceived for him to see his own release.

I thought this thread was about "CW Fan-Built Victorion and the Rust Renegades" . . .

Those photos only cement my decision to buy it even more.

I know Rust Dust is supposed to go there, but her new chestplate looks a little bit uneventful, unlike Defensors

I'm debating whether to buy Computron or Victorion, Victorion uses old molds but Computron uses new molds...I might end up getting Hasbro Computron though...

I'm getting both. Victorion and Computron are coming out with enough space that I'm good with getting both

I think this is a great figure and certainly on my want list. What I believe the most important thing to think about this is the key to more "fan built" figures/concepts probably largely based on sales of figures like this!
