I tried, but it looked too predictable.

Heh. Thats funny as we have two versions of (basically) the same character alt model, with neither using the woosh bar as the eyes.
And there's nothing wrong with a bit of predictability, as long as you counter it with something else unpredictable. Like Knight hanging out of the robot mode's knee.

I'm thinking more on the line that Knight forgot to get out of the car. KITT transforms and... *SQEEISH*!
Knight pie anyone?

I never really liked MK anyway.
Did anyone? KITT was the star of the show. Well, KITT and April. She knew how to fix engines.
And Devon. He was good for a chuckle.

It's surprisingly hard to find a good picture of her.

the guy who designed kitt's nose and dash in the pilot and seasons 1-2 was a toy designer from mattel
even though george barris is been mentioned at times as the creator of the KITTs look his company only built the insert cars that were used for the shots of KITT going into super pursuit mode and the convertible top mode
speaking of SPM and the drop top KITTs, the 'insert' cars had no drive trains and were usually shot when the car was stopped with the exception of some of the SPM shots where the car was lifted off of the ground and electric motors spun the front and rear wheels in close ups.
the location of some of KITTs' features had buttons that were NEVER on the dash, center console, or overhead console, for example
the auto doors/windows buttons that lit up as if they were being pressed followed by a shot of KITT's window rolling up or down, or door opening or closing
the pop out oxygen vent
sliding panel for super pursuit mode
the 'C' button for convertible mode
a sliding panel that revealed access to KITT's inner circuitry (best shown in "Killer Kitt")
these were all insert shots
in "Trust Doesn't Rust" KARR's voice modulator was never actually seen on the dashboard, it was just a insert shot on a black background. KARR's voicebox did not show up on a dashboard until "KITT Vs KARR" which was a reused season 1/2 dash with the KARR modulator installed inplace of the red LED used for KITT's.
In "Killer Kitt" the evil version of KITT's voice was also done by William Daniels, but it was modified electronically to sound as little as KITT's voice as possible.

Any takers?
Also, those in the UK getting the channel Virgin 1 on Monday, repeats of KnightRider are starting and showing daily.
