Absolutely nothing survived my childhood. My mom made my brother and I give away our TF's to a kid down the street from us when we stopped playing with them and got into girls, clothes and music.
I've been rebuilding since 2001.

I can say without hesitation that it is Fortress Maximus. Hands down the best and most played with Transformer I have ever had.

Only about half of my collection survived, the other half found its way to a Toy Drive...but has mostly been replaced after many years of searching.
As far as the best condition, G1 Omega Supreme. He's still beautiful and one of my most cherished pieces.

I told the fire to go **** itself, and it did.

MISP preferred, but will consider opened NM/Complete, especially for older figures. Lots of TFs for trade! Please PM any inquiries, serious interest only!

My Free Wheeler and Tailspin lasted the test of my childhood. But one of Tailspins arms broke off but nothing a little super duper glue cant fix.

Not one survived. They all fell victim to a yard sale when I was a teenager. I had nearly all the early G1 figures too.
I remember thinning out my collection by adding to the yard sale, but I kept a bunch of my favorite figures. Then a man in a pickup truck full of stuff bound for Mexico showed up with a huge wad of cash. Upon buying all my Transformers, he asked if I had any more.
The truth is, I don't remember selling my favorite figures to him but I may have been blinded by dollar signs and sold him the rest. I honestly have no idea (possibly because I was into smoking a lot of something known to contribute to short term memory loss at the time).
So there you go kids. Don't do drugs or you may end up smoking your childhood Transformers collection.
