Probably due to the helmet; unlike blaster, who had the visor attached to the helmet, soundwaves appears to be molded in his headmaster, thus leading to a bit of strange proportions

That thing looks like someone took apart a G1 Soundwave toy, then gave it modern articulation and gimmicks. I love it.

This would look SOOO GOOD if it weren't for that tall visor. Just a bit more paint to elongate the faceplate and it would be perfection.

Well, it's still possible that whomever took the pic didn't plug soundwaves head in all the way, the render shows how it should look, so, that's a good sign.

Takara, please save this mold with some better paint apps! Though, even then, nothing can fix the dodgy "boombox" mode.

I'm hoping that Blurr is just a test shot too. The blue is all wrong, and there is almost no paint detail.
