I think a better idea would be Generations HAs that include TFP, A/E/C, G1, etc. But that's just IMO.

BeastProwl wrote:Do you think its a good idea? A more accurate and slightly larger TF Prime Cliffjumper or Bumblebee with a human companion would be pretty boss. Ultra sized Bulkhead and Breakdown, Leader Megs and OP, Why not upscale everything? That'd solve alot of problem IMO. That or make a huge mess. But think of the possabilities!
I'd say it will be a huge mess. We don't have not enough human companions in the series, and the only army is the evil MECH with its own agenda. Story-wise it won't work.
And what problems? I don't consider lack of scale or not having a Leader Megatron a problem, do you?

Either deluxe Arcee(FE or PRID) could easily stand in as a HA Arcee's robot mode, IMO. With that in mind, HA Arcee don't even need to transform to robot mode, or Hasbro could just pack Cyberverse Arcee in. I think Arcee would have decent scale then.Shadowstream wrote:Big mess. Not enough humans in the series, and what few there are all find new and exciting ways to make me hate them more with each passing episode. Scale issues are bound to occur anyway, I mean just note the tremendous mass-shifting involved to get Arcee transformed from a bike to a bot just a bit shorter than Bumblebee... can't replicate that in toy form. Finally with prices of Deluxes jumping and their size declining, I doubt HA figs will be viable for most wallets. A nice thought, but ultimately flawed logic... (flogic?)

And a Leader-class TFP Megatron would be good solely because of scale... I don't see him getting much more detailed than the Voyager.

yeah, I'd prefer this better, but HA figures of the TFP humans would be pretty cool. Maybe some big seasonal gift sets, with the 3 kids and their partners, maybe vs a Vehicon (at least for Arcee, who'd be way too small to work in the same size box, she'd need some extra's packed in. MECH soldiers, or even Fowler could be packed with 'Cons. Story logic doesn't always equate to toy-packaging logic, and honestly, every vehicle Fowler looks at gets scanned for a Con's alt mode, so it'd be fudge-able, packaging bio-wise.
For a Generations HA line, I could really get with some Headmaster/Targetmaster homages, as well as a new Hot Rod mold with Daniel, etc. I liked the HA deluxes from DOTM so even something like this would be cool. Honestly, the Deluxe cars from Generations are a lot closer to the size of real cars compared to the HA human figures, it'd just be an incredible pain to engineer toys that size that'd properly fit 2.5 inch tall people in them and still transform into robots.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I don't see that as a problem, as human characters have been known to get cross-continuity figures too. For instance, a couple of the RiD chicks were pack-ins within the BT Asterisk line. I doubt it would be out of the question to see TFP versions of Spike, Sari, Kicker, Sam, etc.craggy wrote:yeah, I'd prefer this better, but HA figures of the TFP humans would be pretty cool. That would be sexy.craggy wrote:For a Generations HA line, I could really get with some Headmaster/Targetmaster homages, as well as a new Hot Rod mold with Daniel, etc. I liked the HA deluxes from DOTM so even something like this would be cool. I could argue all day about how pointless it is to look for TF figures in "proper scale", so let me be clear when I state that in collecting the mass of plastic Transforming action figures, scale is pretty much bottom tier.
Even so I prefer collecting figures from a given line not exceeding the Voyager class size anyway. Ultras on up tend to be overly gimmick-ified and waste a great deal of shelf space for what little ya get out of them.

How could you argue with it? It's purely personal preference. Scale is bottom tier for you, but it's an important aspect of Transformers to me. Opinions will vary from person to person, so it'll be like arguing who's opinion is better.Shadowstream wrote:I could argue all day about how pointless it is to look for TF figures in "proper scale", so let me be clear when I state that in collecting the mass of plastic Transforming action figures, scale is pretty much bottom tier.
Also, HAs tend to be more or less in scale with each other anyway. Tell me one good reason they'd release a non-basic HA-sized bike Arcee with a human that's the size of other HA humans.
And besides, I was explaining why a larger-scale Megatron wouldn't be a logical option, not professing that it would need to be made just to be in scale.

Assuming you want a HA Arcee in scale with and HA Bumblebee or Cliffjumper, ultimately she would have to sacrifice the size of one mode for the other, thus making her either a small robot or a giant bike. Even ignoring that, what happens when you want to tackle properly scaled Decepticons? Supreme class Starscreams and Dreadwings towering over ultra Breakdown and voyager Knockout? Bank accounts would implode!
That's why I consider it pointless; the scale of one mode against the other, especially in the realms of robots and vehicles whom vary massively in size, either from one mode to the next or between each other, provides a rather awkward collecting method.

You'll eat those words when they release a HA-scale Unicron.Shadowstream wrote:I'm not saying that your opinion of the value of scale is a bad one, I just tend to believe that with the number of discrepancies the scale of Transformers provides, that value in such things tends to a... difficult goal to pursue.
