I saw it last night in 3D and DBox, where the seats moved in sync with the movie, almost like a rollercoaster. It made the ticket more expensive but surprisingly worked well for all the action sequences.

I'm not a fan of the first Tron but I really dug this movie. And the Daft Punk music is awesome.

Though as much as I love Jeff Bridges performances in the movie, Bridges younger self does not look convincing as I thought it would. His head the entire time is very clear that it's CGI. At least it "works" for Clu. It's not as great as the effects in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which looks flawless.

Yeah, for the first half of the movie it was bugging me that you could clearly tell it was CGI, but then I started to think it was cool, because CLU isn't human.

Hey, Blurrz, I dig that new avatar. Code Geass is one of the very few anime series I REALLY like. I wish they'd put it back on Cartoon Network...

The ending was predictable. The CGI was excellent though. it's safe to say a third film may yet be made.

Just saw it and just had a thought. In the grid, Sam bled during the arena battle, even though he was digitized. Does that mean Programs would drop blocks if hurt in the real world? :-?

Anyway, movie wasn't too bad, actually. Doesn't quite scream "blockbuster" but it was fun. Plus it gets the additional bonus of being the first movie I've seen in the theaters in 3d (usually too cheap to bother).

I wouldn't be surprised if GEEWUN and I were the only ones in the theater to pick up on every little referance to the original... Anyway, I thought it was a great movie, but the end was a little disappointing... I can't help but wonder if Jeff Bridges wiped out Tron too when he exploded. :lol:

Nope..... Tron's going to be one of the feature characters in the upcoming Animated series. Plus he was completely away from the explosion after he fell into the 'ocean'.

Explosions PLUS Harrison Ford. Those two reasons alone make me want to see it.

I saw T:L this weekend, in 2-D and enjoyed it alot. I've forgotten 95% of the original. The last time I saw it was at a friend house circa 93/94 and had some 10th Anniversay VHS edition.

I felt they did a good job of just making this movie as if no one had ever seen the original. Almost as if they created the backstory from scratch. I'm sure this would've been a good movie to see in 3-D but since I wasn't paying I couldn't complain.

Oh, and count me among those who think Cowboys & Aliens is going to be a surprise hit of next summer!!

I saw the movie last night and I had all the trailers except DoTM (Pirates, Green Hornet, Cowboys) and we also had Green Lantern as well.

Anyboby else think that Michael Sheen (Castor/Zeus) was trying a little too hard with his Jack Sparrow impersonation. Johnny Depp, he isn't.

Personally I thought TRON legacy was better than the first TRON... though I feel due to time periods its not fair to compare them.... Its like comparing a commodore 64 to a power PC. Both were groundb-breakers of their eras....

Didn't really catch that he was like Sparrow, but annoying as hell he was.

I'm talking about the TRON Legacy one that cost 99 cents that was sorta 3d-ish....

The free one still is pretty fun too though.
