BTW if anyone has any tips to transport Gen 1 figures in original boxes without the flap being dinged - please could you let me know?

Or do I get Dark Scorponok?

Curses.
If you get Scorponok, take the batteries out before you remove the tab. The thing is bloody annoying until the battery runs out.
Looks great, though.

He's cool,
Alt. mode is a bit reluctant to stay together but other than that all is good.
Laserbeak's great too

Confounded! I didn't even know he had batteries. What does he do?

Makes noises any time you so much as touch the tail, if they're all like mine. Has a couple of sound effects, one of which is triggered by moving the tail, but is rather sensitive and gets annoying when it goes off 3 or 4 times while you try to transform it.

Are any of them the transforming noise, or are they all from the cartoon?

Think they're random sound effects. Thankfully the battery on mine didn't last long and it is now blissfully silent.

Seriously you'd be better off looking for a good condition origonal then the takara reissues as they would cost less. I don't think a MIB origonal would be too different in price from some of those reissues now.

Cheers Doug,
I just need to find them now! Personally I'm after them both for the Laserbeak figure. I think he looks great!

I have em both and the Takara Soundwave is superior to Hasbros. Soundblaster looks great too. They look great flanking Cyb Unicron with Sideways and Mass Production Noize Maze.

Why is the Takara version superior?
