A new Entertainer just opened in Stockport and they had HFTD Deluxe Half price at £6.50 each. Sadly there were no Generations.

Drift however, regardless of anyone's thoughts on the character itself, is a flippin' amazing toy! It looks cool, it has nice weapon gimmicks and it might be one of the most posable TFs I have ever had! He's currently standing on my stereo in the Ninja Run pose from City of Heroes, with his sword at his back. Bad-Ass!
isn't he just!!! i love the dude
so pose able and has the best weapons evaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!

TRU in Birstall Leeds has Masterpiece Grimlock £60 as well as PCC 2 packs. Gutted I couldn't afford Grimmy this month but my wife cheered me up when she came back from our local tescos with HFTD Hailstorm! God love our wonderful wives, who else would put up with our addiction! She even told me they had Tuner skids, sidearm sideswipe and elita 1 at tesco as well.
And she isn't even a TF fan!

I had a bit of a haul, so to speak. Legends Tracker Hound (sad looking bugger no?), Long Haul and Sandstorm (awesome, better than Beachcomber). PCC Leadfoot (Classics Slapdash to me), Roffle Hubcap (near perfection) and Drift. Ah, Drift; not great shakes really is he? I await slaggings off......

Drift is a great toy. A great design. I like that they didn't alter an existing character's persona to fit with the design. I read AHM and the Spotlight, but haven't been reading the Drift mini, so won't comment fully on the character as presented in media.

I don't know dick about Drift's character, it was an impulse buy 'cause I thought it looked cool. It's annoying at best, what a thrown together jumble of old cack.

Gah! Still can't find Drift. Spent a small fortune on Chugginton toys for my nephew just so that I had an excuse for the numerous trip to my local TRU. On the plus side I got a Thrust.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
I think Royal Mail tried to deliver my Challenge At Cybertron set today. It's the only thing I can think of that I'd be sent recorded delivery. Of course, I was out, so now I have to wait 24hours at least to collect it, and I'm working late tomorrow! Arg!
Kapow still have my order as "pending", which I'd assumed meant that it hadn't been sent yet...does anyone who orders from them regularly know if pending on their order status just means it hasn't been delivered yet?

I'll take it as it comes. Urgh.
Drift's growing on me already(!), all I had to do was swing those door/scabbard things to the back and he started looking cooler straight away. I'm planning a big protest outside Hasbro for all those interested, let's get arrested, PM for address! I'm in the last but one residential street before Hasbro, half a mile at most, meet at my place, fight!

i think its happened to me before too, so if your not expecting anything else, my powers of deduction say its probably that

I'm a Chicago Bears fan, does that count?
As for black repaints I think Hubcap wins that one.
And really, wouldn't it be fun to get us all together? I could fry up a spot of lunch and then we'll march on the scumbags. We'd all get new friends and to be honest, getting arrested isn't all that bad; I've done it twice and there's no hard feelings.

Lovely. Would we be at "mr o's diner" then?
Speaking of such, my copy of last stand of the wreckers came the other day. Read it cover to cover straight away even though I already had the comics.
I think the cop car outside the diner at the end could be IDW barricade... Thoughts anyone, as it is explicitly stated in the extras that "it isn't prowl or streetwise.."

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
woo hoo! Challenge at Cybertron 3-pack is now mine!
It's a bit of a mixed bag.
Silly hand-attacher-man in the factory gave Cyclonus 2 right hands for starters. Otherwise, that's a brilliant figure, best of the set without hesitation. Looks great in both modes, colours are nice (despite paint apps being a bit simple) and he's pretty posable. I had to stab him to get his jet nose out, but it's all good now. Nightstick's pretty decent for what he is too.
Galvatron...I thought folks were exaggerating with all the bad press he's got. It might be more likely that they've been sugar-coating. In the box, his left leg had detached. Fair enough, these things happen. Got him out of his plastic prison, and he's transformed like a publicity image in an Argos catalogue. I eventually managed to figure out his robot mode. He's looser than <insert promiscuous celebrity lady here>. Took a long time, trying to follow the instructions to turn him into his tank mode. Halfway through kinda figured out what they were trying to tell me, and tried to get everything lined up and connecting in place. Tried again. Almost got it. Tried one last time. Gave up. Put him back into robot mode, and found a decent-ish pose for him. He'll be staying like that til mobid curiosity gets the better of me.
Hot Rod aka the reason I bought this set, looks all nice in robot mode. Flames are very well camouflaged with his orange chest though.
The head does look better in person than in pictures though, so win some, lose some. Joints are pretty tight, but not too tight. Transformation was fairly easy to figure out...certainly the easiest of the 3, but I didn't mind that. Vehicle mode is not bad either. Looking at it, yes, transparent blue windscreen would have made it all much better, and not just because my one had an elastic band tied around him that pushed the spoiler into the blue paint and has left him with a little smear on his screen...I'll just say that's Daniel though. Really, this guy's going to go in the Protector armour anyway, and MP is my true G1 Hot Rod, so it's ok for what it is.
I'd say in closing, that if you've got any of these molds already, it's probably more worth tracking down a single release of one of the others if you're interested. It was 3 new TFs for the price of 2 for me though (and I'm not surprised Galvatron's getting given away free
) and I can't overly complain at the set. Maybe Galvy and Hot Rod's heads are a bit tiny compared to Drift and Ironhide who I bought at the weekend, but I'll probably be displaying them separately anyway, if at all, so it's no big deal. If, like me you're after a version of the Classics Rodmius mold for any reason, this one'll do, but if you like any of the other versions better colour-wise, and don't want Cyclonus or Galvatron, then keep your money for a Henkei, Classics or...whatever Hot Rod.

thanks for the review, really tempted i got hot rod on the way to me thanks to CC (he will prtray hotrod while henkei hotrod will go into protector when i get him eventually), but i really like the cyclonus over my henkei, while galvatron is a better repaint of the original hasbro version, even though he was a crappy mold from the start
quite torn .......................hmmmmm
do you happen to have pics? i've seen the seibs gallery but i prefer more personal pics, with other figs, tis ok if u don't man
Galvatrons being given away free? where
i ordered some comics off ebay the botcon 2009 comic, spotlight cyclonus and the ironhide 1-4 set
ooohhh got my package from tfsource today, got my bruticus upgrades they are fantastic, i'm pretty lucky to have them, and i also got the shadow roller set, he's flimsy but a nice figure (reli wish he was a bit stiffer)

thanks for the review, really tempted i got hot rod on the way to me thanks to CC (he will prtray hotrod while henkei hotrod will go into protector when i get him eventually), but i really like the cyclonus over my henkei, while galvatron is a better repaint of the original hasbro version, even though he was a crappy mold from the start
quite torn .......................hmmmmm
do you happen to have pics? i've seen the seibs gallery but i prefer more personal pics, with other figs, tis ok if u don't man
Galvatrons being given away free? where
i ordered some comics off ebay the botcon 2009 comic, spotlight cyclonus and the ironhide 1-4 set
ooohhh got my package from tfsource today, got my bruticus upgrades they are fantastic, i'm pretty lucky to have them, and i also got the shadow roller set, he's flimsy but a nice figure (reli wish he was a bit stiffer)
you're welcome for the review, when I said Galvatron's free, it's more like, the price of the set was equivalent to a couple of Deluxes, so I pretend that I didn't really pay for Galvatron, to save me some imaginary humiliation. That said, yes, the paint scheme is a bit nicer than the original Hasbro one. I think the same with Cyclonus. Hot Rod is just a bit different. I actually prefer that the flame decal is only on the bonnet, as opposed to the front/side panels as well, but if you didn't know he was meant to have flames, it'd probably be a few weeks before you realised there were 2 different colours on that part.
I've no pics. Might get some up eventually, since I'm building a bit of a half-decent collection here.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
