I bought myself the DW mag with Kreon Prime (so cute and awesome), Cyberverse Ark (for £12 in John Lewis (rrp, not sale!)), DOTM bee and ratchet, and a cool lego POTC set (the small battle pack one) and all for under £50! Christmas has come early for me, but now i have to buy a cyberverse collection on top of leader sentinel and deluxe wj and sw! My wallet's gonna hurt...

Sorry, dont know how to use what people have said before in a reply. Im a forum newbie. But anyway, yeah the London Expo! Went to the very first one years ago, and havent been in ages. I havent even looked at whats going to be there this year or anything, but just thought as im not doing anything at the moment why not. Dont think its sold out, but am still undecided yet. Though maybe I should just save it all for Auto Assembly next year to get a massive haul of stuff. You should definately go
ODB = Official Disgruntled Brits?? As for a meet up of people here, so far only about 6 different people have posted. How many Brits are there actually members on this forum? I think we need more. And thus far im not disgruntled
Just had a look at your buy AP
As for Dinobots Va'al (hope youre feeling better), its all about the G1 dinos for me, and Grimlock being my favourite. He has been since I watched transformers as a kid. Though I do quite like the G2 Grimlock being blue! I really want a MP Grimlock, so amazing! Just get one
Nova, would never have looked in John Lewis for Transformers, seems like a pretty good deal getting the Cyberverse Ark for £12! Im gonna have to look there tomorrow, you never know. Last month I found the Power Core combiner 5-packs in Tescon for £5!! If you really want a Leader Class Sentinel, Id like one to, we could do the buy 2 get 3rd free from TRU? Theyre at £35 each at the moment, so would be £70 for 3, making them only £23.33 each brand new?? Bargain at the moment I reckon. We'd just need 1 more person. If youre game I am?? Let me know what you think =D.

Just had a look at your buy AP. Very nice. I actually had that in my watch list and almost bid =D, but decided against it. I have wanted one of those for ages to! Ill take the plunge one day like yourself =). I need more space and it would help if I had a job to, lol.

Click the quote button on the top right corner to do the above, and about the deal, i'm sure AP would definately be interested ina a leader at voyager price and so would I! we'll sort it out when he decides. Also, there was only two other arks in the store when i got mine, whereas i saw about 10 last time, so they seem to be selling fast with the new price. I'm thinking of going to Auto Assembly in '12 and sharing a room with AP (he and I are good friends outside of this site), but i'm not going to expo. Also have you considered getting MP Grimlock on your own 3 for 2 deal?

I don't have the space or the finance for a Masterpiece anything, unfortunately.
I am growing quite fond of the pictures of Classics Grimlock though..
Anyone have him? Anyone warn me against him?

I understand your financial dilemma as I too am for the most part, skint. As for classics Grimlock, loose ones go for about £25 on ebay, whereas MISB ones are about £50

Unfortunately they only have MP Rodimus and hes not included. Otherwise I would have been well up for 3 for 2 on him. Thats awesome, well when you guys have decided let me know
, a bargains a bargain. Actually, I might just buy the 3 if you are definately interested, I can always sell the 3rd online if he isnt interested. And new transformers are pretty expensive if youre buying on your own. People are still buying them for £45 on ebay for some reason! Ill go check out my local John Lewis tomorrow anyway, I mean you live in a different place to me so there could be loads, some or none, and not even at the same price, but I got to check. You shoulda bought all of them and sold them on.

I would've bought more arks but i wanted the other stuff. it seems they're £12 online though so it should be the same everywhere.
Also, I won't be able to muster the money for Sentinel for some time as I have various debts to pay (teenage debts, not substantial ones) You might not get any money from me until aroung Christmas time, unless AP does all the transactions and i just pay him back at a later date. hint hint AP.

Although I don't understand the pre-order clause on the seller's page..
Has anyone here read the Transformers novels by Alex Irvine?
(Yes, yes, I'm bored, ill, and do not want to get any work done today. Bear with me.

No, I havent read any of the novels, at least I dont think I have. Ill have to look up who wrote the ones I have read. Bit of a tongue twister there kind of. Ill go look up after this. Why are you asking? You want to know if they are any good/any we can recommend?
Get well!!!! (Thunder and lighting here, yeah!!!)

@Va'al, Well done mate! In answer to you're questions, I don't particularly like classics Grimlock due to his leg transformation so I wouldn't be interested, and I want to read the E novels, but i'be only ever seen the second one (I forget which one, exiles maybe?) in stores

Exodus is the first, Exiles the recently released sequel.
Yep, here they are.
I was asking because I have real issues with the author's writing style.
I don't want to attack Irvine or anything, they just feel a bit.. meh.
(I guess a degree in English doesn't help to read 'lighter' literature.)
Currently nearly finished Exodus, I'll move on to the other after that.
Just curious to hear other readers' opinions!

Transformers: Exodus ties in with the Transformers: War for Cybertron video game and is partially adapted into IDW's War for Cybertron comic, namely chapter 12 through 15.
Despite this intended tie-in, the stories of Exodus and War for Cybertron are largely incompatible, other than sharing a MacGuffin and some set pieces. Even the name of the Prime before Optimus differs between the two (Sentinel versus Zeta), though Hasbro representatives at BotCon 2010 attempted to reconcile this by suggesting the character's full name is "Sentinel Zeta Prime".
Regardless, Hasbro had said War for Cybertron was to be the basis of its new continuity, not the beginning proper. All things considered, Exodus is an adaptation expansion.
Irvine said he had not played the game. He also said that differences between the novel and game were not due to miscommunications but, rather, resulted from deliberate choices as both products moved in slightly different directions; Hasbro was aware of and approved all of them.
(Because I wanted to answer but couldn't be bothered to type. And I also haven't played the game. Never had a gaming console in my life, and my laptop is not an option.
Yes, pedestrian is a good word.
I think what happened was that Irvine used graphic novel style for prose. And it didn't work.
I've just read the one-shot Exodus/WFC mini-comic, adaptation of chapters 12-15 of Exodus, and it works REALLY well in comic format!
And I'm not sure about Exiles and Fall of Cybertron. I think they'll be pretty different storylines.

It says Irvine hadnt played the game!! To be honest he probably should have if its going to tie in some stories with it. Ill definately have to check that out. I havent followed any of the newer stories, I have alot to catch up on. I do have the original comics, well about 40 of them. Havent read them in ages though. You are inspiring me to bust them out again
Did the WFC one come with the game then?

nope, it's evidently not one from the first release.
jelaous, jelaous, jelaous and jelaous, POTC? (pirates?). you could always sell the ark to me if you don't want a cyberverse collection.
but not ATM cos i've just blown as good as all my money(<----the main reason why london mcm expo is only a possible ATM)

went to one quite a few years back, but was young and wasn't really into anime/manga/transformers particularly...

yup. there are quite a few, bear in mind that this thread is about 1800 pages long, and i've been around for at least...*rummages about in thread*...300? jesus... so yeah there are quite a few that are still active-ish.

Righto, still learning these short hand abbreviations! Theyre always so obvious when you figure them out (or someone else puts it, thanks AP). POTC = Pirates of the Caribean! I dont have any of that in my Lego at the mo. I do quite fancy a Jack Sparrow Lego figure though, just him
AP Im assuming all your money was spent on your wonderful Primus! I wouldnt have bid that high on it anyway as my spendings at the moment have gone through the roof. And I know the feeling of being out bid is RWAR
I think MCM will be off the cards for me aswell I decided. So no MCM for any of us, yeah! Well anyone thats commented on it thus far. I think Id prefer to save the money, and I am already going to a convention in Blackpool the following weekend, and driving. So its going to be expensive
Well its been great to meet all of you thus far, I hope more people post as I have ALOT of free time at the moment, hence all the posts
On another note, bit of a long shot here and random, does anyone have any G1 starscream parts, mainly the back fins, missiles and launchers? Got the wings today and Im sitting here looking at him, and he just doesnt look right
Off to play
PS: Im eating a Muller Corner, so so good!!!
