waaaaghlord wrote:I've got my modded Classics Grimlock sat in front of me at the moment. It's a fair bit of work knocking out all the pins to switch the shoulders and neck connectors but worth it overall. Hardest part is actually getting some of the screws out, they're in bloody tight on this figure and by the time he was back together I'd gouged some of the heads. He stays this way now. Should definately have been put together that way in the first place.
any pics?

From the factory he comes with the shoulders on so that they're screw side forward in robot mode and the left and right neck braces on the wrong sides so they won't line up with the groves and lock the neck in place. It's a full tear down job since you have to swap out the connecting pieces for the shoulders to allow the top shoulder plates to reattach right way round (hence pins rather than just screws) and you need to knock out the pin from the rear neck brace to be able to get at the side ones. Only downside is that the screws now face forwards on his dino mode legs, but that's a really minor quibble for me since he's displayed in robot mode anyway. With the screws being so tight I did have to gouge the plastic around the screwholes somewhat by using a larger than ideal screwdriver to get enough purchase to get them moving.

Not yet. There's lots of stuff that I need to get around to shooting so I'll see if I can get my brother's camera back next time I see him. It's not an original mod though so you should be able to find some pictures of the results somewhere if you're desperate. I followed a tutorial on Transtopia at the time although I'm a little foggy on what the attatched images with that were like.

Out of the box Grimlock needs to be reassembled.

Sledge wrote:What ho, piratical TF-obsessed Brits. If anyone's interested, I had a pretty good day yesterday. The Entertainer have got the SWTF Millenium Falcom down to £15, and Argos finally have the Voyager Prime/Concept Bumblebee Movie double pack in, and at a fiver off the original £25 price. I really recommend the Falcon, it's so much better than the other SWTF figures, and the Han Solo voice clips even made my mother say it was worth the money.
cheers for that sledge
We don't see you much on here, hope this is something new

Toys R Us had virtually nowt. No deluxes at all, 1 Thundercracker, 2 leader Brawls and 1 leader Optimus (which curiously said Blackout was also available on the back) and many cybertron Megs.
The Range had all the deluxe classics and the movie OP/BB keyrings. My mum says there were some different ones on Friday but they had all gone. Unfortunately she doesn't know what they were so I can't tell you.
Woolworths had nothing but movie scouts (clocker etc)

Scorponok,
Command Ravage + 4 Battle Ravages,
Shadowhawk Cosmo + 4 Divebombs,
Chromehorn Forrest + 3 Insecticons,
Armada Predacon (on the grounds that my other Armada beasts are off moonlighting as Unicron's Horsemen and that his one comic appearance was supporting Scorponok),
Dinobot Magma + 2 Cruellocks,
Cruellock + 2 Doomlocks.
The lizards are split into two smaller units than the others due to there being three Energon contempory versions of the mould. I'd really like to get the set finished (finally!) and I think it'd be really cool to get some good quality pics done and get a thread going over in toys just to show off the horde.
So, anyone able to help out?

G1 Grimlock (old, battered and sans accessories)
Robot Heroes Grimlock (small bundle of bad attitude)
Classics Grimlock
Classics Dinobot minicons.
BM T-Wrecks
BM Triceradon
BM Striker
BM Airaptor
BM Skydive
BW Dinobot
BWX Dinobot
Now I think I might have to try and track down a BM Dinotron (probably easier to get than a Magmatron).

I'll have to keep my eye out for Grimlock and Cliffjumper. Last two store-bought tfs I'm really after.
And now I can't make my mind up between movie Leader Prime and Voyager.
Voyager just seems too small...

But is half the price and comes with a free 08 Bumblebee at Argos.
Though, naturally, a useless deal if you have o8 'Bee already.

If I got Voyager Prime, I'd have to go robovision anyways. Much more impressive.
But I dunno. I don't know how big voyager is compared to the rest of the movie figures. We all know how much voyager class figures can vary in size- eg Vector Prime and Evac

much smaller. Leader prime is quite simply the best prime of the current line. He is almost masterpiece quality and his transformation process is so much fun! He also looks awesome in both modes unlike voyager prime who looks rather weak in robot mode.
Just get leader Prime.

It's never useless to have an extra 08 BB. Kitbash fodder.
What are these cassettes like? I take it they are knock offs, but are they worth that price, including that shipping cost? What's the quality like and has anyone bought from that seller as he seems to have alot of these. I dont have paypal, but it would be nice ot have the info handy.
I would also like to hear reviews about Longarm from those who have him, see if he is worth it since he has been spotted in Woolies.

I think I found the right ones. With 5 or 6 Prime galleries in the movie section and myself having pretty much ignored the movie line I'm never 100%.

If they did a Rumble and Frenzy set, my bro would probably buy it though
See Sonray, that's the info I'm looking for. At times like these, I use fan reviews and advice to help decide my next purchase.

I will just keep my eyes open for cheaper alternatives. Or a Longarm. Come to think of it, I still need to get those Blitzwing stickers. I wonder if any of my friends have paypal.
