How much? Mind you FP are useless. A friend of mine had an order on there for me for days, they didnt even send him confirmation that his order was placed so he cancelled. I at least expect almost immidiate confirmation when placing an order and giving someone my money. Then once he cancelled the order, a few days later he got confirmation that the original order (which he cancelled) had JUST been placed! Frigging useless.

Probably going to be around £60-£70 like with MP Prime. Yeah, I know they're not the greatest company in the world. Especially in recent times when their inventory doesn't really encompass as much as it once did. But they do still stock a lot of stuff you can't find elsewhere in the country.

I don't think that I've ever seen much of anything in FP that Travelling Man weren't either carrying already or able to order in at short notice. I'll use them if I'm in 'boro just because it's convienient and they're all there is but if I'm out in Leeds Travelling Man or even OK Comics will get my trade in preference to FP.

On a different note I've had confirmation through from BBTS that my Galvatron kit has shipped. Back to the old question: to recast or not to recast?

If you have the means, go for it.

I'm still hoping that Walmart UK get him in. By all means they should do, so it's just a matter of patience.

If not, I'm sure some online dealer will be the way to go.

In all fairness, that's the buyers and traders fault. There are plenty of routes that can be taken to deal with it.

But I think closing Carbomya was not the answer. Not when I'm starting to get more money to buy things from it.

From now on, if you guys have summat to sell, feel free to post it in here, or in its own thread in the toys forum.

Haven't been around much lately so this may have already been posted.

Went into TRU this morning and they had a load of Leader class Brawl.

Also picked up the Robot Heroes Decepticon sneak attack pack from Asda for 7 quid.

Last year, or sometime there abouts, Anime Galvatron was in the strange little catalogue they use. I asked the man behind the desk if they could order one for me and the guy, in a very bored and unfriendly way, said they dont order anything in. You just have to go into the shop and check.

Well, I fortunatly found a solitary one sitting on the shelf a few weeks later. It was a little more than I was hoping to pay, but he was one of the original 5, and I knew I would not get another chance like that.

Comics, I always go to Travelling Man first. They are alot friendlier, even if you are just inquiring about something, and they sell the comics in little sleeves, at the same cost FP sells them loose for any grubby mitts to hold. Except for the 12 or so Graphic Novels I have got over the past few months. TM have a paperback for £15.99. FP has it for £2.99 and it's 3 for 2.

I also agree that the boards are becoming a little less fun and more serious. Like the scientific explanation of why SS leaves a fire trail behind him when he leaves the atmosphere at the end of the movie. "Because it looks cool" apparantly doesn't work for movies anymore.

As for SS, I'm sticking with my MP03. He aint toon accurate, but at least he doesnt have that horrid black marking (which I still havent fully removed from Prime) and I have grown quite fond of the darker colour scheme.

The 20th DVD Prime in classics box appeared at Argos. Perhaps this Screamer will as well, since he is also in classics style box.

Yeah the stupid idiots who need to scientifically explain everything that happens in the movie and then slam it because it doesn't meet their scientific criteria really get on my nerves.

I keep telling them "its just a **** movie!" or "its because its a movie and its meant to look cool" but they still persist. So i try to beat them at their own game sometimes and give one of my super-informed, scientific explanations which just own all of their pathetic little excuses.

I always make sure i end each one of my lectures with "see i can be pedantic and unnecessarily scientific too". :P

Yikes, talking about something doesn't make it a crime. I'm sure there are plenty of threads available for people who just want to have fun, but some people consider trying to explain something in real terms fun too. Just seems a little unfair to me.

Ah yes, I saw your explaination in the fire trail thread. No one replied to that did they? You used their own logic and obbsession with scientific explainations to answer it perfectly. Nicely done there.

And Tekka, it's the fact that they want to explain every tiny littlest detail. Now, if they want to, fine. I aint gonna do anything to stop them, nor am I gonna call them stupid idiots, but the seriousness of these boards are starting to get rediculous. There are more and more threads popping up of people wanting to explain why there was an 09 Camaro driving along the road at the specific moment in time when they are not released yet, and other really niggly little details. Some things should just be left to the imagination. But hey, if they want to discuss them, I dont have a problem. I was simply stating an observation.

Fair enough, trying to explain why that particular car was driving by at that moment is a little absurd. It may just be me though but most of the threads I post in are pretty light hearted, a tleast they are when I post in them. I haven't noticed the board being too ultra serious either, I always have plenty of fun. =/

Ah well.

About a page ago he was sighted. I'd check TRU and Argos if I were you. They normally hold pretty good leader class stock.

Well, apparently posting topics about things you wish to sell and buy is illegal. So just post em in here. Mods and such rarely ever set foot in here, and they're too lazy to read through what is essentially a building thread.

I'm getting really tired of the attitude on this site.
The noobs and their movie questions are a minor annoyance; it's more of how Ryan seems to becoming more and more a dictator.

Not once have I ever received a response to a pm from him. I can see the point of closing the philosipher's forum- that was a bad idea from the start. But closing the sales forum? That's just sheer laziness. Appoint more mods to keep close eyes on the forum to make sure things go properly, don't just nuke the damn place because you can't be bothered to put in that little extra effort.

His attitude towards HMW clans was nuke em too. OS and co saved us that little freedom.

Sorry for the rant. But because of sheer laziness, it will be much longer and pricier for me to get the transformers I want. I may well have to go join another board, just to use their sales forums.

Im not trying to start **** here but i think its funny how you mention sheer laziness on ryans part yet it sounds like you are too lazy yourself to shop for your own TF's and instead depend on a forum on a website to do it for you.

Also Ryan has a lot of other **** going on, like merging seibs with transtopia. Basic maintenance of the site must take a lot of time as well, and lets not forget running costs and keeping everything updated to deal with the stress of new users signing up every day. Then theres keeping all the latest TF news up to date, and keeping all the toy galleries up to date.

I dont think you really have any right to call him "lazy" as thats far from it. If you knew how much work goes into running a site of this size you wouldnt dare think of calling him lazy. Unless i am missing something here?

I think you are just bitter because they closed down your forum and you are taking it out on the entire site which is rather pathetic. He closed down the carbombya because of scammers and idiot buyers, nothing else. People were abusing the privilege. You have to remember that using this site is at the end of the day just a privilege, not a right and its owner can technically do whatever he wants with it. He doesn't want the site getting caught up in some legal suit because some idiot got ripped off or some scammer did something they shouldn't. You want the whole site to be shut down?

I'd be more than happy to go out there and get these transformers from shops, online or not. It's the availability that stops me dead. Most of these tfs I'm after have never seen the light of day here, or I didn't have the finance to buy at the time.
I woulda bought it online at the time they were out, but up until January of this year my finance was nothing.

I can see your point matey, and I can understand the point you are making. I think the rules that were set up in the sales forum were too lax, and allowed for this to happen.

I don't particularly think the sales forum was the best thing for a fan site to have, but up until the birth of the new movie this wasn't a problem. It's just started happening recently that people are being scammed.

I just wish it could all go back the way it was a year or so ago. All the old guard were around, there was no worry of things shutting down, and members were polite and helpful (if a little forward in their posting styles :P).

Either way, I will continue to buy things from members of this site. I will buy Mirage from Maniac this week, and move on through his other sale items in the following weeks.

If Doughbot has another sale, I will enquire a list of items.
Nobody will stop me from buying what I want. Carbomya biting the bullet is just another obstacle.

And don't worry Sonray. I, unlike pretty much all of the new members, don't think you are starting ****. You're making your arguement. And you are right.

Al Murray is damn right. We are the best this poopy world has to offer. Yanks are too far up their own asses. They MUST be right; there's no arguing it.

Arrr matey, just keeping checking in every now and then. I'm sure they'll get some in when they restock. Distrubtion's terribly wacky in this country.
