Ano this sounds weird, but as a G1 TF Collector, is it worth my time looking in charity stores?

And apart from TRU, weres the best place to look for decent priced Re-issues.

One more thing i'll tell u whats gay, like half a year before the movie i brought Re-issue red alert for a tenner, but left skywarp and all that behind thinking i could come back and get them wen i got more money, then after the movie i came back to get them and they were £5 more, how gay is that!!!! :-x Still got them though lol, got plenty of money so its ok, but its all a matter of principle

Went into TRU this morning and they had a load of Leader class Brawl.

Also picked up the Robot Heroes Decepticon sneak attack pack from Asda for 7 quid.

:D

Which one?
Big Asda (lower earley) or little Asda (tilehurst)?
Was in Big Asda and didn't see them :(
Got a BB/Barricade two-pack for oldest boy's Xmas tho, only a tenner too :D

Sorry about the slow reply.
It was the Lower Earley Asda. Although they aren't in the toy isle. I think it was on the end of the card isle, not too sure though.

Must be nice to have "plenty of money" :P Whats that re-issue skywarp like? Ive been considering him since i got me re-issue soundwave. I have £30 or £40 spare quids just burning a hole in my pocket, and since i cant get my hands on the MP G1 Screamer i need alternatives....hmm...maybe those swindle and shockblast alts they still have in Tesco's are worthy of my cash...Or maybe a movie megs....hmmm then i gotta pay money to buy paint to repaint the ugly bugger....

D'oh!
Steered GF away from the card aisle as it was packed, we had the kids w/ us and she'd have been down there for years while we look for a card in case someone she know's has an unscheduled birthday...

TRU putting a fiver on their reissues is bright, joyful and happy? I don't get it.

I got him a while back, there are issues with his nose cone not being molded correctly (looks aweful) and thats affected alot, if not all, the skywarp reissues. i went through my local TRU's whole stock (on shelves) before i settled with an only slightly deformed skywarp. :(

not posted much here lately because i'm busy and lazy (i'll let you work that out ) , good to see the pirate stuff still going around lol.

its like its too small for the end and its kind of bent outta shape, its not smooth like reissue starscreams nosecone. hard to describe.

here's a pic of the problem (click on the pic to make it bigger. nosecone looks worse in person)
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=4q74606

found that pic on this thread via google
http://transformers.proboards1.com/inde ... 1181586891

I always thought the original skywarp had a purple nosecone? too tired to find out right now... darn toy gallery button is way over there...

My Skywarp has the same problem. Apparently there's a fix but I don't know what it is.

Welcome to the fold matey! We hope to see ye post round these parts more and more!

That Skywarp nosecone looks explicit to me.
I'm sure he had a purple nosecone too. I'm gonna need to look at this problem in person next time I'm at TRU.

I saw him in TRU in Gants Hill/Newbury Park (on the A12), had about 1/2 a dozen

Anyhoo, feeling kinda disgruntled/undisgruntled atm:

disgruntled coz there are no retail TFs that im interested in atm, apart from Leader Prime (getting him for Xmas) and Cla. Ramjet, only seen him when i dont have the money and i cant find much else i want to buy (in a funny mood atm)...roll on Animated, i really like the look of these

Undisgruntled coz i found a way around the surf control at work, and coz its my last day today and my new job starts next monday so ive got 6 days off :D, and i ordered the US version of the movie DVD, whould be here this week :D, and the top of my monitor is looking very pretty with the anime figs on it :P

My re-issue Skywarp has that nosecone as well, nothing I can do about it now given that he's out of the package and that the packaging has been thrown away. Never mind, I love the figure and think he is awesome :D

I'm disgruntled because I'm not going to get the movie for AAGES. I don't have a multi-region DVD player and certainly don't have the money after my massive TF buying spree.

I'm undisgruntled because after 2 days, I've finally managed to transform 20th Anniverary Prime properly :p

I'm disgruntled because I'm waiting for Maniac23 to come online so that we can seal the deal over Mirage, and I'm currently awaiting the postie for my new bigger, better amplifier. The power of 45W it is!

That, and I still can't find Armorhide, wherever me ma has hidden it. Curses

That, and the death of Carbomya still makes me sad.

AND, I still really wanna know what figure me bro's got me!

Are you sure there isnt a code you can input to make it region 0, we have 2 different dvd players in my house and both have been converted via a little code input in the remote

I know this is verging on political, but what do you guys think of the Scotish first minister's calls for Scotish independence?

Personaly I think it'd be a crying shame to seperate the UK, United we stand, Divided we fall, and all that toss.

The more I've heard about it on the radio, the more I think the simple solution would be be to copy the states and turn into the United States of Britain. Then each countyr would have some control, but there'd still be one unifying government, with one military and whatnot.

It also has to be said that the Scotish first minister sounds like he lives in cloud cookoo land, but eh, what do you expect from an election prosess that didnt actully work properly.

I'm too wrapped up in my own little world to care about who rules anymore. They're all bollocks leaders anyway.

If Scotland really think they can do better flying solo, let em. Britain's been circling the plug hole for the last few years anyway.

That was terrible.

But seriously though, I know we have Scots amongst us, I would like to hear what they think about all this.

I just bought a re-issue skywarp from tru and the blackout and scorpie double pack. I got to the till expecting the 2-pack to be £29:99, since blackout is a voyager so common sense told me he'd be £20, and scorpie is a deluxe so he should be £10, yet the mother **** wanted £39.99 for it instead of £29.99 like it should be! What a bloody rip! Im still out right now but im gonna take it back in a minute and get my £40 back as scorpie aint worth £20. I want blackout but they dont have him on his own and theres other figs id much rather have for £40. I aint **** paying £20 for a bloody non-transforming, third-class side character like scorponok!

Im officially disgruntled now.

It is a ridiculous price. I'd heard that they'd been knocked down to £30 a while back, not sure if that was a temporary thing or just some stores.

Anywho, a couple of girls that I drink with have started picking up the Movie Legends but couldn't find a Prime so I grabbed one for them today (they're a couple so I can get away with getting it for both of them). My good deed for the day done, now back to some good old fashioned evil, mwa-ha-ha-ha.

You're better off having a poke around Woolworths Sonray. Tru got rid of Blackout stock when they got that two-pack.
