Alternators are most definitely not in scale with the movie figures. They're about as big as a Voyager class in robot mode, and much larger than a deluxe, so they'd look even more out of scale than Arcee and Blackout.

Also, allegedly, the Mustang figures are nightmares to transform. Wouldn't know personally (don't own either) but after Smokescreen and Windcharger I can imagine it being true.

Delightful subjects they are :P

ARGH! Numbers! *hides*

I salute you for your bravery sir

I don't feel so smart for having chosen them...

Biology is always easy, chemistry and maths require lots of practise, and physics- while it was pretty easy last year- has turned into a real bitch this year :?

Nah, they aren't that hard to transform. They are a bit stiff first time round, but it gets easier after that.

Just watch out for stress marks on the inside of the rear bumper. I've had my Wheeljack for a more than a year at this point, and one of the two slides that holds each half of the rear bumper in place has split.

I may buy a new one in the January sale, and sell my old one ebay for a bit. :-?

You would be right to imagine that. They are indeed GITS to transform. I have wheeljack...man it must have taken me the longest ever time to transform him when i first got him. Damn.

Worth all the effort though.

He really is. I spent 10 minutes in the car after buying him trying to work out how to get his arms and upper torso to transform. It fits together so snugly, it's hard to tell if it's supposed to move at all.

But it's easily one of my favourite alt molds ever. It saddens me that Wheeljack is the first of mine to suffer from age. :?

Well, Boots had a tf clock, Fenwicks had a pair of Arcee's, couple of Dreadwings, a voy Megs, a bunch of rescue ratchets and a crapola load of 08BB. So I relented and got the one and only wreckage in FP. Yeah, it was a little higher than retail, but still cheaper than the shipping costs of ePay. Must say, he's a nifty little figure. Once I've redone him in a new colourscheme, he'll look even niftier.

I should be finishing off the work for Thursday, and doing some more cwk for the 30th, but I get distracted too much. But at least you lot don't have to sit on a roof for a couple of hours at a time for your dissertations. Can't complain though, I do have custom built rotating arms to play around with.

OK I know this discussion petered out 3 ages ago but G1 Dev vs Classics/Energon Dev - G1 dev wins (e Dev is interesting but doesn't feel right) but Universe Dev rocks harder than both and I'm gutted that some git bidsniped me (40p difference in bid Damn you!) on the last one I saw on Ebay (got bidsniped on Classics Skywarp at the same time too...)

There's been some great KO Alt's appear on Ebay (Prowl, Grimlock, Wheeljack) and the Mustang pictures are hilarious in how badly mis-transformed they are. Prowl looks great though and I considering picing him up and going all Reprolabels there...

What's the Prowl KO named on there?

If I simply can't get hold of an Alt Prowl, it'd be nice to have an alternative...

So a quick spree on Robot Heroes and I find myself with a couple of versions of both Mirage and Prime

Mirage, no problem. I've already got the Classics version sat next to the clear equivalent so there's a precedent for displaying two versions of the same mould together with this character and I'd probably do the same with the Alt and BT or the original and clear KO. Plus having the 'Citanes' detail on the arms is a touch of class, no idea why the regular release didn't get that instead of just faction symbols.

It's Prime that's providing the headache. I just don't see the need for two figures that are so similar, especially given that these are going on my 'nontransformer' shelves and I can't think of anywhere that the spare would just naturally fit in. Generally I prefer the 'super metal finish' version. Brighter colours and generally a bit tidier with the paint aps. He's got the yellow detailing on the feet that the regular version doesn't and I find that this helps to break up the lower half of the figure visually. The problem is the faction symbol. The one on the repaint is that small that the detail looks blurred, the larger version on the original deco looking far more crisp.

Overall I'll probably go with the metal finish version for display. I figure that the same will apply with Megatron once I find the Magnus/Megs pack.

Here's the seller:
http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQf ... armlove086

Prowl is "military strategist prowl transformer Action Figure F01"
Far better than the listing for Grimlock
"Vehicle-man tactical rescue transformer Figure F03"

Wheeljack's not up there at the moment but he's listed as
"Vehicle-man tactical rescue transformer Figure F02" or similar

To stop this thread from sliding down the page and as I've been reorganising during decorating I thought I'd post some pics of my collection - so here it is - small but perfectly formed, just like me :-?

(Skyhammer's outer shell doesn't fit on the shelf. I had about 10 more G1's but sold them a year or so ago)

*note to self, need more Deceps.

Oh, this is supposed to be a sightings thread - no, haven't seen anything new!

Confirmation that Netto has 6" Tits and Movie deluxes (£7.99 and £6.99 respectively. My brother's bringing me Sunstorm as I type. There was a Magnus as well apparently but working to the assumption that it was the G1 version I told him to leave it. It was only after I got off the phone that I realised that G1 Magnus is in the same assortment as WW Megs so this was probably the WW version, doh! I'll make a point of checking in person towards the weekend. Movie figures apparently included Bonecrusher, so I'm guessing that it's early wave figs (not really picking up much movie related stuff).

On a side note I made a decision on my RH Prime situation. Super metal finish remains as Optimus while the regular version is getting a Nemesis repaint.

No but if they had a KO Jazz I'd have already bought it!
Gotta be careful with money for a bit as I'm currently out of work and my wife's getting to the post before me.
It doesn't help that my bots vastly outnumber my cons either so everytime i look at buying a bot I end up bookmarking/watching 4 cons. Fortunately I picked up BM Jetstorm for £2.50 recently so that'll help bolster the numbers.

Keep us up to date with the netto thing if you would.
I'll have to go find one if they stock WWI SS, Megs, Prime or Jetfire.

hmmm

I'm gonna post in the toys forum and see if I can find out the quality of the plastic for us. If they did do a Jazz, I'd definetly buy it too. Prowl, Jazz and Skids are the last 3 alts I really need to find now.

Correction on the pricing, the Tits are actually £8.99, still a decent price. Having shown my bro some pictures it is indeed the WW Magnus rather than the G1, I'll be trying to grab one before the weekend. Not sure if other branches will have different waves or not, I suppose it depends on what either Hasbro or a wholesaler had to get rid of.

Well thats my Christmas sorted, anything else i get is just a super extra bonus!

The guy at Neon Martian (which i HIGHLY RECOMMEND you all use) had one MP Megatron left with a slightly damaged box, he is letting me have it at a discounted price due to the damage to the box (basically a small crease on one corner) but my mum is buying it for me for Christmas so i wont be able to pla...i mean err....admire ;) him until x mas day.

Oh man this is gonna be awesome!

So yeah, if you need some rare TF's use Neon Martian i highly recommend them as they are very friendly and very helpful (i promised the guy id tell all my friends hehe).

Thanks to whoever it was on here who recommended me to them in the first place! I owe you and my mum a kiss. lol

Congrats Sonray. I hope he finds you safely.

£8.99 is still a pretty good bargain for titaniums.
I only plan on getting one version of the seeker mold, so it's SS all the way for me.

When I was a wee one, at the advent of Armada, I sneaked into my mother's room when she was downstairs, looked in all the bags to find Jetfire, and opened him up!
