Best and most intelligent post of the week there jazzrules - at least as far as I'm concerned.

I figure it should be worth mentioning that Sainsburys currently have half price on all toys, since they sometimes stock transformers. Think the offer is running until about the 28th.

It's a pity the one near me only has ones that I've already got.

Yes, I just saw the new Sainsbury ad on TV. After seeing him displayed clearly in the center of all the toys my first thought was: It would appear Barricade has replaced Jamie Oliver as their spokesperson. :P

Now that, would be cool!
Agh! Why does everywhere have to sell cheap TFs when I have no money!
On the bright side though, I get to go to Southampton at the weekend, hoping to pick up TF sourcebook 2 and some more Marvel US TF graphic novels from FP, so I guess its not all bad

AA bookings are now open.

http://www.infinitefrontiers.0catch.com ... okings.htm

Unfortunately I won't be booking until into the new year myself due to tight funds at the momment, so I may be missing out on some of the more limited goodie bag items. Remember kids, the earlier you book the more freebies you get :-P

I want but can't justify it until I sort out storage (well my wife says stored away, I say stored on display!) space, get a job and sadly, get the house fixed up.

Besides my cons are already outnumbered.

That's in line with the projected 10% increases across the board in the toy market that were reported the other month. This will be effecting everywhere before long. The disgruntlement should come not from the fact that we're paying 10% more than before but that we're paying 100% more than the yanks.

As an aside are you familiar with the Hobgoblinn in Loughborough? Excellent little watering hole.

just wondering what people's opinions of G1 Tit Magnus is?

I keep seeing him in Wilkos and he looks very cool, both in bot and alt mode, but i want to know if there are any major probs with him...

The alt mode doesn't go together very well, the arms come off the ball joints at the shoulders easily, you need to take apart and swap the thighs to get the knees to bend backwards rather than forwards and due to what looks like a last minute change (the shoulders are on the other way around in the instruction illustrations) the missile launchers go on upside down (easy fix as the shoulders and elbows are on ball joints).

So he has his share of problems but I still reckon that it's a great little mould and with Magnus rumoured for Animated rather than Universe about the only posable G1 Magnus that we're likely to see for a while. Hope I havn't put you off too much.

Sadly I will have to pass up on AA this year. Funds are relatively bleak from the outset, and this will not improve over the coming months.

I'm already paying £125 for my download ticket, and then another £42.50 for a ticket to see Foo Fighters at Wembley.

So, that's more money than I spend on tfs in year (of my own money that is) :P

Just as well I get £200 off of grandparents on me 18th. Means I can still afford to complete my alt collection and buy some more Wii stuff. :-?

Lew Stringer at AA? Goddamn, I might have to find a way to attend now. Combat Colin was the best part of the old Marvel comics.

Play.com also have him for a tenner, plus Ramjet & Hotrod at the same price.

I just picked up Magnus the other day and he is a right bugger to transform! I just leave him in robot mode and hope that his arm doesn't fall out. I'm going to try and get a G1 version as well to go with him so people can see what Magnus looks like when he arm isn't missing

On TF buying front, nothing much apart from watching a few ebay auctions. Saw that some guy was selling Astrotrain but listed it as Blitzwing and being the kind person that I am, told him so. Got a very nice reply back which made me happy :)

Those are some good prices you got there Tekka. I've just got Astrotrain and a couple of sets of Constructicons to acquire and I am done with Classics until the new stuff hits next year, it's good to hear that they're still showing up for relatively cheap. I just spotted the two pack version of Voyager Prime and Voyager Megatron (not the deluxe 2 pack) on ebay with a BiN of £199.99 the other day. Just about gave me a heart attack with regards to the price of Classics.
