In short, parent's evening went swell.
I gots some pills to help me concentrate and oil me joints up some.

The actual post was a lot more articulate. But **** if I'm about to retype all that.

Good to hear MB. Although the bit about the post goin' not so good to hear. So that's what those pills are for is it? :P

But really, I have 3 months of cod liver oil + core vitamins to grease the joints, and 3 months of all vitamins and minerals needed for perfect function.

Basically, I want lotsa zinc and pottasium, as they improve you memory- or more precisely, your ability to pull things from it. Get those synapses firing on all cylinders!

It's in build up towards my exams. That, and I'm doing 3 papers per subject a week.

Today and tomorrow I'm getting all the specifications for my current modules, and outlining what I need help with.

They have brought the prices down on the two packs, the blackout one is £29.99 which makes sense now, i didnt look at the price for the BB one.

Is that the new permanent price then or will it just be a pre-xmas offer? I've seen the BB/Longarm one advertised in the paper at £14.99.

That's good to know - it made me so mad when I saw them charging an extra tenner for the box.

Sounds like you've got a good plan there MB - when I was in my A2 year I hardly did any revision and I think my results probably did suffer for it - but that didn't matter to me as I only needed 220 points for uni.

It amuses me - but they aren't the only ones. When I was on holiday a couple of years ago in Torquay we went to see Men in Black 2 and there was a group of French students who cheered and wouldn't shut up. I can't understand the point in it really but if that's what they want to do then its fine be me (unless they're sat in the same showing as me)

Americans are always over the top, but when i went to see the TF movie at an advanced 12am screening everyone cheered and applauded at the end...mind you they was all mostly tf fans so that makes sense.

The difference is those were French, and probably drunk on whatever the hell it is those bunch of snooty barstewards drink :P

Just gots me a fat leather strap for me guitar, and a 10ft cable too. Just the switch pedal to go, and I'm 80% ready for christmas.

School was reasonable. I looked again at my uni choices and realised they were utter crap.

I had put Nottingham, Manchester and Durham.
They all want at least 2 A!

So I dumped those and added one, so now I have Birmingham, Liverpool and Cardiff.

Have to decide on two other universities, and then send the damn thing monday. That, and a little bit o biology coursework- that's all the official work I have this weekend.

So I'm gonna finish learning Knocking on Heaven's door tomorrow. Solo and all I think.

Phew! Thank god for it not being GIS as I have that next semester. Yeah, GIS is kind of a specialist thing. I keep having to explain what it is to people. What's your degree in then? (I know you said surveying earlier but that can't be the title of your course can it?)

The overall course is called Geomatics, which is split into SMS and GIS. My degree course itself is Surveying Mapping Science. Bsc. You have GIS next semester eh? I had to do a module in it the last two years. I take it you are a joint honours student if you only do GIS in one semester. Which Uni do you go to? It's Newcastle here.

Your course sounds quite difficult  I'm actually a single honours Physical and Environmental Geography student in Bradford. I'm lucky that I've had the option to do GIS - its a new 2nd year module this year and they thought they'd offer it to us final year people as well. I've got some friends at Newcastle although its quite a big uni so I wouldn't expect you to know them.

It's not too bad if you don't mind the maths and the standing outside for hours on end. I don't think Geography students can do any of our courses unless they're joint though. And I'm glad you don't expect me to know your friends, since every day, I see people I've never seen before wondering around. :P

When me and my friends went to see the movie, they let out a little quiet cheer when Prime spoke for the first time, and when the original transform was heard, and headbanging when the car chase started, and other assorted things, but we never did full on applauding. We did, however, wish our cars could transform as we walked through the car park afterwards. And kept talking about teh sheer brilliantness of it for the rest of the day.

It isn't just cinemas where Americans cheer like that. When a plane full of them lands, they all do the same as the brakes come on. Understandable the first time, since it was really difficult conditions (even we joined in), but the other way was optimum landing conditions and they still erupted in applause.

So I've literally just got back in from a night of trailing the shops. Picked up an Alt Swindle in Tesco (wow he is cool) and in TRU noticed that robot heroes movie characters are out which I haven't seen mentioned before.

Movie Heroes? What the hell happened to the second wave of G1? #shakes fist at Hasblo#

On unrelated news my mate Bob has started a long distance thing with one of her WoW crew. All well and good, she seems happier than I've seen her in a while, but by the end of the last night she was flirting with me outragiously. That's my job. Now my damn morals prevent me capitalising #shakes fist at self# Why am I such a nice guy? I honestly can't think of all that many occaisions where being a total bastard wouldn't have stood me in far better stead.

What you got your eye on?

I think the movie line surprised a lot of us. I thought they'd suffer from weak joints and be quite fragile, but for the most part they seem to be holding out just dandy.
