Who wouldn't? The only reason I might get some Real Gear is if their prices get slashed and they become cheap fodder for my grand kitbash project

Anyone else got snow and sleet today? It was so bad around Durham, my driving instructer cancelled my lesson an hour in. And the one after me cancelled outright as he deemed it 'too dangerous'. Shame, as I love driving.

Perhaps I should have a think if there's any tf's I'm after in the january sales. :-?

Why wait 'til January - Tesco has 25% off toys (not sure whether its all toys) but I've got Alts Swindle and Shockwave for £11.25 each this weekend. Already opened Swindle and love him. In a pickle as to whether I should open Shockwave before Christmas or allow my parents to give me him for it instead (just incase they can't get me any of the ones I really want)

We got some sleet Insurgent but it was nowhere near as bad as yours.

It was just really windy by me. Made putting lights up on the roof rather dangerous :P

25% ain't bad, but I intend to milk it. If I can get as much as 50% off- which does sometimes happen (eg I got PM Prime for £15 two years ago)- I'll be very chuffed.

No tf's at my tesco are reduced, not that they have anything worth buying if they were. Alts are still at £14.99, not that they have any i want anymore. I was gonna buy an alt shockwave the other day, he had been sitting on the shelf of my local tescos for months and i never got him, so what happens the day i went to buy him? No stock left....typical. Thats why i went to TRU and got Voyager Megatron instead.

I hear you on the windy thing. I live on a very busy main road in the middle of town and right now it's all taped off by Police. We live in a very old but sturdy listed building with a college at the end of the block. A college which has been left to rot, now the wind is finishing the demolition job. As for the discount thing I just had to mention that exactly two years ago I got Energon Omega Supreme bnib for apx £11.50, discount or what? By the way MB, go for Cardiff Uni. You can teach me how to play guitar as you seem to be making far better progress than my sorry arse ever did :P .

Ah, that's the beauty of the offer. None of the shelf tags say they have money off. Its not until you get to the till that you find out there's money off it.

lol You make a sound argument.

How about this for a bargain? Two years ago I bought Omega Supreme MISB from an ASDA in Brum for £5! At christmas! 8)

I put my acheivement down to hard work, perseverance and being pushed by two other guitarists.

The wanted me to learn Sweet Child O Mine in May. Two months after I first picked up a guitar.

Showed them. Had it learnt by June :P

Mine was from Poundstretcher :o . Reduced to £15 but by some crazy fluke on 25% off your total bill day. As for hard work etc. I wish I'd put more into my leisure than my actual work. Never mind, I've supported a couple of first generation punk bands at their Cardiff gigs. Not playing though, 'singing' .

Trouble is, there aint any I'm seriously after. I have them all (except for casetticons and armada Unicron, but we have to keep something on our wants list). What's voyager Megatron like? Seeing him in the plastic, he does tickle my fancy, but certainly not for full price. And he would need to turn silver.

You should keep Alt Shockwave for Christmas. He's worth it. Unless you have a mazda mould, then you'll know what I mean. But Shockwave has the unique head sculpt, and that alone is worth the wait. The only tf with light piping who actually used that gimmick in the show. You can have him 'lip syncing' to stuff. Hours of fun.

Perhaps I get too easily amused at times. :???:

I think I know why now. I was just poking around teh intraweb for alts, and found that most US sites don't even have NW yet. Unless it is officially released here first (which I wouldn't know about), it hasn't even reached US retail yet.

Considering what I just said, Argos are basically offering what they can't possibly have yet. Which means they put it in as a place holder, making me think that, going by what I have already said, in will be released in early 08.

You utter barsteward SC :P
30 W is the best I can afford atm, and a big upgrade for me.

Rest assured, in a year or two I intend to own several stacks, just to see if I can deafen myself playing in the middle of them.
