Yep, Bulkhead wins the 'Tiniest Voyager Figure Ever' award.

My second favourite from the animated line so far though.

About half an hour or so depending on traffic. It's the closest I have to a local TRU.

Spotted a Titanium War Within Skywarp on eBay. Seller promises shipping within 30 days... even though Comic-con doesn't happen for 54 days.

I was considering jumping on it but I think I'll wait 'til we're a little closer to the time.

Yeah, I wouldn't jump on that.

Either he's nicked one, he'll send an email that he'll send it in 55 days(ish), or he'll take the money and run.

Any of those are possible.

Looks nice.

I'm not concerned he'll run, but I would rather be covered by buyer protection.

I prefer to get one with prequoted shipping however as I do not like getting raped by sellers who markup their shipping way too high.

Aye, shipping tends to be where I get a headache.

Having said that, the worst I've payed for shipping is £7, so...

There'll be more on around convention time, so you should be able to get a better price too?

I really like my Costco set. The yellow Roll Out is a neat little addition to the Minicon horde. Helps that I only parted with £30 when Toyworld had it out at UK retail. Gotta love those US overstock buy ins.

I call shenanigans on that. BBTS doesn't get Grimmy for another month (?), so why would a retail store.

We're still better. Cos we're tea drinkers.*
Tea-drinking not actually required

All the info that I'm getting from BBTS says that their Lugnuts and Grimlocks should be with them next Friday, so with me a couple of weeks after that and (in Grimlock's case at least) with DARKAGEIS shortly thereafter. It's quite conceivable that a major customer like Walmart would have had their shipment ahead of BBTS. They'll likely have them in their warehouses and probably in the stock rooms of many of their stores by now, it's just that most will not be put out as salable stock before the 'official' June 22nd street date. There's usually a few that slip through just because the underpaid floor staff of the big American chains really don't care.

Besides, Hasbro have been that slow in getting the Animated line out at all while they mucked about with the under performing Allspark Power that it's just good to see the damned things finally arriving. Plus any bricks and mortar sightings just validate BBTS's latest update. I was worrying a little that it had been a miscommunication on Hasbro's part, but I'll take this as (sort of) confirmation that their estimated shipping date is right.

Well, TRU and now Hamleys have wave 1 in stock but so far none of the online retailers I use (all two of them) have stock. If they did I'd have Prowl in my hands now.

And I won't pay Hamley's prices.

It's a bit odd that people are only reporting finding some of the wave 1 deluxes. The case assortments are supposed to break down as:

Wave 1

2x Cyb Prime
2x Prowl
2x Lockdown
2x Bumblebee

Wave 2

1x Cyb Prime
1x Prowl
1x Lockdown
1x Bumblebee
2x Ratchet
2x Black Arachnia

Of course it wouldn't be the first time that Hasbro have given the European cases a different (and more annoying) ratio than the US cases, and Prowl was always going to be a popular figure, so between kids and scalpers it may just be that they're getting cherry picked fast.

I think I'm going to get 2 of those wave 2 cases from BBTS, I really can't be bothered chasing this line like a mad thing. Anyone wants any of these give me a shout, It'll likely be early July before I have them in hand though, so wave 2 might be filtering through to UK retail by then.

Not really. The total value will be below £150 so import duty doesn't apply. It's 50/50 whether I'll get stung for VAT, some shipments from BBTS do, some get through. Even if I'm landed with the VAT I'll be selling on enough, either to you guys at a discount on UK retail or through ebay with a relatively low start price that should secure UK retail or a little over that I'll still be getting what I want for myself out of the cases at a saving even given a worst case scenario. Best case my toys will be almost free. I've been doing the math and keeping shipments cheap enough to avoid the import duty I can't see a way to turn it to actual monetary profit, plus the cost/benefit only works out on the main line figures, which I wouldn't be grabbing off shelves, not more hard to come by items that have already seen a mark up before they get to me. I've looked hard at this the past week or so, and I can't seem to see a way in which it's scalping, just constructive buying.

The main point for me is that now that I'll be working right through the summer I'm going to have the capital to put down for the initial outlays on case quantities. As some cash comes back in off those it'll either go towards covering some of my more outlandishly expensive preorders (and my preorder page at BBTS is looking quite scary at the moment) or back to my bank account to help cover me through the winter months when I'm not in my primary horticultural job.

Basicly I'm looking at it largely as a service, with some fringe benefits for me. Plus, like I said before I really can't be bothered chasing this line around at retail. I've done that with previous lines and it gets really frustrating, especially in the later waves when you never know what's actually going to make it to UK stores. Preordering just makes sense, and preordering enough to go around even more so.
