So - what upcoming Universe figures are people planning to get the henkei version of instead?

For me it's probably: Ironhide,Hound and Cyclonus (assuming they do those two.
I'll probably get the regular Silverbolt, Sideswipe and Ratchet (as long as ratchet isn't covered by allspark blue)

Hey MB - don't suppose they had any Grimlocks did they?

I'm waiting to see whether Hasbro announce a Ratchet before ordering a Henkei one, but I've yet to make my mind up about Ironhide - I need to see some side by side pictures. Other than that, I'll probably just stick to Hasbro releases.

However, after seeing the rather lackluster Cyclonus, I'm leaning towards a potential Henkei one. It all depends on whether he comes in purple or purple/blue as I want him to be a similar shade to Hasbro's Galvatron.

Only Henkei I'm really bothered about is Sunstreaker. Megatron at a push, but the mold itself isn't fantastic enough to make it a must have.

Wow, Henkei Skywarp looks so good in robot mode. He makes the original Hasbro Skywarp look like a piece of pink ****. If the chrome weren't there he'd be perfect!

As I feared, Animated Skywarp suffers from the same purple -> pink problem as Classics Skywarp, won't be a problem as long as he stays in the display case away from the sunlight. The only saving grace is that it's a nicer shade of purpley pink than on Classics Skywarp.

When my second Ani Skywarp arrives I'll do the foot and knee swap to see how he looks with a bit of black on his grey body.

I wish mate. Just a tonne of Oil Slicks, three Slags and a Soundwave =(

I shall be ordering henkei ratchet, Powerglide and silverbolt. Universe the rest I think.

Not much electron mate. Write a short bit about why I should get the job. Obviously, they agreed that I am an awesome personality :P
Thanks man. After so many years here, it's nice to have climbed somewhere up the ladder.

TFA SW looks awesome I think. I can deal with purpley-pink though :P
Really want a wah pedal now! I'm going for the VOX wahwah reissue. £10 cheaper than a crybaby, and it sounds just as fantastic.

I just wish Tak would make TFA.

Are we not counting Energon (heavy G1 homage line), BinAlt (G1s as modern sports cars), MP (how much more G1 do you want?), Classics/most of Universe (um, an updated G1 was pretty much the point of these first time around).

And of course Animated is pretty heavily G1 inspired as well, just cuter.

Anyone want a TF Classics cartoon? Because hearing Electron say they should make an updated G1 sounds like it should be put into consideration.

How does a Transformers series animated in the same way as the Hellsing OVA sound to anyone?

And an Animated series to go with the classics range as well after Animated is done and over with.

The position of power seems steep right now due to Animated being the current phase still, and if seasons 3/4 are ever made a classics cartoon is miles away.

But I heard there were plans of Darker, more adult Transformers cartoon coming along with G.I. Joe resolute so things are kinda looking up. I hope.

No. It would be screwed up, and I'd have to hate it. There are too many people with too many different ideas of what an updated G1 should be to make everyone happy, and a compromise would probably piss everyone off.
