That's just it, I wouldn't sell them on, I'd hoard them!

That sounds familiar. My argument to myself is that they will
probably go up in value.

I used to worry about taking things out of their boxes for that very reason. Then I realized, if I was really worried about resale value I'd have put my money in a savings account instead of buying toys.
So I opened them all and threw the boxes away.

I still keep the boxes, but anything I buy comes straight out of it's plastic prison.
I've got some doubles that are MISB, but that's all.

Doubles are understandable.
My E-Hobby and Encore Skywarps have never been opened. They might have horrible deformities hiding beneath their alt modes and I'd never know!

I think the loose doors can be fixed by tightening the screws.

Just been doing a bit of sprucing up on new toys this morning. Blaster had a couple of paint splashes to scrape off, easy peasy.
Sideswipe and the loose door. The problem with mine wasn't the door itself but the black part connecting it to his arm being too loose. After careful examination I realised that the main section of the forearm and the section connected to the hand were seperate components and not tight enough against each other to hold the door connector firmly in place. Rather than knock out the pins to get a look at the interior workings I figured the easiest fix would be to add a touch of superglue to the black connecting piece to add some extra surface tension. Job's a good un, holds in place nice and tight now. If anybody is going to try this though I'd recomend using a superglue with a brush rather than nozzle applicator for better control applying the glue and to help ensure that it doesn't go anywhere it's not supposed to and to make sure that you keep rotating the parts while the glue cures to prevent the parts welding in place.
Next up will be the Ironhide mod, although obviously that will be a little more involved.

Told a lie. I've startsed modding Sunstreaker instead. The lower legs have been switched left for right so that what was the sides of the legs become the fronts. Still transforms fine but has some trouble standing because the skirts come down lower on that facing. I'm carefully shaving away plastic to allow the feet a better fit, should hopefully work out nicely. Looks good though and puts an additional difference into the transformation compared to Sideswipe.

I just got back from manchester, it appears that forbidden planet has wave 3 universe deluxe in. Mine only had Silverstreak but picked him up anyway. I wanted Sideswipe but Silverstreak will have to do.

while i'll agree that the silverstreak repaint looks far superior to the prowl mold, i think i'll wait till i can get my hands on smokescreen!

I seem to be having a lucky day. Decided to switch the eyes between Classics Bumblebee and Cliffjumper (and colour in the plain one at the same time). Dropped the plain eyes out of BB. Crap. Whilst rummaging around, not only did I find the eyes but the crest off my custom Ratchet head that I lost about two months ago. On with the custom Ratchet creating!

Neither of the twins would have anything to do with that slapper.

It was just the egotistical braggart thing coupled with the slattern Arcee. The image formed before I had chance to stop it. Primus help me. Springer, Hotrod, Chromedome etc

I'm pretty sure Chromedome was only interested in Arcee in Headmasters!

I love my Bluestreak much better than prowl and no paint problems though he does have a loose head but thats the only problem. I can't wait for smokescreen to complete the trio.
