Yum, Revoltechy goodnes this morning! Convoy and Black Getter in the house y'all. Convoy's about what I expected: alright, could do with a couple more hands and a display stand. Pat Lee design isn't what I would have gone with, but... yeah. Probably the Revoltech TF where I find the Lee designs most annoying.

Black Getter is cool. Nice load of accessories, could do with a waist swivel, but pretty damn good.

Convoy is the Japanese name for Prime. I'm kinda inclined to think of this as a Convoy, because then I'm not judging him as a Prime.

i don't think robots look cool with pistols, i think there supposed to have lasers or some sort of hi-tech weaponary

I love the... what, irony I suppose. A robot that is obviously far ahead of anything we can build today, or can even hope to see in our lifetimes, but it's using 19th century firearms technology. It's why I bought my Ingram as well. Giant, human-piloted robot with a revolver and pump action shottie. WIN.

Yeah, the basic figure is a little too Japanese for my tastes. It's really the weapons that sold me on him. There's other versions that I have far less interest in.

One of the Revoltech Valkyries is perfect for a Jetfire. You'd be looking for the VF-1S Strike Valkyrie. Someone on TFW has done a great repaint.

Edit ~ Oh, you'll need another Valkrie to replace the right hand side booster. The gunpod on the VF-1S isn't right for Jetfire.

Speaking of sales.

Since they ended I've noticed sales of Animated figures in my area have really tanked. This is especially worrying considering it's Christmas.

Ever since the sale ended it took them forever to restock the two TFA shelves, and since they did absolutely nothing has moved. =/

im actually annoyed at the shops near me, they had wave 1 of animated and universe in really quickly, since then almost nothing, ive had to buy online. I got silverbolt, swoop and Galvatron from FP 2 weeks ago, but baring wave 2 of animated, its still the same 1st wave crap

From what I understand from friends who worked in the industry, anything they cant sell after a period of 6 months goes back to warehouses until a year or so later when its knocked out at silly prices just to make way for new stock.

Cast your mind back to June 2005 and you will recall all those Ironhide and Treadbolts that the company couldnt shift for love nor money....wonder if we will be seeing any of them on the shevles at knockdown prices??

Bought a shitload of comics today, all TFs since revlation, saw a bunch of animated toys in person for the first time, and Orbital had MP Skywarp and Thundercracker for £90 each, was very tempted but had to resist
