Kapow is rubbish, its cheaper to get henkei streak from xybertoys that to get Uni fron them, plus XTS has free postage

City Commander wrote:I don't think they're any glaring differences betwix Universe and henkei Inferno, no :?

The only place that really comes to mind for those two is play.com mate. They usually have what we need. No clue about exclusives and special ed sets though... =/

10 points for using the word betwix

No I didn't think so, in the only pic I've seen of him he seemed a brighter shade of red but I think it was photoshoped so who can tell

and I checked play the other day they didn't really have anything

also the new site sponser is terrible, its cheaper to import toys from BBTS,
Infact it seems like unless I see things in stores then I'll be best of buying from them form them even-more-infact the shop tyhat has the most best stuff is more expensive that them and I say that is ****

I think Im gonna finaly order Ironhide and Hound from Xybertoys

I've been deliberately not using Epic Heroes for years now. Even when stuff is on mass release in this country, they don't drop their prices. I expect to pay a premium when something isn't out here yet, but £23.74 for Universe Galvatron? WTF?

"Yeah, what have TF's done for us?"

"Animated seems to be on offer somewhere almost constantly. (Tesco/Argos/John Lewis)"

"OK. Other than the fact that Animated seems to be on offer somewhere almost constantly, What have TF's done for us?"

"Sainsbury's have the Universe Ultras at half price and all TF's were half price before Christmas."

"Alright. Other than, Animated seems to be on offer somewhere almost constantly, Sainsbury's have the Universe Ultras at half price and all TF's were half price before Christmas. What have TF's done for us?"

"We got most of the Movie Deluxe repaints at Asda"

"OK. Despite that Animated seems to be on offer somewhere almost constantly, Sainsbury's have the Universe Ultras at half price and all TF's were half price before Christmas and we got most of the Movie Deluxe repaints at Asda. What have TF's done for us?"

"Minicon pack @ a reasonable £17 at Woolies"

"I'll give you that. Ignoring the fact that Animated seems to be on offer somewhere almost constantly, Sainsbury's have the Universe Ultras at half price and all TF's were half price before Christmas, we got most of the Movie Deluxe repaints at Asda and the Minicon pack @ a reasonable £17 at Woolies. What have TF's done for us?"

"Stealth Lockdown/RRatchet with two free Legends @ under £10 at Tesco at the moment."

"Right. I suppose that's true. However, apart from Animated seems to be on offer somewhere almost constantly, Sainsbury's have the Universe Ultras at half price and all TF's were half price before Christmas, we got most of the Movie Deluxe repaints at Asda, the Minicon pack @ a reasonable £17 at Woolies, and Stealth Lockdown/R.Ratchet with two free Legends @ under £10 at Tesco at the moment. I haven't seen any animated deals other that the one I got off Tekka but then again I haven't been looking spose I'll have to look into that and the half price uni ultras are definitely intregueing, I've been in a quandry over weather to get uni Onslought and Silverbolt of the slightly better henkei paint apps (which Im a sucka for) for an extra tenner each but if I can find a sainsburys that has them I guess that settles the matter, I can't justify paying over £20 for a slightly different shade of paint -however I'm centain I need henkei Powerglide

Still though my pointless ramblings point still reamains none of those store are anywhere near me and none of them stock any of the 'exclusive' figures

Weapon: Air Rifle
Yeah I checked play last night, the number of tf toys has seriously decreased.
Still, they've got universe galvy and TFA oilslick at a nice lil markdown. Will have to tell the sibling.

I needs to write down my new hunts-list...

henkei cheetor
universe hound
universe inferno
animated ultra magnus
animated blurr
animated jetfire & jetstorm
animated wreck garr

I think that's all the new big bots coming out these next few months? =?
Will have to look into universe overload and roadbuster as well, if I can find them reasonably cheap anyways.

I picked up my package today which included Botcon Thundercracker and the last few pieces to finish off my G1 superion. Thundercracker looks really nice but that's only because it's rare.

I think the Sainsbury's deal is about the only other one for Universe at the moment.(Ultra's at half price,- £13.50)
Might be able to find Silverbolt there. (& the Powerglide repaint, Stormcloud)
Play have Galvatron @ £8.99.

Sainsbury's also have the best standard price for Animated Activators @ £2.99. Nice little figures, especially for less than £3.
The only other current Animated offer worth mentioning is Tesco's half price Voyagers. Which may include the Stealth Lockdown/R.Ratchet with two free legends. I say may 'cus when I got my S. Lockdown, he rang up as full price and I had to point at that they were on the same shelf as the Voyagers. They may ring up half price now though, as that was near the beginning of the offer and it might have been an oversight.

Other than that, it's always worth checking Play.com for Deluxe Animated figs. Especially now that they send 'em out boxed and they arrive in one piece!!
Play have:
Jazz/Soundwave @ £8.99
Oilslick @ £5.99

So far so good matey! I keep weird hours and right now is lunch time. I'm going with one at a time on the tuna steaks so I don't ruin all four(!) at once. Chocolate grappa with Teacher's tastes far too tame but has raised my temperature to a worrying number of degrees.
There is a Homer Sapien grinding it's way around the floor and sweat on my brow. I've also realized that I've been here ages now and still haven't opened my Classics Ramjet from last year. I may have a mission. If I can find it. And no-one else can help...

P.S. Tuna good, sauce all over my new Stewie Griffin slipper.

Think I might just stick around and enjoy the madness :)

Is anyone else up north and finding that our Sainsburys are rubbish? I have been to 4 different ones, 3 did toys and only 1 of them bothers to stock more than about 1/2 a shelf. Managed to snag a 13.50 powerglide tho - so not all bad.

Can see the start of 2009 being painful to the wallet - lots of Universe stuff to be had and lots of it is sooooooo tempting... gonna need a second job at this rate

Glad to hear it! =D

I'm in Hull for large parts of the year now, but there isn't actually a sainsburys up there that does toys.
However, most of the sainsburys down here are just as crap. I had to go all the way to Walsall to find the ultras. But my god was it worth it!

I know what you mean there too. I've been spending a fair whack these last few weeks on transformers, and I'll probably do so again in February when the new universe and animated figures are on the shelves!

I'm gonna have to get a job in the summer to pay off my expenditures I think :P
