Ideally my picks would be Whirl from Energon Bulkhead (new head), Sandstorm from Energon Cliffjumper, Broadside from Armada Tidalwave (new head), Topspin from Energon Jetfire (new head) and Twin Twist from Armada Delolisher (new missiles). There's quite a few big toys in that list so practically even spread over the on the day figures some of those wouldn't be practical. I can see something like Energon Skyblast being used as Topspin or The Energon combiner helicopter as Whirl to get the full line up in.
There are bplenty of other associated characters that would fit with the set. While I'd love to see an Impactor from G2 Hero Megatron that would be an easy one to bash from the RiD Bludgeon verion of the mould so wouldn't exactly be an essential in the set. Not sure what you'd do for Emirate Xaaron or Rack'n'Ruin but either of those could be interesting. From the Survivors and Stormbringer comics you also get Inferno, Skids and Scoop as candidates. There's no need for an Inferno at the moment but the other two could be fair game.
I'm under no illusion that the set will be all Autobots though. A Pretender Beasts theme of Carnivac, Catilla (yes as a 'con) and Snarler would be cool but there really aren't the modern moulds to pull them off.
I've got high hopes so I'll be dissapointed on something but as soon as that particular group was mentioned this year's set became a must buy.

Two Voyager Bulkheads joined together as Rack'n'Ruin (new head molds)
Repaint of Prime as Inferno (new head mold)
Repaint of Lockdown into Devcon (new head mold)
Any other ideas?

also I noticed on the website they had pictures of the previous waves, what all that about?

Suppose it's cus they use a catalogue for 6 months and don't know which figures they will have in that far in advance. Also the earlier waves will not be available 3 months down the line, so it's a waste of space in he cat.
Chronic wrote:so what would you advise as the best way to secure these items before checking the shops?
You could keep reserving one over and over again until it shows as out of stock, so they don't sell any to other people. Then take a couple of your reservation codes in and ask for a customer view and see what they have got!
Chronic wrote:also I noticed on the website they had pictures of the previous waves, what all that about?
'cus they are lazy.

I think he means specific figures, which you can't.
Size class? Yes.
But individual figures within that class? No.

And stupid, when you think about. Ok, so they're saving themselves the trouble of assigning seperate numbers, but they give themselves the problem of people buying TFs cluttering up their store demanding they bring out all their Deluxes just so we can go "Nope, got all those. Any idea when you'll be getting Cyclonus?"
