I didn't realise I'd made such an impact.
I'm pretty frustrated, eBay would only let me list 10 items this month so I have to wait several days for Paypal to verify my bank. How suck is that? :-x

That's nothing, they're only a tiny amount ebay allowed me to list yesterday. The rest I'll put up in a few days.
If I kept any I'd only fall back in to collecting again.

hmm I like the Red Alert kit, but it's not as important to me as a roadbuster kit or the junkion kits. At $27, that's too rich for my blood.

Perhaps, but I'm glad I did! I'm arranging to get a cast of the G1 head off of Cycrolus to pop onto my universe Hardhead, since the body screams Roadbuster to me. While the Roadbuster kit was a lovely kit (this set too), for me it's not essential. Although, if Venksta does a pack of shoulder missile pods I'll definitely get that! I can live without the head or gun, but the missile packs are straight up NEED.

Even better, someone else already did it!

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons- ... uster.html

Though I won't be painting mine. The idea of the toy basically not being durable enough to handle regularly puts the idea off the map for me, so I'm having the head painted to match the Hardhead colour scheme.

For some, heresy. But for me, it'll do nicely.

Yeah it'll take some getting used to, but I'll make something up in my head about a reformatting or some such :P Really it's just the garish orange has become stone grey, and the brown is replaced with olive green. The head might need some extra green at the base though, it looks a bit odd in one solid colour. Reeeaaally don't wanna paint such a pricey figure, s'why I'm not looking for anyone to paint it up.

hmm yeah it could pull it off. It's the broad, powerful frame the mold has. Really suits Roadbuster I think!

Funnily enough, I'm hankering for Defender heels too! That, and a Superion abdomen filler to make the gestalt mode more sturdy. Waiting til process can produce a modded slider for Wheeljack before buying though so can get everything at once.

Note down everything you want from there and around easter we'll get it sorted!

hmm it's true, especially since Onslaught sat around for a while on half price last year. Weird huh? Don't see many customs with that mold at all!

Basically the sliders are the parts in Wheeljack's legs that connect his shins to his thighs. They do this by having a hollow track with a pin fastened through it to connect the bottom parts of the legs. The tracks are much shorter on Wheeljack than on Tracks, so when fully extended he's not as tall.
Could just mod them, but I'm led to believe that there's a friction locking mechanism holding them in place when fully extended, so modding (modifying) the tracks would be risky and take a lot of time. Far quicker to have a 3d model printed with the modified extended track already designed into it so the structural integrity of the whole piece isn't affected.
