Hell yes, I'm having a Rodimus Prime christmas.

Heck, I might even do some special photos of TFA Rodimus (whom I'll be coming home to at crimbo), Protector, MP Rodimus and Titanium Rodimus all doing their awesome leader thang.

and the reason for me having shatter glass rod is because he had a wicked moustache

I'm a bit of a fan of his character. He was interesting, different and more human than Optimus ever was. Sadly he was still quite badly written by the show folks, making him out to be a jerkish loser most of the time. But I ignore that.

In my mind, he's the badass that destroyed Unicron and banished Galvatron from Cybertron in the movie all the time 8D

thats an interesting way to think of him, but to me he will always be the reason for primes down fall

do you follow any of the comics he's appeared in? like spotlight hotrod, revelations or maximum dinobots? he plays pretty big parts in each

I read all of revelations and the spotlight series, Hot Rod was brilliant in them. Really showed some maturity and acceptance for the consequences of his actions.

And then the ongoing brought him past square one, somewhere closer to minus ten. A bigger jerk than ever, and massively incompetent.
It did not please me that the reason for my number one favourite character dying was because of my number three....poor Ironhide...

EDIT:: On another note, for the posters here who don't frequent the tfw sightings thread and such...

Last days of my collection sale, things go on ebay sunday. All prices negotiable, whether they be for a lot or for single figures. Shipping good and at cost.

No spoiler mate, it's from IDW Transformers ongoing #1 or #2 I believe.

I won't fall through mate, Railracer is yours :P Just gotta find a bleedin box. Trust you to pick a set that doesn't fit any of the boxes I have (NB I have about 12 shipping boxes of varying shape and size)

lol Nah just pulling your leg mate, was surprised it didn't fit. The one box it does fit leaves no room for bubble wrap on the ends. But I'm off to Worcester either tomorrow or Saturday with me mother, so shall grab a good box then!

Oh ****, I'm sorry mate! Didn't realise you hadn't read it.... =S

yeh i was avoiding it, because i didn't like the transformers the movie type character art, because i prefer the more blocky idw/dreamwave style

i recently purchased the first one from amazon, i found its just easier and cheaper if i wait for the tdp rather than the single comics, still bummer

take your time with rail racer, no rush just don't drag me along for three weeks, two weeks max ok?

Yeah the art's pretty damn poor, especially in the earlier ones. It gets better in later issues. Did you not read Ironhide or Bumblebee? They used more blocky artwork for the tranformers.

I'll try to get it out to you Saturday. I'd have had it out today if I wasn't immobilised in the family cottage, miles from any town. Need to learn to drive this year I think.

i haven't brought a comic since all hail megs, decided to just wait for all the tdp from amazon its just cheaper that way, had to prioritise tf purchases with the more relevant tf stuff for my collection, coming from expensive third party sources

i have purchased bumblebee, and probably buy ironhide when its released by amazon

also need to learn to drive, but what really gets me is the price of insurance, car and fuel

Yeah makes sense. I refuse to buy the comics cos of the price, just get copies off my bro (he gets em online somewhere) though we do own the Spotlight series. Couldn't afford all the games clothes and nights out I like if I bought into the comics too.

Yeah cars are expensive bitches. At least if I learn I could borrow one of the cars my parents own. Make nipping into town of a night much easier.

if your brothers such a tf fan,how come he doesn't have an account on seibs?

night outs are cheap for me now as i decided not to drink, so i can afford to go out more

cc how come your selling you botcon kup, he's a pretty decent representation of the character, even though he's on the chuby side

He might do, but he's never told me about it. He's a bit of a miserable sarcastic bar-steward, wouldn't be the best company :P
But I dunno, guess he's just not that into it. Which is funny cos we've both collected for the same length of time-- he always bought decepticons, I got Autobots. He owned a lot of Botcon stuff before he decided to shrink his collection. Kinda spurred me onto narrowing mine too.

Botcon Kup doesn't do it for me anymore. Looks great next to classics Hotrod and energon Arcee, but will look terrible next to City Commander, Protector, Defender and generations Blurr. Arcee I can just about get over since she was pretty small anyway, but Kup...

I'd rather have a great representation or go without tbh.

Not to say that he isn't a fabulous figure, cos he is. Fantastic toy, the mold suits him. Just wish he was a taller mold I guess.

sarcasms funny, as long as it comes with a smilie, because other wise people would be oblivious to it

its cool that you guys go between cons and bots, but do you have any say to stuff he wants to get rid of? because you guys are always gonna have different particular favourites right? i am assuming you current collection priorities like alot of us, is gunna be neo classics?

as for kup he is pretty nice and to short, but i could never get rid of mine because he's got a paint defect on his left eye so i don't think anyone will want him, plus he was part of my first botcon set ever and shatter glass hotrod being my first botcon figure ever

i have to say you have alot of great stuff in your sales thread for great prices its just a shame that you have to revert to ebay, cause the fee's really take a chunk out of profits, but ther seems to be loads of hidden collectors watching things on there, so you might get a better deal on it

Kinda yes and no. If it's like botcon stuff, then no. But if I really wanted something I'm sure he could overcome his urge to make cash to give it to me. He gave me his classics Megatron when he go his Henkei one. Did give me Starscream too, but then he sold that :P

Sorta yes and no again. We both love Soundwave, but apart from that I guess you're right.

Yeah my collecting priority now has pretty much switched solely to neo-classics. Finished with the movie and Animated, will keep on masterpieces but getting rid of alternators, got my shelf of primes and Beast Wars stuff sorted, selling what doesn't fit into my vision.

And thanks to classics, Universe, Generations and 3rd party stuff, I've almost got every classics tranformer I really want. Sure I'd love a classics Computron and Defensor and the like, but I can wait years for those without buying another tf cos I've got pretty much everything I've sought.
I'll do pics tomorrow while I do my sales thread up.

Ah that's a bummer, but maybe touch him up if you can match the blue right? Yeah I know what you mean about first convention figures. SG Rodimus is a beaut, he's one my bro's keeping and he looks fantastic. His just has a goatee

It's a terrible shame and just plain silly. Nobody UK-wise seems to really be after what I got, and the yanks are too cheap and keep whinging about shipping and how they're not really low balling me. If they can get a classics Megs for $12 shipped then that's great, why don't they go get one and stop bothering me?

It's gonna be a bitch to sell the stuff on ebay, and I can see I'm gonna lose a lot of money doing so, so I'm only selling big stuff on there. Will probably just chuck the deluxe figures and such back into storage til christmas time and try again on tfw then.

I really just wanna sell RiD Magnus, Landfill, my alternators, Armada FB Prime, PM Prime and Henkei Hot Shot now. That'll make enough for me to buy my books for this semester at least. I'm so tired of searching through the wants forum and people's wants threads in sigs seeing if anyone needs anything I'm selling. It's massive hassle I don't care for.

It's massive hassle I don't care for.

have you considered advertising on the more UK based forums like moonbase2?thetf.net and transformertoys but all but the first seem to be dead these days

as for my botcon kup its his face that has the defect just below the eye

yeh ebay is big hit and miss some figures sell for more than you expect, and other don't really, takes the piss

and yup yanks, all they seem to do is whinge, its like the build up to the release of fp bruticus every other thread was like, "argh can't wait" "grr why they taking so long"

I might try @themoon and see if I garner any sales, but yeah most UK tf sites are deathly quiet these days. Hasblo have done a good job killing off the interest.

Ah devastating man, sorry to hear that. What's happened? A chip in the sculpt?
*sigh* PM Prime might do alright on there, though I'll be disappointed and annoyed if he sells for less than £40. Gotta take the plunge though I guess!

I realised today that I actually have most of the boxes for the Cyberton stuff I'm selling. Hell, might have some Energon ones too. Will have to get em down tomorrow and box things up for pictures.

They need to learn some (a) manners, (b) patience, and (c) grammar/spelling skills. It's appalling reading their posts since most are just whinging, badly spelt and impatient. It makes me laugh when I read about them moaning about poor QC plastic, how it (breaks when I look at it). Considering I seem quite able to mess around with the same figures without worry.

Too ham-handed, too ham-headed :P

moonbase 2 seems to have a pretty big presence at AA last year, and probably this year two so wouldn't hurt to post a thread there mate

yup jus a paint chip on botcon kup, i jus see it as a battle scar neways, unique to my personal collection

how much did you pay for pm prime in the first place? he's nice in the box but i find him a really disappointing figure to much of a brick for me

yeh boxes and pictures help sell esp if the boxes are in decent condition

yes they need to learn manners, patience and grammar (not like i can really speak as i tend to shorten everything) but some of the things they come up with are ridiculously stupid, its like the speak before they think, i remember a thread that popped up saying "is the term gee-one considered racist" or something like this, and i was like "really?" the people who actually sed yes were morons, and the person who created the thread had convinced himself that it was

the thing with yank complaining about things breaking so easily is because there heavy handed or got really chubby fingers or like you sed ham-handed

£30 five years or so ago. Considering he's only going for past the hundred mark on ebay, I'll be pissed if he's less than £40.

The term Gee-Wun seems more of a joke than a slur to me. They are just quite frankly ridiculous. Will be getting all the boxes down after I finish sorting out getting paid. The Best Connection and Nortbert Denstressangle are trying to cheat me out of half my holiday pay and my finishing bonus :-x
