Well Forbidden Planet in Glasgow have gotten their shipment of RTS Wave 2 in.

Bought Wreck-Gar and Perceptor. Almost bought G2 Prime, but decided against it. Not that I hate the figure, I just can't afford it right now.

Though I've been noticing some QC problems with the RTS stuff. The Jazz I bought last week has one of the pins missing on one of his speakers. IT keeps falling off. Worse though is Wreck-Gar. One of his handlebars snapped right off when I transformed him into bot mode for the second time. Really annoyed at that.

Not to mention that 'Ceptor is covered in stress marks. :(

Went to pick up my armada wheeljack from the sorting office today. All excited about opening the first armada figure in like six years, loving the package and everything until I get him open and remember armada wasn't known for articulation or stability.
Shame, but he's still a nice figure.
But wind sheer can't raise his arms!!!! WHY hasbro?!

Forbidden Planet do? Manchesters doesn't even have wave 1 yet. To busy selling N.E.S.T figures and thinking they're doing so well that they don't need to put out new stock. :-x

What is this "Argos deal" I keep hearing about?

I was under the impression that at Argos you could not choose which figures you got, so you would just get two random wave 2 RTS figures?

Man, that sucks.
I rarely visit FP in Glasgow. I get a 30% discount at my comicbook shop which also stocks TFs so I loathe to pay full price for figures, but my LCS hasn't been doing too well on the TF front (they got generations wave 1 in, but they've still got a tonne of HFTD stuff to shift. Sad times.)

The argos deal is 2 deluxe Tfs for £15. If you go into the store you can ask for a customer view where they show you what figures they have got so you can choose. I use it all the time. Sometimes just to amuse myself and give them something to do.

Does anyone know if there is a uk only selling thread? Or do you just put your own on the buy, sell, trade thread and hope somebody takes a look? Not sure on the protocol so any advice greatly appreciated.

See, Shakespeare left out the bit where Romeo showed Juliet his complete MIB collection of Beast Wars Neo figures.
Apparently it was too anachronistic.

I wouldnt worry too much, women come and go but your toys will stay around longer (unless they get them in the seperation) :)

But seriously, the girl at Argos probabaly wouldnt be that impressed mainly due to the fact shes hit on most days by the average idiot that goes window shopping. Just be cool, calm, friendly, smile, make small talk whilst asking her questions about herself and youll do ok if shes a nice lass.

Ive been lucky and gone from a 5'10", green eyed russian who bleed me dry to a very hot geek and gamer girl who actually likes the fact I'm a geek and doesnt want to change me and Ive not been as happy in a long time.

Back to the TF talk, we get more actual waves of toys than America but theyre all very odd repackages of old toys. I remember looking at the boxes of movie 2 toys when it was up to wave 9 of deluxes and we still didnt have half the stuff America did.

Heres hoping we get the rest of the RTS ebfore the movie stuff starts to filter through in a couple of months.

Having played with the new DOTM Ironhide with that honking gun I can say thoses things are gonna break in the hands of children, the chest is on a conserteena made up of about 8 folding pieces. The weapons are rubbish really. Totally there for the kids.

apparently rts and generations are continuing thru the first few months of the movie line. presumably so hasbro can get out the maximum amount of tf product to rake in the mmovie goers money.
thats what i heard anyway. and i believe it, especially as generations warpath is only a prototype but dotm crankcase is already a proper toy being flogged by sneaky people who work at hasbro factories.
i wouldnt be surprised if kids did break the new figs, i read some of the reviews on the argos website for rotf stuff...not good. that was a depressing half hour i will never get back. these parents were so retarded, saying they cant transform a scout. come on, grow a brain!
