fwiw I remember the ODB thread
was quite sad to see it go, even though I wasn't a regular poster there
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Wasp-shot23 wrote:went to toys r us in chatham today. very poor show of tfs. until i found the rest somewhere else in the shop. loads of rts wave 2s. picked up wreck-gar and then put him down and got perceptor instead. chrome-chrome-chrome!! :BOT:

Confirmed at the TRU in Stevenage this morning, all four of the Wave 2 RTS figures, in Euro packaging, present and correct. There were at least four of each, so it looks like 2-3 cases have been put out.

Suffice to say there is one less of each now.... ;)

Now for the really interesting bit, these scan at a bargain-tastic £9.97. What's more is that the till recognises them as HFTD product, due to Hasbro lumping all UK/Euro deluxes under one barcode.

The ramifications of this are that these may not be arouns for long, if retailers are already sitting on HFTD deluxes they're not going to order more of what they perceive to be more of the same range of figures.

Most retailers will be looking to order DOTM toys, not further stock of what they think are current lines. Lets just hope the Voyagers put in an appearnce, beacuse if they do the UK will have received the ENTIRE range of RTS product....

Image

That could just be me being over-dramatic... :P

However, we might have already had them if Hasbro were a little more savvy with their barcodes and solicitations.

I remember a lot of ye olde original disgruntled Brits; like Big Grim, Redimus, Psychout...they're the ones I remember us losing at least. Waaaaghlord is from around the same time, and Dead Metal came just after me cos I remember him first joining (all wee and shy he was :lol ).

The old disgruntled Brits thread got to a similar size as this one I think, before the whole of the boards were "accidentally" wiped.

They'll probably do the later RTS/Generations figures in he next version of United/Henkei after the movie buzz dies. But at least for now that means there's no attractive twice-the-price second option when buying classics figures :P

Yup, HMW Psychout. He didn't play often in the ODB thread once the original was wiped clean.

I wouldn't give up hope just yet on United. I'm sure it'll be back after the movie buzz is dead; TakaraTomy typically only run one main line at a time since their fanbase is smaller/costs higher. United'll be back in some form by October I reckon.

Naw, though those two are essentially married anyway :P

I kinda miss riling Burn up. Might pop over to the HMW forums later on.

I've no doubt a United version would be epic, but this is one of those rare moments where I'm actually happy with the Generations version! Real glad his cannon is solid plastic and not rubbery, a fantastic figure all in all and one of the few molds genuinely worth the £15 we must pay for it! (Jazz being another)

yeh, i watched that too. whats the big deal with rts deluxes being £9.99? that's the standard deluxe RRP now. tescos dont obey it and still charge £12.99 i know, but everywhere else has the right prices.
percy's pretty nice, i'm gonna have to try to get wreck-gar soon then.
roll on the 12th! the day when lugnut comes to availability and i wont have any money cos its my mum's birthday the day after! sarcastic woo!
ive still gotts get battle blades prime though, ive been wanting him since christmas, although...i'm becoming tempted with the look of the dotm voyager prime...i know i cant believe id want that. but the lgs are spot on and he's got shiny bits and a mahoosive gun... damn peaugh just sold it too well in his review i guess. ive gotta say no to dotm prime, i need one with blades AND guns!
