I can confirm wave 3 deluxes at my local Tesco for £6.50. Couldn't take advantage since I'm tight on rent which goes out on Monday.

Well, flipping heck, yes, my tesco has the half price reductions too... God I wish I wasn't next to broke. I snapped up a Cindersaur vs Smokescreen set though, for an Abominus leg stand in, til I can get Rippersnapper and Blight. So, for the price, (£4.50) Classic look Smokescreen was basically free, nice!
Oh and I ended up with a kreo mole from Thunderbi- I mean Nosecone too.

I'll be checking Tesco tomorrow then. I might buy a non-gummi Abominus, or as many pieces as I can get if they're half-price. Possibly a deluxe or two too.

The last time I was in Chatham, they only had FOC Soundwave and Grimlocks, no deluxes. The only Generations deluxes they had were the IDW ones.

if you like Air Raid, the Japanese version goes very well with it as a pair.

I've heard that people like Sideswipe better than Jazz, but if that's the case Jazz must have been really bad. It's like when you see someone in a perfectly tailored suit, wearing white socks and sandals. A waste of potential awesome.

Magnus is even worse than that, just because it looks so good, but its tiny, and suffers a bit from Ironhide Depression Syndrome. Otherwise he's bloody fantastic.

I've only seen the Not IDW Cause There's No Comics But They're Still More Expensive Here Than In America Deluxes at TRU lately.

Just popped to Tesco and found Constructbots Soundwave and Wheeljack half-price at £7.50 and Beast Hunters voyagers at £10, deluxes were £6.50. As far as I could surmise, in the brief time I had with two nieces going mental and trying to knock my cap off with magic wands, this offer should be on until the third of October.

Toys R Us Chatham was unfortunately bereft of anything interesting :( Sorry Wasp and Craggy, no new toys for you guys.

Only new thing was the Prime / Predaking 2 pack that wasn't there last time I looked. I would have been interested in it, but I wan't the other 3 Voyagers much more than slightly differently painted versions of the same old wave 1 Voyagers :(

Gotta say, size problem aside, I love FoC Magnus. Sideswipe is a bit simple and seems kinda enormous next to Magnus, but then again Prime and Jazz have the same issue. Screamer is just awesome. Really love the mould, bit mode especially is really faithful to the game.

I don't get what you mean... Exchange rate doesn't apply to toys, they're marked up at a standard price point, 12.99 be that pounds or dollars. It's the same equivalent cost to an American or a Briton.

Exchange rate does apply to toys surely? $14.99 is about £9.44, while the RRP for a deluxe class figure in the UK is £12.99. So we Brit's pay more.

Well, yes exchange rates apply to anything, but that's not a factor on how things are priced in separate countries. If you want to go all the way to America to use cheaper dollars to make a saving, be my guest, but equivalent cost is the same worldwide. Each person in each country pays 12.99 of their currency to buy a deluxe where it is that price. If exchange rate made a difference to overseas prices, where do you have the reference point? Is the UK the standard, making figures comparatively cheaper when in dollars, or is it the other way around? This is why price points on items like toys are standard, because they're globally distributed things. It's not like the price of corn or petrol or wine. It's a futile argument to say something is cheaper in another country with a whole different currency, you can't really compare these things so arbitrarily.

no, but you can compare them with cost of living, average wage and cost of other items. A video game that's a standard $60 on release if £40 here. A Big Mac meal is only a couple of dollars, whereas it's a fiver here. Very few companies simply swap the currency icon on their products from one country to the next, because they can't get away with it.
