Its the northern uprising!
I would like to make it along to an AA meeting sometime to help prop up the bar and have a bit of a giggle at all the Transformers nerds!![]()
I am just the worst at trying to save money for these sort of things though, even something fairly local like Collectormania @ Milton Keynes tends to come around a week/days before pay day which aint good!
Ive been meaning to ask, perhaps I missed a post but whatever happened to Banjo-tron..?
![]()
On Topic: Havent seen anything recently as I havent been out!![]()
I haven't seen Banjo-tron at all recently. Nothing has been posted explaining his absence that I've seen.
Northern Transformerism:
"Such heroic bullshit, that mate."

It's safe to assume that I'm just taking the piss.

Well Optimus would be dodgy old morris minor and Megatron would probably be the push bike from the hovis ads.
Personally I'd like to see a cockney version;
"Freedom is the right of all....."
"Oi Prime shut it you mug! Give us the energon and do one you filthy slag!"

The constant needless violence and plethora of characters who are all clearly psychotic fits what we're used to in the North too. When I was a kid there was a really dodgy bloke in our local park who used to hang around for hours in a trench coat, everybody knew that he was a pervert but was never caught. I always imagined he had a voice very similar to G1 Megatron.

It's safe to assume that I'm just taking the piss.

You sure that wasn't the appropriately named Nightbeat?

Sounds more like the beast machines Megatron toy with its cloak on, wanting to flash prime.
In transformers: Northern Prime, the war was started like most fights in the north, a spilt drink on match day

Been having a bit of a reshuffle at home and have decided to get shot of my Masterpiece Megatron. He just looks so out of place on my Masterpiece shelf now.
So, if anyone is interested I am more than happy to offer him up to you guys before I stick him on eBay. He is complete, I need to check his box though, I'm pretty sure I have the box but I am not certain about the plastic tray. I should have his instructions as well.
He is in good nick with a couple of minor exceptions. Like all Masterpiece Meagatrons he is affected by Cosmic Rust. there are fixes for it, but to be honest I have never bothered trying to get rid of it. The other issue is a small clip on his back snapped off literally the first time I got transformed him. It does not hinder transformation and it doesn't make a difference in robot mode, in fact, when I looked earlier I couldn't even find where it came from! I still have the offending piece and may even do a pin and glue repair to it if I get chance.
Let me know if you are interested, I will send pics if you want them

Was my first time and I loved it, as did the wife! Only thing I regret not getting was a Beast Hunters Shockwave! Seen it and walked on assuming he'd be there later!
Did everyone get what they were after? Good hauls?

I had a great time and got loads of bots. Didn't spend all my money and maybe regretting a tiny wee bit, but really happy with 99% of the stuff I got. Met loads of cool people and got a hug off Nick Roche at the very end of it. Can't complain, and raring to go for next year!

I know the pain Va'al, I have to usually make a choice between expo and Collectormania and work, usually closely followed by Hyper Japan and LFCC. These things do tend to clump.
Am helping out at Roll Out Roll Call though in October if any one fancy's going to Southampton, nic elittle con dedicated to TF's GI Joe and He-Man.
How was AA?

Among them were the 2 packs, I saw the Guiledart, Terrorsaur and Doomlock repaint sets, sitting right beside were the new legends figures wave, with grimlock, stinger and (silver knight?) optimus.
And most importantly, they had Kreo Microchangers wave 5. 2 full cases. I took advantage of this to get myself duplicates of Nightbeat and Wingspan so I could make a Counterpunch and Pounce. If anybody needs me to middle man these to them, I'd be happy to see what I can pick up.
With regards to AA, there seems to have been very little excitement compared to last year on this board. Were there any exclusives this year? I know last year there was the MechIdeas demolition crew repaint and the conversion kit to turn FE Vehicons into NotBarricade "Badcop".
I haven't ever been, I would have come this year, but I'm getting married on the 15th of September so I've had to redirect funds towards my honeymoon. The wife-to-be is promising we can both go next year though. How much would you guys recommend putting away for it? How much does it usually cost including registration and hotels etc?

You guys weren't kidding; they are brilliant to order from, he turned up on my doorstep before they had even sent out his dispatch email; I don't think I've ever had shipping quite so fast.
He's a really brilliant figure; scales really well with the classics shelf. I've added some panel lining and some red and black paint to give him back the paint apps he lost somewhere between his stock photography and production and he really pops.
I was fiddling with him last night to try and achieve some kind of gerwalk mode; but it's just *not quite* possible. You can kind of get it, but you end up with either the front section of the fuselage no locked in to place, or the legs facing sideways.
Oh and Kapow have a pre-order up for custom kreon wave 2 (cliff, hound, jazz, dreadwind, galvy & predaking) they're due sometime this month apparently.
