Heh, sorry was so caught up in finally getting him my tact-filter failed.

Been despatched already... 65 mins from confirmation email to despatched email - that's impressive!

Picked up a ratrap, waspinator and trailcutter off evilbay last week. Another deal too good to refuse =P~
Already got a trailcutter, so he will be going back up for auction at some point.

Have now got over 100 generations figures :D

Just shifted my hobby-spending focus for a while. For example: Today, instead of a litre of scotch and three-thousand cigarettes, I've got Alpha Bravo and the Protectobots Evac Squad. Finally something to put on my shelf and call 'Inferno'; that should last longer than a blackout and twenty-odd hours of impending doom.

Forgot to mention, quitting smoking and the fact I don't drink helps keep the wallet healthy too.

You don't drink? How the bloody hell do you get through the day? ;)

Hope all you UK Seibertronians have a decent New Year!

Well, I don't... Not drink. I just dont make a habit of pissing several quid up a wall every weekend. I enjoy the odd carribean dark rum, and a bit of bubbly on special occasions. Must admit though, I'm presently 6 beers an half a bottle of asty deep.

Happy New Year Knight Seibers! Happy hunting for 2015

(on topic, I got Jhiaxus and Nightbeat at Liverpool Forbidden Planet today, almost picked up crosscut there too. Only went in on the offchance they might still have sandstorm, but they seemed to be knee deep in springers, had 4 of the buggers)

It sounds like Liverpool's Forbidden Planet get a much better range of Transformer figures than the Manchester store. Saying that, I've never liked buying anything but comics from FP because of (IMO) their extortionate prices. I'll have to come along one day as I've been after Nightbeat for quite some time.

I didn't get anything Transformers related for Christmas this year. I moved into my first house at the end of November and so my financial priorities have slightly changed over the past six months. I'm hoping that things will start evening out and I can start investing in toys again. Just a pain that there's so much I want and I have so little money to spend!

Another Smyths Bury update, snagged Firefly this afternoon, leaving me done with wave 1. Still quite a few figures left, 2 Silverbolts, 2 Alpha Bravo's, 2 Windchargers, 1 Firefly and 1 Thundercracker.

They had jhiaxus, nightbeat, windblade, crosscut, waspinator, goldfire, sywarp, scoop and centurion. All at a reasonable £14.99.

Oh and liverpool one TRU has the RID deluxes.

Liverpool is a half decent hunting spot right now.

Did anyone else end up getting that Swindle and Arcee KO set from B+M? If not, I might have to get some more coal for my camera because this is some rather high quality unusualness.

I think I saw these. ROTF deluxe moulds? I spotted them in my local b&m. They are indeed a special kind of ugly. Looks like someone applied silver paint on cheap plastic with a paintball gun.

They're '07 Movie moulds, Swindle in pretty much his original scheme and Arcee in blue and black.
Plastic is really quite nice but Arcee's missile tends to turn up all over the place when you thought it was still in the launcher. Not bad for a tenner anyway. The real fun is the box, it's (too) big and sturdy and great for occupying a cat for a while. These things also come with collector cards, I kid ye not. Arcee and Swindle are known as Hellcat and Megabolt respectively and, as well as their shameless tech-spec aping, also feature individual TF-style instruction sheets which identify Hellcat as 'Carroll' and Megabolt (now a triple changer with an 'artillery' mode! ahem) as.... Flamefeather. That's right. There's word of the name Flamefeather being used for the new RID but I don't think anyone expected it here. Best of all is a big slice of cardboard forming a removable (and totally unnecessary) in-box backdrop with some very nice generic sci-fi space art on it which will cover up another area of buy-to-rent magnolia behind some real figures.

well, can't argue with the price for that mold, but it really depends how wide you want to cast your net with your masterpiece collection. Strikes me a sort of a 2nd string character. Did you pick up acid storm? Feels like they should ne a pair really.

Yes, at £40 he's worth every penny IMO. It might just be my figure but his chest actually pegs in more securely than my MP11 which cost £120.

Cheers for the advice gents. I didn't get Acid Storm but I think I'll still go for this one. I agree that he's more of a 'second string' Decepticon but he looks really nice from the galleries and for the price you can't knock it. I get paid again on the 15th so will pick him up then along with Combiner Wars Silverbolt. I'm not really feeling CW Optimus Prime.. the design just doesn't sit right with me.

The missus won't be happy anyway. I'm supposed to be saving for the billion and one holidays she wants to go on this year with it being her 30th. I wouldn't mind, I've already paid for us to go to Rome in Easter and she's going America with work. Some women just can't be satisfied! :BOOM:

Rome for Easter can be stupidly busy (though more tolerable than summer). Make sure to plan pretty much everything in advance, and avoid central places for food/drink unless it's especially for a very fancy meal.

Did a bit of a shop tour over the last week.

Toys R Us Thurrock had Sunstorm, but I can't really afford him. They also had a couple of RID deluxes but I am actually thinking of giving that line a miss! No sign of any more Prime Shockwave.

I have now been to 2 different Smyths (Maidstone and Thurrock) and been disappointed / frustrated. Maidstone had a few legends - but only Thundercracker and Windcharger - I bought Thundercracker. No deluxe at all and the only Voyager was a Silverbolt.

Thurrock had no Deluxe, no Legends and only 2 Voyagers. I bought Bufftimus Prime as I didn't have him yet.

At this point I have none of the Legends I actually want and not a single limb deluxe. I do have some Amazon vouchers though...

Sad as I am for being a traitor, I cast my eye over the TFW UK sightings thread, reportedly CW legends are in stock at Smyths Speke. I checked the listed for the assortment on the smyths website and it says sure enough they're in stock, says St,Helens store has low stock on these. I wonder why the manager at speke said they werent getting the legends asst. Wonder if I can rope my dad into driving me down there for a hunt again. If i can't convince him, is there anyone fancy's picking them up for me?

If you're willing to go a little further down the A13 from Thurrock you can find the whole set of CW figures available at the Smyths in Galleon's Reach. It's where I got Silverbolt and Bombshell (only had £35 on me at the time :-( ).

I bought Firefly, Skydive and Alpha Bravo off Amazon with my vouchers. Still need to pick up Drag Strip and Powerglide. I might check my local Smyths (Goodmayes) this weekend.

Anyone know if TRU has started stocking these? The 4 Deluxes have appeared on the site for delivery, but say nothing about in store.
