Why must I yell UCHUUU KITAAA when I see that pic?.

Toy fair was great and a much better way to spend a Saturday than on Valentines day.

In addendum to my earlier post, I ripped alpha Bravo out of his prison (I don't like the new things they are using to keep the figure in place), and after an hour of just messing around with him, I'm really impressed.

Hasbro have really out done themselves with this line :)

Agree, what happened to those paper ties? I thought Hasbro was going for greener packaging. These little things are fiddly, some can be untagged at one end so if you wanted to you could repack but most are in such awkward places that you cant get your fingers to them.

Cyclonus is impresive, but I'm still quite happy with the deluxe.

As for Leader Ultra Magnus,.......I can't sat that I'm all that impressed. The whole Minimus gimmick is cool, and its nice to see that it's been referencd, but as far as I can see, that's all the cab does, is form a box cockpit. After the wonder of MP22, I'd want this to do more than it does. Am glad I've got City Commander.

Protectobots/Defensor are absu-friggin-lutely awesome. Yes, 3 of these guys are repaints/remolds of CW figures that will have already been released, but they, along with the now molds, look amazaing.

Devastator, I'm 50/50 on. Its nice to see that there is finally a proper CHUG figure/set of him, but looking at the individual figures, all I can see are upscaled delexues. They don't look anymore complex than the CW deluxes we are getting, which considering they're supposed to be Voyagers is dissappointing. Add to that that I'm not overboard about some of the aesthetics (mixmaster!) I'm not sure where I sit with these.

 I need to give Fourze another shot sometime, I was put off a bit by the silliness initially...

On a more related note, unless my local TRU is up to its old tricks of screwing around with what waves it chooses to stock at all, I should hopefully be able to pick up some combiner wars stuff tomorrow.
Doubt I'll end up getting the whole lot, but maybe Dragstrip, Alpha Bravo, and a Legend or two- I guess it will depend on whats actually available :P

No luck with Legends unfortunately, there was a peg labelled for them but it had all sorts of junk on, I didn't bother asking if they had any in the back rooms.
They did have a truckload of the Voyagers, and one of each Deluxe on the shelf- suffice to say it's now only firefly and skydive left there

Why would wave2 be hitting now? It takes forever to advance and online shops don't have them yet.

I know forbidden planet usually is slow as all hell getting a hold of new stuff, but it's got the ship date down for wave 2 as being some time in mid-april.

Omegalock seems to think they'll have them in stock on the 7th of March, along with the takara femmebots.

Picked up Firefly and Alpha Bravo from TRU Warrington today. I've got to say they're my favourite Combiner War figures so far. They look and feel so sexy. Skydive just looks a little.. clunky in comparison.

Waiting on Air Raid to complete my Aerialbots set. Resisted the urge to buy Dragstrip as I think the girlfriend might kill me if I start collecting *another* combiner set that I HAVE to complete.

I've also spent this half term putting flooring down in the loft of my newly built house. It's becoming a much more arduous task than I thought with the amount of wires and piping up there that I didn't take into account. My overall 'Operation Mancave' plan is still a go but I ain't half working for it.. >:oP

Nice find! Perhaps I won't have to resort to online sites for future waves. Don't have a problem supporting independent retailers but sometimes they can be pricey. Masterforce do the deluxes at a nice price of £14.99, but along with the likes of Kapow and Omegalock the Voyagers are near enough 30 quid.

Kapow have the figures from New York Toy Fair up for pre-order now, by the way.

Oh.. ok that IS promising.

I am getting a little afraid that I may wake up soon!

Postie delivered my Whirl / Shockwave that I won off of Lena a couple of weeks back. Lovely figure and looks bloody excellent as the old logical one :)

I think he will be my Generations Shockwave for now (sorry Beast hunters Shocky, you can go back to my Prime Cons shelf)

Anyone want a Generations Roadbuster? Got a loose one, complete, hanging about that I have no idea why I bought (I have 2...WHY?!?!?!)

Oh and only place of note was Sainsbos that had a Powerglide... If anyone is still after him I can try and pick him up for them... or any of the CW wave ones for tat matter.

I love my Sainsburys

Just spotted this.

Skydive still plays, in my mind, the role of the jerk who's obsessed with looking big. Probably because of the chunkier legs and much wider chest/shoulders in robot mode. Firefly has a much meaner, leaner look and feel to it, can't wait to find a second, non-broken one. :D
