Not quite a store sighting, but yesterday I attended a little comic-con type event in Carlisle, named "Megacon", and got quite a large Transformers haul:
Image
I got G1 Powermaster Optimus, Action Master Armored Convoy, Ultra Pretender Skyhammer and the Micromaster Combiner Battlefield Headquarters from a stall selling old retro toys. I've known the guy running the stall for years, and he did me an excellent discount of £30 for all four toys! Granted, most of the weapons and accessories are missing, the stickers are peeling off, Powermaster Optimus' grey parts have turned an odd shade of yellow-green, and one of the two Micromasters is missing an arm, but still, four G1 toys for £30 is an absolute steal!
The Last Knight Hot Rod came from another stall mostly selling Lego mini-figures and Funko Pops, it was only £15, but the box had already been opened and the instruction sheet was gone, so I had to go by feint memories of AOE Lockdown to transform him.

Nice catch, the guns are looking white for the power master prime so that is surprising to me(My Jap reissue ones are grey).

B&M had skyshadows instead of sixshot and the TR Legends Roadburn and Brawn at £4 each, still no deluxes in yet. I caved in and picked up a Brawn as I prefer it's colors over the takara version. Also might be worth noting Kapow has cosmos/sea spray for £20, TR Titan masters wave 2 (clobber etc) all four of them for £13. Legends Trypticon at £100, no need to do the leg fix on him and Sky shadows at £20 if you haven't had any luck finding him in your local areas.

£20 for skyshadow when I just paid £25 on Facebook. Would have rather spent at kapow but still on the kappw Facebook ban so I didn't see the announcement :BANG_HEAD:

So toy's r us have the 2nd wave of Deluxes listed on their website, hopefully (i stress hopefully) they'll come into stock as it beats paying extra to get imports.

Cool, Smyths check online/instore thing can be be wrong, the store that had one dreadwing and no others instock according to the online checker had two dreadwinds, jazz, slag, starscream and grimlock.
I figure it would be simple enough to get a part 3d printed to be able to attach dread wing to classics darkwing in relatively ok looking way but I'll probably get the POTP figure anyhoos just to have them the same size in robot mode.

Classics darkwing...ah the silverbolt redeco? I wonder how it would look? Depending on how things go I might try and pick up dreadwind this week but I hope to get some prime masters especially the metal hawk homage

Well well well, with TRU taking the plunge I figure they're gonna liquidate a bunch of stock? I'll be keeping an eye on Twitter, but typically administration discounts are done on a store-by-store basis I think. Might actually get myself up to the Coventry branch this weekend and take a gander.
Quite an upheaval for the UK market though if this is indeed permadeath for them! Especially in terms of exclusives etc... :-?

blackeyedprime wrote:It would be cool if B&M ever restocked the K.O hexatron/sixshot.

 for what it's worth, I nabbed one off eBay for cheap in the aftermath of their B&M presence and you're not missing out hugely- it's a good laugh but some very flimsy joints and awkward not-quite-fitting tabs make it a bit of a chore at times. Then again, it's far higher quality than a lot of knockoffs I've come across! Plus the swords it comes with are utter beasts. Worth a look-in if it does crop up again I guess

Quick addendum: made it to the Coventry TRU despite the nonsense weather and they had an... alright selection? All TFs (and a lot of other stock) running 20% off in their panic sale, no idea if that's expected to go further or not :???:
TLK: Voyager Grim aplenty, a few Leader Megatrons and a single prime, Infernocus by the dozen, lots of the exclusive deluxe wave with stealth bomber megs & Skullitron, the odd deluxe dinobots or skweeks here and there
RID: some crash combiners including a set invoking Prime and I think the jetfire-esque pair, both ultrabee and cyclonus' combiner, some deluxe including Twinferno and Soundwave, various assorted legends and minions
Generations: naff all! I grabbed Topsin leaving two Twinferno as the only deluxe figures, a few legends (Bee, Roadburn, a couple Brawns, a single Cosmos, and one Kickback which I snapped up), nothing at all Voyager-wise, a leader Blaster, and a single Rodimus Prime as the sole POTP representative, tucked away beside some 1-step Dragonstorms. I'll admit he was very tempting, but even at 20% off of £47 I had to be strong and put him down. One day, when I'm slightly less broke...
Barring non-mainline, young-kid-focused figures that's all she wrote I'm afraid. Happy hunting to anyone else who plans on making the best of the TRU situation, hopefully your local has more to offer than mine!

20% is better than a kick in the teeth, by the time I get down to mine I doubt they'll have anything left.

Not really sure it would be worth the train fare but will see what I feel like doing on Sunday.Kapow has POTP battetrap for £25 for the pair (weirdly no listings for their wave mate tailgate) & sadly Ramhorn but only with three other titan masters that I already have at £25.

@ArmadaPrime cool, I'll keep an eye out for him, my B&M had the oversize KO combiners wars deluxes in (3 designs -rook, firstaid and streetwise recolors) at two for £15 but typically no ko hotshot, though the torso aspect doesnt seem to have any way of locking the limbs in place.

Nothing too exciting to report, TK Max had Baynus Premier? edition Slash in at £9.99 The robot mode looks decent on it but it would probably be better off displayed with Gundams or something.

Amazon have Wave 1 of PotP available on to buy, and if you find the right listings you can get some of them for some decent prices ie Deluxe Slug & Swoop for £16.99 each:

Asda is still the best bet for Prime Masters, the one I went to only had Skullgrin and Cloudburst.

They had nothing in at the toys r us near me (well they had TR cosmos) but here is the list of closing dates for some of the stores if it is any use (supposedly up to 90%+ off on the last day of opening)

Closure dates subject to change
Wednesday 7th March - Hayes and Basingstoke
Thursday 8th March - Tunbridge Well, Scunthorpe, Old Kent Road and Exeter
Friday 9th March - Plymouth and Tamworth
Saturday 10th March - Doncaster, Leicester, Watford and Cambridge
Sunday 11th March - East Kilbride and Birmingham
Monday 12th March - Shrewsbury, York, Derry City and Kirkcaldy
Tuesday 13th March - Brislington, Belfast and Livingston
Wednesday 14th March - Aberdeen
Thursday 15th March - Cardiff, Bradford and Bolton

Hmm...mine isn't on that list but that could mean it's already gone. So far only the Asda living store in teesside park has had the prime masters in while my local and the bigger one in portrack Lane has only stocked the quick changers from the last knight and some of the animated series.

I paid one final visit to my nearest Toys R Us today and bought a 25% off Infernocus, not a particularly good figure, but it will be a nice memento to Toys R Us. They also had LOADS of Deluxe Skullitrons, a few of those Optimus Prime twin-packs, and a couple of Titans Return things like Titanmaster Brawn and Deluxe Twinferno (I notice Twinferno shelf-warms like crazy at every toy store in my area, he's like this generation's Injector!), but sadly no Power of the Primes figures. The Entertainer up the road has Legends Beachcomber and Windcharger, but that's about it.
