Kendo would be useful in fending off chavs/zombies I guess. Take up something more odd too! Like, um, polo! Kendo-polo!!

IQ tests dont work! All the internet ones I did told me diffent things :P

I don't know...! I just don't know.

I'm so confused.

I don't know what to do with my life.

I do want to start learning Kendo though, I'm not confused about that. But I don't want to go back to full time education for another five or more years only to never use what I learn.

Booze is overrated, half a glass of wine and I can't hit the centre of a target. For shame!

Aw Tekka, we can be confused about life together. Even if I do somehow get into Uni to do this course, I know there is nothing for me at the other side... At least you know you want to learn Kendo. :P

I've been shopping for equipment (£400 for an armour set! ouch!) and I was reminded of the sword ban that the labour government introduced at the beginning of the month. Because... you know, there's been a rise in the appearance of Samurai and Ninja teams robbing banks and holding up armoured cars recently.

Stupid government. What will they ban next? Megatron's got to be on their list somewhere.

They banned swords? Really? I havent heard anything about it, when they say banned, do they mean we need to give up any we already have, or that a lisence is required for any new ones? That's silly!

Learn to use a gun instead, don't need a licence for most. :P

They list all these incidents where they were used in crimes, but come on. They ban swords but as you said, we're still able to get hold of guns, hunting knives and all sorts. It's crazy.

Can they honestly not find something better to do?

That's just dissapointing, I mean, so many other weapons are more dangerous, easier to conseal and more easily avalable. It's just because they are an easy target.

So, what are you going to do about learning Kendo then?

Well it's not a problem since Shinai are made of wood. I would have liked more swords at some point, but that's impossible now.

Kendo with real swords would be scary. :P Men and Tsuki strikes would be fatal.

See, I always thought that Kendo was with those wooden pole things! My friend who is ment to know about such things told me those are just for training, and that you get real swords later. What a fool.

Please dont beat anyone up with one, they will try to ban sticks. :P

LOL! Seriously?

Oh dear. Tsuki with a real katana would go straight through the armour and straight through the neck cutting through the spine. It would not be pretty.

I hope you go back and educate your friend now.

They'll have to pry my sticks from my cold dead hands!

Oh I shall! I saw a video of people practicing and I thought there is no way they would be doing that with swords. Haha, now to go make fun of him! Um, nicely, as he has some swords of his own, I dont want to be another reason to ban them. :P

I'm not going to hear on the news about some crazed, stick weilding manic attacking people in the toy asiles of Tesco once Animated Megs is out am I?

Beginners classes don't start until the 4th of September. I think he will be out before then... Maybe I will order a Shinai and take it to the Wave 2 launch just so I can be in the news.

I will scream out "MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!" before lightly tapping people on the head that get too close to the display. Then get tazered by the police and carted off to jail.

Edit:

You have ordered the following items:

Ref: BS-2-39
Description: BS-2 Shinai - Gun Ryu Dobari<br>Sizes: Size 39
Qty: 1
Cost: £19.57

That, and the fifteen exams I need to revise for

Get the loan sorted and your choices made before you sort out accommodation. IIRC, the deadline for loan applications is usually in may, so get that form filled in, otherwise you will end up being paid late. They don't just say that, they mean it - so many of my friends didn't hit the deadline and had to wait longer for their loans.

Don't worry about uni too much Tan, there's always clearing after the results are published if you can't get in anywhere beforehand. One tip I'll give you though, try avoiding pompous traditional unis. If you don't fit the profile of their typical student, then you probably wont be accepted. And another tip, don't aim too high - find somewhere that accepts highish grades but not incredibly low or incredibly high ones. A BBC offer is usually about right for most people.

Graduation = not fun :( Jazzrules, what are you doing after uni?

Tan, this guy knows his stuff so I'd take heed. Another factor to consider is that even if you do miss your offer by a grade or two, it's worth phoning up the university to see if they will still take you - my friend needed ABB to get on a Masters for Neuroscience and she only got BBC, but they still let her on! So its always worth having a go.

Hurrah! Finally got my Revoltech Roddy

The pros: Two guns!, cool poses, The stand is handy.
The cons: The hands are a bugger to change, I thought part of the back fin could be removed to make a smaller 'hot rod' fin - it can't.

After seeing those pics, the Revoltech line is starting to look good...

Why must everything look good when I have no money???

Hooray! I am back from my holiday to the Isle of Wight! Yay! Everyone party!
Have I missed anything interesting? Any reason why Nicktoons didn't show Megatron Rising?
Stupid Nicktoons, now I have to watch it on my tiny computer screen instead :-(
