I liked the Scioli's GI Joe Vs. Transformers and Hearts of Steel interpretations of him. The Astrotrain is an enormous transport. That is also an enormous bot. Much like Broadside, given their function, they should never have been at the same scale as everyone else. But Super Robots, closer in scale to Omega Supreme.

That I agree. Unfortunately, the G1 toy was taken from another company so nothing scaled at the time. It could have been "fixed" for later interpretations though.

Imagine a titan class Astrotrain. Giant freaking bot like Metroplex. Transform into the space shuttle with the fuel tank and rocket boosters. And the train that not only have the engine, but 2 or 3 wagons. This thing if ever made, would be EPIC.

Exactly. Nothing could be done at the time, not that scaling mattered at all with the original toyline in comparison with their cartoon interpretations (Points to Galvatron). But there is no reason for Astrotrain to be under those constraints anymore. Poor Broadside needs a lot more size to make his triple changer status decent, at least.

The vehicle look pretty damn nice in it's grittyness!



Transformation is pretty damn easy. No more complicated than your average Studio Series figure. He look fantastic!



Speaking of Studio Series, he's a perfect match against SS WW1 Hotrod.<<



I'll be tempted to get every molds of that series.

Then for some reasons, I got the desire to have a Cybertronian HotRod. So I got the SXS Hot Flame.



The bot mode is absolutely fantastic and it doesn't appear to transform at all. Look like a Furai model kit! But he's pretty damn expensive at 150/CAN for what is basically a all-plastic voyager. No fancy paint either. But it's still way cheaper than the lone listing on eBay.

Transformation is a bit nightmarish, bringing some RotF PTSD. But I could figure it out enough to achieve a pretty solid Cybertronian vehicle. (I added a little )



Overall, I feel I overpaid, but just a wee bit. I'm pretty glad to have him.

That Optimus is a pure ORIGINAL mold. Way too big to be in scale with MPM, but work perfect with MP-01.

Plus he's not annoying to transform. Geek Stuff still have one for sale. At 200$can plus taxes, it look expensive, but you can always unload some unwanted stuff to the store to make it basically "free".

For sure! The price has gone back up to $70 but it did that Friday night and was back down to $0.12 by yesterday evening. I know someone on Twitter that ordered around 20 or so when they were $0.12 on Friday midday

You're probably right, but I still can't believe on Friday there were two different sellers each selling a KO for twelve cents. And the KBB OP looks like it is sold by the Amazon KBB store

So the T-08 Shake Sky Wing (KO MPM 2007 Megatron) that I ordered just arrived today. The bottom pic shows the figure as it is when I took it out of the box. I was transforming the wings-backpack to complete the robot mode until I encountered an EXTREMELY tight peg that just won’t detach (shown and circled in the top pic). Is there any way to loosen the peg?

Got a few things!

For Starter, the "MPM" Soundwave! Expensive as balls but at least I bought it by dumping unwanted things at my local geek store. Looks sexy and bad-ass, but it will be quite intimidating to get back into car mode for you see, it was his last one and was on display in bot mode. So I didn't transformed him yet.



Next is a bunch of sexy girls that I will make a thread about later, and the Paralax armor upgrade for my naked Classic Optimus bought at the flea market.



That armor was a bit tricky to install no thanks to the unclear instructions. Once I'm done, the results are impressive but Optimus is even more kibbly on the arms.



This promote that voyager to leader class.



The pieces snap in solidly, but the arm's are unstable. I should glue them on.

The truck mode is a clear winner and its HUGE!



Overall, way worth the less than 40$CAN I paid for everything. Including the core bot, taxes, and shipping.

Finally I picked this kit up. Had my eye on it for years and I just noticed it pop back on BBTS and couldn't resist. Now to wait for the base figure to arrive!

Anyone have experience with this kit?
