With all the latest buzz about the Gear of Wars set lately, it's probably not surprising that iGear has just released some test shots of their new Autoscout cassette, posted at TF08.net. The new images clearly give you a good sense of scale (well, we already knew how big it was going to be) and of the level of detail it will have.

Re: Updated Autoscout images from iGear
This one looks to be more detailed than TFC Toys' version. One question, is this coming separate from the Magnus head set or a part of it. If its alone, awesome, if not, anyone want a new Magnus head set? Hopefully the price will be right and I can just buy both versions and sell the one I don't like as well as the accessories that I don't want (don't think about touching my rockets though).
Your local source for posts that are overly long.

Pretty neat little guy. There also seems to be a lot of competition from these fan-made companies. First we get several types of rollers, then we get a few Classics Prime trailers, and now two Autoscouts! Industrial sabatauge?
I'm not 100% sure if I'll get Inferno yet. If I do, then the gear of War looks pretty good to me. (Even if the new Inferno isn't the type of firetruck that carries a ladder ... whatever!) If not, then this one seems like it'd be worth a buy.
Gotta wonder at the price too. I'm not nearly as impulsive at getting TFs as I'd usually be.

- Weapon: Twin Sonic Cannons
Looks pretty cool, though I've pre-ordered Gear of War so I don't need 2 Autoscouts

Guaranteed buy, unless it ends up being too expensive, of course... but this autoscout looks perfect
.

Optimus Prime: Great... but how are we gonna explain to capellamusic the hole on his wall?
Megatron: Hmm... a free natural air conditioning system?

They did a really good job on this.
The paint apps are a bit off, with there being too much purple around the center screen area and missing purple bar directly beneath it.
Still, awesome job.
Wouldn't mind a repaint or two... one in more "Autoboty" colors and one in black with neon green details.
