V2 vs V1 City Commander
V2 vs V1 City Commander

I had thought i read some concerns about the colors being different (chrome or more silver on the legs possibly) I kept my eyes open for any posts talking about this after the initial chatter and heard nothing. I received mine on Friday and would just like to inform anyone previously wondering, that I cannot find any difference in color anywhere on the figure from the original release.
Love the figure too. Back left shoulder peg for UM's gun is a bit loose but i tightened it up enough with a few layers of tape. The knee joints don't snap in totally flush with the knee caps, but its pretty close. I have Optimus in there now, but because of the color matching plastic colors may end up looking for a UM when the prices come down.
Very happy to finally have him.

I am NOT he!"
I've got CC V1 and a Shadow Commander, so I'm pretty happy, but if I can get a Powered Commander for under $175, I probably will, just so G3 Trailer can tow it.

Yes, I was aware of the differences between the Powered commander sets. People we saying there was potential for some of those paint apps to make it over into CC. At least I thought i read that at some point. Either way, ended up being not true.

For anyone who has both versions of the CC set, I'm just wondering if the new version has other improvements too? I have the original version. I know the new version has the holes for the new missile launchers in trailer mode (that the original didn't). When FansProject made Shadow Commander, I remember they fixed some minor details (something about clearance issues or articulation? I don't remember), and just wondering if there were these types of differences in the new CC armor?
Razorclaw: DO IT! Get the Powered commander or DIA commander armor... I LOVE having Optimus towing both the G3 trailer and DIA commander trailer.

That sounds like a poor short-term fix. Can't you do the superglue trick?

I just think I won't be placing the guys on his shoulders, I like it better without them there anyway so no big deal.

I'm not talking about the small "bumper sticker" sheet, I got that with V1. V2 came with a decals to add detail to the sides and front of the trailer mode.
Thanks for the comparison info!
Nope, you didn't lose the decal sheet for V1... I have version 1, and it didn't come with the nice decals yet, unfortunately.

Wow, that seems unnecessarily harsh.
LiKwid wrote:I never owned V1 of CC but I did pick V2..The only realissue I had is with the roof scoop cannon..The peg hole it's supposed to fit into just won't take it..I don't want to modify it in anyway , anyone else had this prob?
Yeah I had a similar problem with V2. Although I was able to make it work, just had to really push the peg in to the hole as deeply as possible. Even then it's not the best connection, but mine will stay.

I bought the upgrade kit and wanted to add that the stickers aren't included in that. Just an fyi, in case anyone was wondering. I wasn't sure myself until I opened it.
Yes, V2 does come with the plugs.
